First time there had the mango duck, spring rolls, and teriyaki beef skewers. Delicious (except I had forgotten how much I disliked peanut sauce which was with the skewers). Sure, I'd like a little more duck too, but what I got was really good. Five stars. Second trip had the beef pad see ew. Also delicious. Still five stars. Third trip, pad Thai. Really good, but just a solid four stars. (At this point I think I've found a consistently awesome Thai place. At this point I'm wrong.) Fourth trip was back to the beef pad see ew that I know to be good. Wasn't at all. Beef was chewy and lacked that delicious sear, noodles were clumpy and pasty, and everything was just off. If I had gotten this on my first visit, it would have been my only visit. Two stars and that's being overly generous. I'm currently walking there now to try to find out which of my visits was the fluke, and which was the norm. The test dish will be beef pad kee mao. Stay tuned. read more

Extensive menu, extremely fresh and colorful ingredients, no one in our party of 5 even ordered the pad Thai there was so much tip choose from! More like 4.5 stars. This tiny hole in the wall place serves the best Thai food I've had. Everything my family ordered came out deliciously prepared. My friends and I have never had any trouble when it comes to catering to our vegan/vegetarian diets here, I would however love if they began to carry a milk alternative (coconut, soy, almond, rice) so we could enjoy some Thai iced tea as well. Krua Thai never fails to disappoint. We've been here only a couple times, since we live far from the Natick area, but every time we stop by Natick Mall, we come here for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is small, but its food is packed with flavor. We ordered the tom yum papaya salad, chicken red curry, vegetable fried rice, and Krua Thai's famous signature pad thai. All were outstanding; however, my personal favorite is the pad thai. I cannot recommend it enough. Great service too. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch while in the area. Tiny restaurant probably better for takeout. Service was very friendly from the waitress to the cooks...all making sure we were happy with our food. Started with an excellent Thai iced coffee & spring rolls. Went with pad thai & mango curry with chicken for our meals. A solid 3.5 for the food....good but certainly not the best Thai I've ever had. The food here is delicious! Even better they will actually make it spicy if you ask (tell them you want it at the "five chile" level--the menu goes to three, then insist that you enjoy "Thai spicy" food. This produced a curry at a legit 3 chile level, much better than I've been able to achieve at other Thai places in the suburbs.) Everything we've had in several visits has been fresh, hot, and wonderfully prepared. Service is friendly and good for this kind of place, it's mostly take out, there are only a half dozen tables. (so don't look for the "fine dining" experience). Sadly they don't have a liquor license, I didn't ask if you could bring your own beer. The food is a small notch below what you find at Simians or some of the other restaurants in town, but for the 'burbs it's fantastic. read more

Krua Thai is AMAZING. The place is a little small, so I don't know if it gets busy on weekends. On weeknights, there's always a table and great service. I take EVERYONE here when I need a good place for dinner with family and friends. We eat a LOT of curry, and this was the best we've ever had. Ingredients taste fresh. Service is fast and courteous. Prices are reasonable and fairly standard (perhaps a little less expensive) than other Thai places. Ordered: Pad Thai - Great, a little lighter (perhaps sweeter) than what I'm used to. Really delicious. Mango Curry - My husband loved it. Ordered it twice within one week. Panang Curry - Unbelievably good. I could not get enough. I had it three times within three weeks..... I am so grossed out RN..About a year ago I found a a hair in my Pad Thai ..So I did not order Pad Thai from Krua Thai for a very long time. I just tried it again today and I found what looks like an eyelash my husband said it was a bristle but I dont think so ( it looked like it had mascara on it) Then after 5 min of arguing he convinced me eat it. This place is a weekly staple of ours. The chicken basil fried rice is the best and its even better re-heated! (although I can't handle the full 3 spice action on this one) This is one of the more frequent locations we get to but they have had trouble finding good staffing and are closed Sundays and Mondays now - hence the 4 star. :-( read more

The 5 stars is for the area, not necessarily for the best thai food, but for being the best thai food we can get takeout from in Natick. Best Thai food we have had in the area for years! Great Tum Yum soup, Pad Thai, Masaman Curry and Wild Boar Basil. Will definitely be back.
