By far the worst pharmacy I have ever been too and it's been going on for years. They say a prescription is ready..... get there and it's not. Happens probably about 80% of the time. Today I waited for 2 hours until I finally left with out my prescription because the pharmacist was yelling at a 70 year old woman that just asked if anyone would be working the front desk. I figured I would give the new building a chance but it's the same problems. I thought it was just me but on my 2 hour wait I realized everyone had similar stories. Kroger would be wise just to turn that area into a kiddie playground.

The wine, beer and liquor section here is way above average

Right now in Brownsburg not a lot of shopping options. If you don't want to go to Walmart (very understandable) you have to go here. Pros--alcohol section is great! Has a full time guy who does an amazing job. Generally store is well-stocked even though it is very busy. Can get blown out on weekends but generally they have it. Cons--very narrow aisles, which sucks as there are a ton of customers. Also, need a big upgrade in bakery. Pharmacy is hit and miss--out of stock and no communication with customer. This place really needs a Starbucks in it, and improved Deli area. Avoid around 4:30-6, when it's packed. Service good and quick in the morning.

11 people in line in front of me at 10 a.m. on a Saturday morning.

I can honestly say that after using this pharmacy for a year and a half that they are the worst one you could possibly choose to fill your prescription. They have never had any of my scripts ready when they said they would. If you call them to check the status (when it is a day past the fill date), they put you on hold until you get tired of waiting and just drive there to ask in person, then wait for them to fill it. The final straw was last week when my doctor called in a refill on Tuesday, and they hadn't ever touched it as of Saturday. I called no less than 20 times to check over three days, and never once had anyone answer the phone. Two voicemails from me, one from my doctor's office, and one from Walmart pharmacy (as I requested it be transferred to them); no responses. When I drove up there, the tech told me "sometimes we don't get our voicemails". Really? To test my suspicion, I tried calling them while I was in line; it never rang as they obviously have the ringer turned off. Despite them having the best price for my script (via GoodRX), I will pay more at Walmart just so I can get it without the hassle. The new store is really nice, but their pharmacy still sucks. Despite moving to the new store, the pharmacy still sucks.

Booze!

Yay!! The Salvation Army suggests you spend between 25-125 dollars per Angel. If going inside Walmart is not possible for you, no worries you can still give by visiting "The Salvation Army's Walmart Angel Tree" page and enter your zip code to find a registry near you. From there you can shop for the items online and have them delivered by Walmart Spark Good Registry to a local Salvation Army. Keep in mind not all Walmarts have actual Angel Trees inside. To locate a Walmart with an actual Angel Tree, visit the Salvation Army website. Remember the Angel Tree program does have a deadline and it varies by location. See ya there!!

Payless and Fresh Thyme are the much better options not only for easy shopping but supporting local growers who provide much better quality produce. Walmart continues to hold back decent pay to its staff, add to the insane food waste generated by ignoring proper expiring food discounts and discolored fruits and veg, until that changes I got to tell everyone avoid and shop anywhere else where there's some access like at Kroger to help reduce waste and make good use of good farmer products.

Kroger could never. You can find things at Saraga that you can't find anywhere else in Indy, and…read morefor that, I love this international grocery store. That said, this is not my favorite Saraga. (My favorite Saraga is the one in Castleton.) This Saraga is a little grody, to be honest. But how can you hate on a grocery store that exists in Indianapolis with such an abundance of food from all around the world? Overall, I am so glad this place is here. I visited Saraga not knowing what I was looking for, but was quickly drawn to the Japanese snacks aisle. I saw lots of different flavors of Ramune (that Japanese marble soda), which is my children's favorite, and Pocky, my favorite. Then I went to the seafood aisle and looked at the fish swimming in the aquarium below their unlucky brethren who had been filleted and arranged in the display case. Then I walked to the Mexican food aisle and saw many kinds of Mexican candy. The frozen food aisle had lots of different things, from Indian samosas to Korean vegetable pancakes. The meat aisle is hardcore. But, that's to be expected at an international grocery store. Be prepared to see pig snouts and chicken feet packaged next to less offensive, ambiguous red hunks of meat. This is the place to get bulk rice and beans, imported snacks and produce that you can't find anywhere else, like yuca root and plantains. I love Saraga in general, and this one is good and important to this part of Indy.

I was having a really tough day and still needed to get my grocery shopping done so I chose the one grocery store I know that always makes me feel better: TJ's...Mr. Joseph's..Good ole' Trader Joe's. Was I planning on getting lava cakes upon entering the store? No. Whoops...add to cart. Did I need that bouquet of flowers that greeted me with a delightful smell right after walking through the doors? No. Add to cart. When I got to the checkout almost tripling my budget for groceries (don't go shopping while sad) the cashier had the normal friendliness you expect from anyone working at Trader Joe's. When she asked how my day was going my body took this exact moment to let all of the tears roll out of my eyes. Embarrassed? Yes BUT it's like the employees were trained for these situations. The kind cashier smiled and shared how she too had a rough day the day before. She then added an extra bouquet to my basket and no matter how bad my day was, it's the small kindnesses from employees here that truly make a big difference in someone's day to day experience. I walked away feeling lighter...and with tasty chocolates to snack on and all of my groceries for the week and I was actually smiling on what felt like quite possibly one of the worst days of this year. So I hope you enjoyed reading this novel. All this to say, I will always love this store. Thank you Trader Joe's! You and your employees are a true gift.
