The fresh flowers are fragrant when you enter the store. They make these mini ice cream cones that are covered in chocolate and taste divine. They are small and the perfect size for me. I like the coffee flavored ones, but they have other flavors more suitable for kids. Today, I also picked up a highly rated Cabernet Sauvignon for cheap. I also like their pizza dough and frozen Asian meals for a quick dinner. This store has a bit wider aisles because the store is always busy. They have plenty of people stocking shelves and checking out. The staff is always friendly. I have to harp on the parking. The parking spaces are too close together and there's high probability someone's going to bang your door. The traffic pattern is wonky and dangerous for pedestrians.

The store is clean, orderly and efficient. I am deducting one star due to an experience we had here years ago. Am I holding a grudge? Maybe just a little. We were returning from Kentucky on a Sunday and stopped here to pick up some Yuengling to take back home. We walked around the entire store with 3 cases of beer in our cart, passing several employees, and NOT ONE PERSON told us that Indiana does not permit the sale of alcohol on Sunday. it was not until we went to checkout that the person cashiering clued us in. The main attraction is a deli that receives rave reviews in some circles so that is my primary reason for visiting and reviewing. The parking lot is large, parking is no issue as the adjoining business (West Wing Pizza) is sadly no longer around. The produce and meat are well chilled, the sanitation feels much better than Kroger where everything is questionable on a given day. Selection and quality of produce is scarce, and pricing isn't great. Meat is well available with competitive pricing however. Service is great, I stood in a line of 4 and a new lane was swiftly opened. The deli options are vast, lots of Midwest-ish salads, including Ham Salad which slightly terrifies me. I went with the Fried Chicken and Mac N Cheese. Mac N Cheese was mid but edible, very soft noodles if that's your thing - it's not mine. Chicken missed the mark of the subtle Reddit hype I've read, but it was not bad. The season is the reason, the taste of the actual breading is very good. It is possible that made to order would improve the quality significantly so take my review with a grain of salt.

This is unfortunately not a first class Whole Foods if you have shopped at other WF's in major…read morecities. Many times, for unknown reasons, their shelves are not restocked. I find that I have to go in repeatedly to find items that I regularly purchase. Most of the staff members are helpful if you can find one to ask a question. However, I have to call out the Manager behind the desk who has been particularly "sour" on the few occasions when I have returned items, and I have noticed this same attitude in her own interactions with staff. I think this affects them negatively as it's hard to get a smile from the checkout folks who just mechanically do their jobs (with one long time employee "Go....a" being the exception). There is no sense at all that they enjoy working at this WF. I purchase bread here and it is good, but the area is usually understaffed. Sometimes, there is a 5-6 minute wait to just find someone to slice the bread. Believe me, I'd much rather shop at WF than TJ's, but the staff members at TJ's are quantum leaps better in terms of their consistent friendly customer relations and service. Having said all this, I will say that this WF location's meat counter and produce staff members are the exception....they are very good and helpful. I actually hope that someone in WF corporate will see this review so that they can do something about the institutional issues at this location.
