I don't normally go to Kroger, but this time that I did it wasn't bad. I'm not sure why the low rating (didn't get to read about it). Normally their produce isn't normally fresh necessarily and for me that's usually the issue. They some sales on things I needed, which obviously helps to have a Kroger plus card. Shoppers can be rude and nasty here though. The rare time I come it can feel like a hell hole just because of the shoppers alone. Can't really blame Kroger for that. Could be based on how things are setup in the store or maybe the time of day you choose to go. I'd come back again if I had no choice read more

I love Kroger. It's usually a perfectly serviceable grocery shop. There's some cool things that you can find at Kroger that aren't easy to find at other grocery stores. My favorite thing is Mrs. Renfro's Salsa. Seriously, try the Mango Habanero. Truly great stuff. This particular Kroger is trash. The bathrooms are always a disaster area, and shelves are stocked poorly (even before pandemic 2020). It's probably a nicer Kroger than it used to be, but trash will always remain trash. The shopping experience is pretty unpleasant. There are never enough checkout lanes open, and there seems to always be 2-3 active problems with the self checkout machines. That said, I suggest you use the self checkout machines. The cashiers have consistently been really rude. I am not a suburban housewife with a lot of coupons. I don't buy my produce at Kroger. I usually don't even have a full cart. Believe me when I say that I am very low maintenance at the grocery store. So why tf are so many employees here so rude? I wish I knew. I certainly don't bring it upon myself. I'm sure that they've dealt with plenty of awful customers during the pandemic, but I am not one of them. read more

Kroger - Expensive ice - Grocery Near Me - Lawrenceville, Georgia

This Kroger is my go to because it's so close to my house. Unfortunately the staff here have made it so difficult to like shopping here. Today my experience was the worst of all. I was told by a manager that I could not purchase alcohol with using my Mexican passport as a form of a ID. Mind you I have purchased alcohol at this location using my Mexican passport. Right away I asked the guy who's name tag read Manoj Mike since when have they had this "policy" and he said since one year. Which I knew was a lie. I got on with someone from Kroger chat and they told me the Mexican passport was a valid form of ID. This is absurd to me. Was I discriminated? Or is this Kroger the only Kroger and only establishment who's doing that? Ridiculous. read more

Dirty and in need of renovation. Look up at the light fixtures....don't be surprised by the creepy crawlies in them. Also, there are no drug baggies in the parking lot but there is a lot of other litter. Employees don't bring in the carts.I have had to go back outside to find one. Cashier's and baggers mix up your order with other customer in line routinely. So make sure you pay attention. There is no dress code in here. Women come in here half dressed like they left the club on a Sunday morning with exposed midriff, or sports bra as a top, all thier business hanging out like. Also saw barefoot people. People trying to steal meat by swapping stickers. I've had several run inside with high people that reek of weed inside this Kroger too. Bathrooms are almost never clean. read more

When I look to relocate my residence, I usually do a quick recon of the area. One of those recon points is to check out the shopping in the area. As I was looking to relocate my family into the area, I wanted to check out local grocers. So, I came to this Kroger with a test of sorts. I had an item, (Private Selection of whole bean coffee) which I was going to return to my local Kroger because I picked up the whole bean coffee by accident. We rarely keep receipts as our local Kroger would always accept items for returns (for store credit) or exchange. Not this Kroger apparently. I came in on 7/21 in the late afternoon. I was flatly denied a return or exchange of said item, which was six or seven dollars by the customer service clerk. He wasn't rude, just said, flat out, no. I was going to shop at this Kroger, but with the bad service on the outset, I decided to leave. I went to my local kroger on Five Forks Trickum and they gladly gave me a store credit, which I used right away as I did some grocery shopping. So, that Kroger lost some business all for some $6 bag of inexpensive Kroger coffee. Needless to say, I decided against relocating to that area as well. read more

Love this Kroger! Fresh fruits and vegetables. Good selection of everything. The pharmacy staff are wonderful and very helpful. (We just moved here and didn't know anything about their prescription system). They were great. This Kroger's shopping service is pitiful. Ordered Salmon got sick, order 4 squash 2 yellow 2 zucchini got 2 yellow, they always substitute to the most expensive brand, send us items with expiration dates 1 and 2 days away, no lie they sent me a 1/2&1/2 that expired 3 days later, 1/2&1/2 is usually good for a month or so, their order picker obviously don't know the difference between spices, flavored water, or most likely they are just lazy. On the occasions I've call to complain they say bring it back and they will get it right. Well if I wanted to spend my time in the store I wouldn't have called it in, how about get it right the first time. Walmart actually performs this service better, which is hard to believe. I guess I am off to Wally World next time. read more

I only come to this Kroger for gas. The gas is always extremely cheap, and on top of that, kroger customers get three cents off! Since gas is always really cheap here, the only bad thing is that there's always too many people. I usually get lucky and come right when someone is about to leave. This gas station has about 10 stations if I'm not mistaken. Cheap gas! Maybe you'll run into me if you fill up your gas here often~ that's how often I fill up my tank! read more

I went to this Kroger for grocery shop and noticed that they were selling Lysol wipes so I and my husband first decided to buy 2 packs because I thought we could get 1 for each person. Obviously, I was wrong because I was in a rush and did not read the notification. I admitted this was my bad! When a cashier at the self-checkout area stopped me and took 1 back, I was happy to give her because I understood the situation. At the Lysol area, I met an Asian man (I'll call him Mr. X) who asked me how many packs of Lysol wipes can be purchased for 1 person because he didn't know English. I told him 1 for 1 person (I already explained above that was my initial thought). However later, he had trouble at the cashier area and asked me for help. The cashier did not let him purchase a pack of Lysol because she was told that another person in his household had gotten one while a man (who is also a Kroger staff) just rudely took the pack out of Mr. X's hands without any words. I asked Mr. X if he went with somebody else or if he had purchased one before, he said no. I told the cashier and she told me to talk to that staff. At that time, I believed they had assumed we were from the same household, since my husband already got one so Mr. X could not get it. That was understandable! When I approached the staff who took the Lysol out of Mr. X's hands earlier just to explain to him the situation and would give him our IDs to check, he just DID NOT WANT to talk to me or even listen to me and WALKED AWAY! That unprofessional attitude made me really mad and disappointed in this Kroger store. I have been shopping here for more than 3 years but never experienced that kind of incident. Yes, Mr. X went to shop ALONE because I saw him get to his car by himself while I headed to my car. And I felt terribly bad for him! I just wanted to say please be kind to people! I know everybody is tired because of this pandemic, but you have your own problems and everybody else has theirs too. Just a clear explanation would be enough and could resolve this miscommunication in a different way, but they did not do that!!! read more

I must start by saying it takes a lot to get me to write a review. The pharmacist here named Michelle was not only rude but unprofessional and not knowledgeable. Not only was she unfamiliar with the dosing for a very common medication but was incompetent and unable to even fill the prescription and treated everyone around her with disrespect. The prescription had to be called in elsewhere (without any difficulties). She needs additional training and it is scary to see the level of incompetence especially since she was the only pharmacist there. I would give less than one star. read more

I'm legally blind and cannot drive. The pick up service would be a great asset, so my husband could pick up the groceries on the way home from work. I am baffled that Kroger is going to charge for pick up service, with all their competition. I will instead have my groceries delivered to my door by Walmart and their prices are less expensive. read more

Back down to one star. Good lord, I hate this store so much. I'd rather spend more money at Publix and get a much better experience. The only time I go here is when I really don't feel like driving to public, and I still occasionally get gas here when the station isn't a crowded cluster****. Reason I sent it down to one star: 1.) They are STILL selling expired foods, beef jerky in some cases is nearly a year expired, but they have no problems putting it on the shelf hoping customers won't notice. They say customers can return any item they aren't happy with, but seriously whose going to drive back to the store for a $5 refund? The store is banking on that and instead of cutting their loses and throwing out the bad food, they sell it hoping people don't return it. I live less than a mile away from this store so returning bad items isn't much of a hassle for me, but for those that live further away, coming back to the store for a $5 refund isn't worth it. Heck, depending on where they live, they burn that in gas just getting there and back. I've complained to Kroger on facebook, directly to corporate, and to this store in general about their practice of selling expired foods, but still nothing has been done about it. Also, while on the subject of expired foods, I was in there yesterday (yes I know, stupid me) to get something to cook for the evening, I was out all day and just wanted to get home and did not feel like going to Publix. So after I got the things I wanted to eat (yes I checked expiration dates, this time; won't fool me again), I decided to get some strawberries to make some smoothies at home. I kid you not, every single package of strawberries I picked up had mold growing in them! I gave up on strawberries and just bought the stuff I already had and went home. 2.) The main reason I bumped this down to one star is Kroger stores in other areas are much better in terms of quality and general atmosphere, this shows me that its not a problem with Kroger as company, just this store and that the management at this location simply does not care enough to improve. I will further limit my visits here and Publix (or a Kroger in another area) while be my go to stores from now on. I HATE this store. read more

The customer service here is poor in comparison to the alternate location, and the selection is not as large, BUT there's always a good parking space available and I know the store like the back of my hand. This is a smaller Kroger, but it typically has everything I need, and it is typically a little more affordable than the competitors around. I've never had to take any produce or meat products back, and they try to keep their lanes moving. The cashiers and customer service people are usually pretty friendly. HOWEVER, each time I go there, I always have to tell the manager on duty to do their job! I went there on Friday, August 7, 2017, purchased some salmon and some other items with no issues. When I got home, I noticed something was wrong with the Salmon I just purchased earlier. So I returned to the Kroger customer service to exchange the salmon. There were only a few people in front of me, but they were all purchasing money orders and sending western union transactions, which means that the transaction time was taking longer than normal. This all happened after 5pm, on a FRIDAY!!! As I stood in line waiting, the line grew longer and longer. As I stood there, as the 3rd person in line, waiting for nearly 25 minutes to get to the counter, the store manager Ahksay, was standing near customer service chatting with 2 cashiers. Not as if they are in a meeting or anything, just chatting. I would watch the manager as he would peek over at the customer service line as it got longer and longer. Just as the line was reaching beyond the customer service area, the manager COMPLETELY TURNED HIS BACK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I asked the solo customer service representative to call his manager over. Ahksay, came over and I said, "Didn't you see this line getting longer? I have literally been standing here for over 20 minutes." He responded by saying, I don't work in this area, someone else runs this register. I said, "why would you just turn your back to customer service? He said, he didn't but I said, I sat here and watched you do it. Secondly, if you are a manager and you know someone else works this area and you see the line getting longer, why wouldn't you as the manager call the back up to assist?" He got upset with me and told the customer service representative, I believe his name was Jerami, to assist me with my transaction. I have been going to this store for nearly 3 years, and I patronize the store at least 2 or 3 times a week and this is OFTEN an issue with this store, especially this manager and customer service. For some reason, they are always leaving one cashier in customer service. This particular manager is rude and can often be seen standing around in the front of the store and seems to go out of his way to do as little work as possible (may not be the case, but that is what I get from it). He would also make it a habit to follow my husband around the store on at least 2 occasions, to where my husband had to verbally ask him if he needed something. This particular store and their managers need to do a better job. Even when you complain, they stand there and look as if they really do not care about your concern. I have complained several times about their customer service only having one person, especially during peak hours, and they still have not done anything about it. As the third person in line, it should not have taken me nearly 30 minutes just to make an exchange!!! read more
