How can I give them NO stars?? Bought three of their Home chef rack of ribs to have for the 4th with family today. It is now 4:30 on the 4th and what do I do? Open them up and ready to heat them on my grill and find that one of the racks (the lady grilling KNEW THIS!) was totally charred black on the underside. Uneatable! What I don't get is when I bought these all the Big Wigs from Kroger were visiting this store and they laughed with me that I was getting a good thing. This location was formerly my family's number one Kroger, but they have been challenged with all of these new Covid rollouts and they recently completed a store update. Located in the middle of Scenic Hwy, it can be a hassle to get here on the weekend or during peak periods during the day (4-5pm). I went there via Instacart to find that they are remodeling their meat department, which is fine UNTIL...you're looking for a special bran of chicken...TYSON'S!!!!! I asked an employee where I might find it, and he clearly told me it could be ANYWHERE in the store....REALLY? Meaning you're not gonna take the time to look or better yet ask a manager??? I work for tips, and at this point, I want to at least get an answer yes or no. I was not done there... I requested a manager who was nearing her off time However, she went above and beyond to at CHECK the back. She, Nadja, a sweet soul, came back and advised that they did have Tysons in the back but not what the customer requested. My second favorite Kroger:). I love the layout and the well stocked shelves. Most Kroger's are laid out like this but this one is super clean, well stocked and the customer service is awesome! With Halloween approaching candy and decor was everywhere:). I was tempted to buy the decor but I'll wait after the holiday for 50% off. This place lately always has empty freezer sections for weeks at a time. The deli counter closes at 7pm apparently on a Monday which I'm sure isn't true it's just poor staffing or people closing it early. It's never stocked with basic items. This review is for this location during the Covid pandemic and mostly regarding the pick-up service. I love this service as it prevents me from having to go into the store. Most of the time, I get what I request online. I have found for some items, the Kroger brand is just as good as the name brand. If they are out of the Kroger brand, they will substitute a name brand for no additional cost. This is a wonderful plus. Now, they are not as savvy as Instacart, who will text you while they are shopping and ask you what you want to substitute something with right then and there, but it will do. Instead, they make a logical substitution and tell you about any changes when they bring your items to the car. You review it and if it's not okay, they run in and make an adjustment. The key to using the service and getting what you want is to pick a good Kroger location. I used the service at another Kroger, and they kept not having the items I wanted or making too many substitutions and that is a total bummer. So, I picked another location (this one) and they almost always have the items that I need and very rarely have to make substitutions. They will send you a text reminding you to pick up your order at the time and location that you chose online. Once you arrive, park in the Pick-Up spaces and call the phone number listed in the text or on the sign, and they come right out with your things. Kroger does this service for free during the pandemic. I think it usually costs $4.99. I appreciate Kroger for waiving the fee during this time. You can also use coupons using this service. When you call to let them know you have arrived, they ask if you have them. A few problems I have had: I was given a rotten lettuce head. I mean you could look at it and see the brown yuck. I had to throw it away immediately. I have had some questionable onions too. A little more attention to fresh item choices would be helpful. Also, I once ordered a few Lean Cuisine frozen dinners of different varieties and was told that they were out of all of them. Sorry, I don't believe that one. One variety?, I could go for, but not all different ones. Lastly, they were out of something I ordered and they simply did not make a substitute when they could have. These are exceptions though. When I have gone into this store (because getting some disinfecting wipes won't happen with the online service, but occasionally I have found it available in the store), I see that employees have a mask on, but not covering their noses in most cases. I try so hard not to go in. I also want to say that the employees who bring the groceries out have all been super nice and professional. I have appreciated them. I enjoy shopping for groceries at this store and it's very convenient since it's only 5 minutes from my house. But tonight was my only inconvenient experience I've had while getting gas. I didn't get the employee's name because I didn't see her name tag. But the first thing that I noticed was her attitude when I came to the register. She's light skinned, brown eyes, kinda heavy and has long braids. I gave her simple directions and she STILL messed up my order. I bought $35 of gas and planned on paying with a $20 bill and I told her to charge the remaining 15 to my debit card. Idk if she wasn't listening or if she was just distracted by stress on the job. But she ended up charging the whole amount to my card and gave me $8 in change back. It's not a big deal but that's not what I asked for and my account was overdrawn as a result. I'm an executive chef nearby and I stopped at this store to pick up marble rye and some corn beef. The bakery was completely empty, and there was no marble rye on the shelves. There was one person working in the deli and she took 20 minutes to acknowledge me. The man next to me kept coming and going because she took so long. I asked for some THINLY sliced corned beef and she sliced it so thick there were about 5 sliced in the pack. I left it at the store. Terrible service. She kept walking by the counter, looking me right in my face. I think she was hoping I'd leave. I called Publix and asked them to make my order because this girl just wasted about 45 minutes of my time, because she didn't slice it quickly. read more

Unfortunately, the time it took to get two pounds of lunch meat at the Deli, my companion was able to retrieve enough groceries to fill the cart. It took the deli person 15 minutes to find the lunch meat and slice one pound. And 15 minutes for the other. I suspect she was VERY NEW. Then we checked out with limited urgency or efficiency. YOU NEED A CAFÉ! It's morning and I am beyond hungry so I head to the nearest grocery store which is my strategy when I am in an unfamiliar area. Once I enter, I notice that this is an older Kroger with no gourmet department, no soup bar and no eat-in café. They also did not have my much sought after Swiss chard. So what did they have? They had beautifully cooked and perfectly seasoned baked wings. Best of all, they did not sit them in that fatty liquid that some locations use to keep the wings from drying out. They were nicely crisp on all sides with no sogginess at all. Yes! Before you purchase those wings, you must peer into the dish to make sure that they are not sitting in liquid because you do not want soggy wings. Trust me! Stay away from the pharmacy. The pharmacists mostly are helpful. Being disabled is difficult in itself. Released from the hospital on 1/5 went to Everson Poiny where all my meds are filled and the tech said I didn't have rx coverage. I was so desperate for the meds I paid their asking price. I found a drug store who said it literally took them a few minutes to put my info in and obtain my drug coverage plan and I have 8 prescriptions filled at 4 each. Now another urgent need was needed on 1/24 and my doctor sent to Kroger on file. The tech again said I had no coverage and refused to put a few minutes in to resolve this. I wound up paying close to $20 instead of $8. When I lived in Rome they didn't have my medicine twice. It was a 90 day rx I had to demand at least 30 and Instead of charging for the 90 with and IOU they charged for 30 and cancelled my prescription. They don't care. Have always shopped here and loved it until tonight around 8:30pm, August 17th. I came in with my girlfriend to grab a few items before we head home and during checkout we had a few coupons to redeem. The cashier tending the self checkouts came over to scan the coupons, one coupon failed to process. she checked the item and we accidentally misread the coupon and got the wrong item. We apologized and requested to cancel the item. The cashier LETITA was very passive aggressive and rude towards us. She gained an attitude and gave us dirty looks. The store manager was busy at the time so we couldn't speak with them but I will absolutely NEVER shop here again. Publix has won my heart and the BOGO just tops it off for me. I went to this store on Scenic Hwy in Snellville Ga on and ordered a cake from the bakery to have picked up on Saturday. When I went to pick the cake up on Saturday I was stunned at how bad the cake looked. The lady working in the bakery said the cake decorator wasn't there so she did the cake. I was stunned because of the appearance of the cake. The cake didn't even have the 21 on it like I had requested and was clearly on the ticket. I paid for the cake and went to my car and cried. When I got myself together I went back to the store for a refund. The young lady at the customer desk was nice and looked at the cake and agreed it looked horrible and gave me a refund. When I asked could I get the cake since I had no other cake for my daughters 21st b'day she called someone who told her no. She even said I don't know why they wouldn't let you have it they're just going to toss it out. So they messed up the cake and would rather toss it out instead of offering the customer something else. This shows me Kroger does not care about customer satisfaction. I called the store and asked to speak with a manager and explained the situation to her. She put me on hold and when she got back on the phone she agreed that the cake looked horrible. She apologized and offered me to come in and get a cake already in the bakery and would give me a "discount." Why would I want to do that? I needed a custom cake for my daughters 21st b'day. I will never shop at any more Kroger stores and will make sure I encourage my family not to as well. This is an important b'day for my daughter which your store has ruined. I can't understand why an employee would attempt making a cake if she was not a cake decorator. This should never had happened. So again, my daughter has NO CAKE to celebrate her 21st b'day.I am heart broken, angry, and disappointed. And the sad part is that no one really tried to make things right for their mistake. Yep, this is one of the nicer Krogers in Snellville and with the new remodeling done to the deli area, its even better.

I try not to go anywhere else but this Kroger. There is plenty of parking. There are always plenty of shopping carts available at the front door. Although many have the wobbly tires I have noticed that they have been fixing or replacing them. The produce department is always very clean and have great looking product. The deli department is my favorite. Always several employees working to cut down on a wait time. If there is a line I notice that other deli employees stop what they are doing to come over and help. That is awesome. Always get free samples of whatever I am wanting to buy or try. The hot food and other pre-made food they sold is always fresh. I've never really encountered a meat counter employee or had the need but I can always find what I am looking for. In the past there was a type of drink that I wanted that they did not carry. I asked the manager of they could order it for me. Not only did they order it they started stocking it on the shelves in several varieties. The only reason I did not give this store 5 stars is that the front end employees and managers always seem "too good" to bag groceries. Don't just stand there and call for someone else to bag ... Bag until someone else gets there. Also one cashier who always works ( D ) tries to analyze what is going on in my life or in my house by what groceries I'm buying. "Oh you must be having a cookout" or "oh you must be celebrating Thursday ". None of your business ! Overall a great store. Wish they had a Starbucks and gas pump. read more

Water fountains are mostly blocked by shelves and crates of merchandise needing to be put away. As a pregnant shopper/customer, taking a break from spending money in this store to grab a gulp of water and not being able to because of employees laziness was disappointing. None of the cashiers can ring up produce correctly without playing the guessing game. Tonight a cashier ran tomatoes as zucchini, then took 15 minutes to correct her mistake because herself nor any of the 3 others she asked for help knew how to remove this one incorrect produce item from our total. When speaking out loud to my family regarding the mistake, a second employee arrived to help and interrupted my private conversation to argue that I'm wrong (her name was Letitia and of course I wasn't wrong and my family agreed and let them know). Clean your store, teach your employees the names of fruits and veggies (my mommy taught me at 5), and never fucking argue with a customer. read more

This store really impressed me today. I was having a really hard time finding an Avengers: Infinity War cake for my son's 7th birthday party on Saturday (today is Thursday). I walked in the store with an idea in my head not sure if it would be able to come to life. Lexi in the bakery listened closely to my idea. Unfortunately, Lexi was about to be off for the day and was not scheduled to work for the next two days. (For perspective, the person I was describing my idea to wouldn't be available to make the cake which is not a great scenario.) Lexi immediately offered to come in on her off day and make this cake for me since she was the one I was describing my idea to. She did not have to do this.... she could have left the cake up to a different cake decorator who didn't hear thidea straight from me and hoped it turned out ok. Oh, this is my Kroger. It's the one closest to my house and the one I go to all the time. At the meat counter, everyone is usually friendly. I get my fresh fish there and ask for the free seasonings for butter and herbs from time to time. I never get it on the fish. I asked them to put it in a little baggie for me on the side. It's never any problem. Until today when the seafood manager ( I've never seen him before) refused to give it to me because I wouldn't let him put it on the fish. I explained that I like to do that part myself. Clean the fish, you know. Then I put it on myself. I saved over $400 what's my Kroger Plus card this year. That should tell you how much I spend there. It bothered me that the Seafood manager and the store manager both refused to give me a tablespoon of seasoning that is advertised as free because I wanted to put the seasoning on myself. The store manager actually said that by not letting them put the seasoning on the fish for me and then put it in the easy bag, I was probably getting away with about $0.50 worth of product. They will have to retrain the whole seafood department, he said, because the people who gave me the dried seasoning and/or butter on the side were doing it wrong. The sad part is that between the two of them neither could figure out that the scale doesn't know whether the seasoning is on the fish, on the side, or just in the bag. I started to point this out along with the fact that I had just spent $24 on fish on a $120 grocery bill, but sometimes it's better to just walk away. read more

I have shopped at this store for over 20 years, and it used to be great. The last two years this store has gone steadily downhill, and it is so bad now, that I have started driving to the Kroger on 78 in Loganville just to avoid this Kroger. They have removed the express checkout lanes, their store is always dirty and shelves half empty, and when they have a sale on certain items, those items sell out quickly - Apparently it never occured to them to order more of an item that is going on sale. The last straw with this store was this past weekend when I went to pick up my blood pressure meds, and I was informed that Kroger will no longer price match Publix, so they are no longer doing any prescriptions for free. Needless to say, I will be sending all future prescriptions to Publix. I was actually told by a Kroger employee that ever since corporate got involved, the store has gone downhill. I have heard many customer complaints while at this store, including the fact that they never have very many registers open, and I have had several incidents of Kroger selling expired items. This store is a train wreck! They have stopped carrying certain brands that they used to carry, and it is hit or miss if they will even have items in stock. They need to either clean up their act, or just close this location alltogether. read more
