The pharmacy was extremely rude and told my doctor I was verbally abusive when I was not. They were upset that I caught them in a lie. They told me my dr canceled my prescription when indeed their pharmacist did. The tech was absolutely rude. Weeks prior I was inside getting a prescription and witnessed the pharmacy staff getting yelled at by a costumer and now I understand why. Do better and good riddance. I shop here VERY often and the store is always very clean, well stocked (even during storms and the pandemic), as well as friendly staff, etc. overall I ALWAYS have great experiences when shopping here. (this is why I left 2 stars, WOULD BE 5 stars if I did not have the experience I had here today). Today, I was getting some last minute things before the snow storm came in and went through the self checkout. It was a little after mid-day so it was not crazy busy, but did have a nice flow of customers. I bought some alcoholic items as well as other food items and dog food. When I got the self check out I scanned my alcohol first, because it needed the censors to be removed and age verified, this gives the employees time to remove it as I'm scanning and bagging the rest of my items. There was only 1 person working the self-check out area so I continued to scan the rest of my items while I waited for her to come over to assist me. (I bought $200 worth of stuff so I was scanning for a while) after I scanned and bag everything I still had not been assisted. I sat patiently and then the worker walked past me to assist another customer (whose light was NOT on before mine) again, I am patient and not a stickler on "I was here first" so I just "ma'am" and kind of flagged her down on the way incase she for some reason she overlooked and did not see my help light was on. This older woman proceeded to say "I AM THE ONLY PERSON UP HERE AND YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE CHECKING OUT" in a loud, nasty tone. I looked up to other customers looking at our interaction and we exchange faces of concern and confusion as to why she was being so rude. I was mortified, and thought maybe she thought I was being rude to her. After helping the other customer she came over to help me, I said "oh I am sorry, I just needed you to remove the censors from the alcohol" in hopes to ease the mood since she seemed irritated. The older woman replied with "I KNOW, I do this every day." and rolled her eyes at me. I did not say anything and paid for my items and left, but her overall tone and attitude towards customers makes me want to look elsewhere for my needs. Like I said, I shop here all the time and have no complaints about the store itself, but I think they should re-evaluate their employees that have such big interactions with customers (ESPECIALLY THE OLDER LADY WHOM WORKS SELF CHECK OUT DURING THE DAY). read more

I love being able to shop on my computer and have my groceries delivered. I am an octogenarian and had a heart attack about a year ago. I don't drive. Having the ability to purchase my food online is helpful. I enjoy scrolling through the items offered. I've learned about so many things I wasn't aware of when walking through the store. I like the opportunity to take my time and read about the different brands and what they contain. I feel I can make wiser decisions. The shoppers are polite, helpful, and quick. I shop here all the time. I like that the pharmacy is staffed well and they are often the cheapest in GoodRx. Being able to buy clothes, health items, household goods like caulk or light bulbs or clothes hangers and groceries is very convenient. The quality of their clothes is pretty good and they have several name brands. I use the app and do shop and scan with the Mperks program to save the most. There are still some times where items are completely sold out which is really disappointing as well as inconvenient. read more

This Meijer is clean and well organized, but every single time I have gone I have twisted twenty minutes or more to check out. For some reason they don't ever have more than three or four checkout aisles open, and the lines for the self scan are ridiculously long. Why should a business this size be skimping on this? Thought we would try the new drive up pharmacy no one in line. You have to push the service bell. Then a voice said drop off or pick up,we said drop off-I'll be right there. She took the prescription and asked you going to pick this up later or wait about 20 minutes we said we will go to dinner and be back. So we came back a car was in front of us waiting. So we waited and waited and waited 20 minutes later the draw opened and they got there prescription they pulled away we pulled up the girl walked away and it started all over. Pick up or drop off pick up I'll be right there. Didn't like the drive up experience. My opinion to Meijer is ..that the car should have got out of line and waited in the parking lot for how long it would take to fill the prescription then get back in line to pick up there prescription. Then your not trapped to wait that long. Never again will I do that unless there is no one in line. read more

I would like to begin w/ the reason for the 1 star is for the employee that really tried to help and represent Meijer in Avon ( but her assist manger over ruled. so i needed to try Meijers pick up as i am a walmarter but there is a product that i purchase several times a month that cost quit a bit and it is a necessity. unfortunately this product just keeps getting more and more cheaply processed and its a walmart brand so product is not gonna get any better. i just happened to need pick up a rx @ Meijer and bought couple from Meijer give it a quick comparison. Turns out better and store closer. Like i mentioned don't do meijer so wanted to "pick Up" 1) Meijer chargers if under a certain amount for pick up..hm ok so order enough not to get charged. 2) my order ended up was over 200.00. I received a courtesy call from pick up employee explaining some were out of stock, what substitute. ok, just grab flavors you do have. employee stated easy enough, but she needed to call me back because her assist manager (of the store, not the department to make clear) informed her that if she did that, it would wipe out the store and that she needed to inform me of that & I would need to "special order" and when it arrives come pick it up. So here were my comments that were asked the employee to communicate to her manager & the result of this being my FIRST and LAST purchase lol. 1) what does it matter, a sale/purchase is a sale whether I come in & "wipe you out" or i pick it up. still a profitable sale. 2) why didn't he call me to explain & if i decided to proceed w/ the "special Order" like she advised he would be the person Id need to speak with to arrange, instead his employee had to stop, call me (embarrassed as she advised earlier not a problem) 3) tell manager on Meijers website there is NOT a limit, in fact, there is a drop down & i could have selected a larger quantity 4) Does he say to customers that come in & say "purchase all the hamburger you can take that & wipe me out. OHHH after we picked up the order, we pulled away, parked and went inside and purchased the remaining of my customer order. The cleanest and most well-maintained Meijer I've ever been to. Aisles are spacious and the store is extremely easy to shop. I'm not constantly bumping into people like I am at Walmart and Meijer is just as busy. Produce is typically better than Walmart and Target, IMO. Beer/wine selection is awesome and they have prices on libations that are just too good to pass up. Aside from Walmart, Meijer is the only other place I can get everything on my grocery list. They carry some items that are difficult to find. For example: I was searching for Stewart's root beer/soda (these were for our wedding welcome bags; my maiden name is Stewart) and Meijer had the best selection, carrying over 4 flavors. It was awesome to find these locally, within 10 minutes from where we were living at the time. We found them and got them on sale for 2/$5! Thank you Meijer Avon! We stocked up before Covid and are fortunate to have an extra spare freezer and garage storage space. Meijer had everything we needed. The Meijer meat counter custom thin slices our steaks for us (we call'em steak'ems) for enjoying on the grill, and the deli cuts thick slices for our fresh turkey super sized sandwiches. Meijer also has the most gourmet Parm cheese, and the freshest individual single packed avocado snack packs. We have found no other area grocer stocking a wider selection of frozen veggies - even Lima beans. Yes we've reordered to go, and curbside pickup meals since; but I don't think anyone can argue that Meijer makes it easy to stock up and has the deepest selection for all in one shopping at the best value. We heard Meijer was one of the very first on scene here that started the great build up on Rockville Road in support of this growing community. We are pleased to see Meijer's continued involvement at our local Hendricks YMCA, and even with the Indianapolis Colts, and with many more pillars of this great town and area. I am so grateful to have a Meijer in our back yard and for the Meijer teams continued dedication and service to our community and the entire region during this time! read more

Really like this Meijer; it's probably the best one in central Indiana, imo. I go in very early in the morning after work. The place is almost always very clean: The produce looks great, everything is nice and stocked up. GREAT customer service. I bought some house plants last winter, and the check out lady advised me about caring for them. - Very nice of her and something she didn't have to do. I usually stop by here during my lunch break because it is less crowded which means the checkout lines are easy to get through. They also have decent food options at a good price. No one's running the place. Takes a month to get hired.. training from someone getting fired so they didn't care to do it. I stayed for over 6 months working night shift completely alone. Asked my manager to get information for me to transfer to another department potentially. Got a week heads up I was transferring (and I no longer had a choice to do so) and was told I was getting a pay cut regardless how long I had been there without a raise.. asked for the store manager to contact me about it and got ignored. Asked my direct manager why she did that because I couldn't take a pay cut and have child support to pay...told me "sorry you feel no one cares." Lol.. then proceeded to tell me if I didn't like it I could quit. No one at this store or the gas station cares about literally anything because every one is under paid and just trying to let the day end so they can leave. Expect expired food, nothing to be cleaned, and no one to care about your issues. Unless they can throw a cheap gift card at you to shut you up they won't help (even their own employees). Also, Warning if you've made it through this. Don't eat or drink anything that isn't packaged. I wasn't trained to make sure products were up to temperature and safe to consume, wasn't trained to use the system to throw away expired products, or given enough time to properly clean literally anything which was never important to anyone from the start. Could barely run the register before they left me. Highly encourage sick employees to come to work anyways. Roller grill gets cleaned by spraying chemicals on it and wiping it down... leaving them there to go onto food because they refused to try to take it apart. Drop a tablet in the coffee pots to clean them and it literally does nothing. The co2 from the fountain drink machine is enough to kill you and was being left there alone overnight. Never was asked to clean it one time. Sanitizing was never on the to do list. If you want to get sick stop here! I know I was for the entire 6 months I forced myself to stay. Coupons and sales only make prices as good as Walmarts normal prices. No security cameras if anything bad happens to help you. Toilet broke and it took them an entire month to get someone to fix it... it's all completely ridiculous. read more

This is a great Meijer. The store is usually clean, even though we're typically here at busy weekend times. The aisles are wide enough, and the store is usually well-organized. They have a good selection of produce, and sale items are always clearly marked. The cashiers are generally friendly and efficient, and Connie especially is fabulous. My only complaints are that I often can't find a staff person in the store if I have question, and sale items tend to run out of stock before the sale ends. Today I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a store at the Avon Meijer today. I ordered groceries yesterday to be picked up today between 5 and 6 PM. At 6 PM my groceries were not ready so I called the store to ask when they would be ready. I got a very rude response from a gentleman working there and he told me it would be at least another hour before my groceries are ready. It was finally two hours after my groceries were supposed to be ready and I finally got a notification that my groceries could be picked up. I waited in a line to pick up my groceries for over an hour (the line did not move for over 30 minutes). Why have the online grocery system if you're not going to be able to complete orders correctly & on time? People have children to feed animals to feed. Being a few minutes late is understandable but it has been well over two hours and I'm not even close to getting my order. Ruined my whole night and wasting my time. I do not recommend ever using Meijer online shopping. read more

Too many times we look at big box stores and compair them side by side - totally unfair. Wal-mart, Target, Meijer - they are all very different. I needed a few things, ok I needed vodka, and frankly Meijer has the BEST prices on vodka. They tend to run specials on different brands allowing you to try a variety of styles and flavors. This Meijer is a bit older and showing it's age. The employees however are not so concerned about the "look" of the store but about your experience. There is still a greeter when you walk in the door, plenty of carts and baskets. I have found other box stores do not always have a basket availalbe leaving one to walk the aisles bravely holding multiple items or it's a scavenger hunt to find the basket. What I am most impressed about with Meijer is the selection in the produce section. From celery root to star fruit, you will find it in Meijer. Their wine selection is huge and reasonably priced. Their meat case is always full and the staff is very willing to help. Their sea food selections is pretty good - I like fish that has not been frozen. They do have a few items that are fresh but most of it is flash frozen then thawed. For home items I tend to like Target a bit more, quality seems better. For kitchen items, they have a ton. Checkout does not take too long at this store. There are self serve lanes that move pretty quick. Over all not a bad place to stop and do some shopping. read more

I had noticed that meijer was offering doordash pickups and so I had previously ordered a few things and it worked out great. However on Tuesday night I just needed dog food for my 2 large dogs and my children didn't make me aware till I was home from work and showered. I decided to just order it through doordash as it was quick and easy and I had until 730 to place the order. I ordered the biggest bag I could as I was 2 days from payday so the bag was $32 as I said I have 2 large dogs. The older had been accepted and paid for when all of a sudden the merchant cancels my order. I call the store and they transfer me to the cyber unit who treated me like I was stupid and continued to rudely say they are not affiliated with doordash. So I called back to the store and spoke to the service counter again and she tried to talk to the manager who insisted it was all done through doordash but he could credit my Mperks with $10.50 so I'm supposed to buy dog food for two large dogs for $10.50 because he decided to cancel my order but the fact that he would not even come to the phone he kept talking through his person at the service desk and then insisted that he did not cancel the order it would have had to have been canceled through doordash that I needed to contact doordash so I contacted doordash and the person that I spoke with their told her that the manager just contacted them and asked if they could put a rush on my refund because he had to cancel my order because they were busy so I was lied to I had to borrow money to get food for my dog because doordash to take 7 to 10 business days to get your money back after the place your purchasing from the merchant cancels your order. read more

I stopped by the Meijer on March 12th for a couple of items. I'm not from the area so I had to look a bit for what I came in after. Every single employee I came into contact with at this store was rude! Since I only had a couple of items, I went through the self-checkout and opted not to use a bag. The self-checkout attendant got really short with me and practically yelled at me telling me that I had to use a bag for the machine to work right. That's complete crap. Then, as I'm walking out of the store with my items, receipt in hand, the greeter at the front stops me, pulls me over to the side, and demands to check my receipt because my items weren't in a bag. I didn't need one! I had a small basket (with no lid) and a package of baby wipes! My receipt was in plain view! I've never been treated so horribly by a few employees. This is a great location for Meijer for the west side of Indianapolis. It is very well lit and in an area of a LOT of grocery stores and restaurants. This area is developing very quickly. The inside was a typical meijer. They don't have many of the special shopping carts that are smaller or the ones with the red chairs you can sit in while looking through your grocery list, just a lot of the normal carts. The bathroom was clean too. They had 10 for 10 and 11th item free items in their ad but only a handful to choose from. Not enough for me to want to buy 11 items. Later on same day I ended up at the Carmel Meijer and noticed that they had alot more selection of sale items. Actually the ad was 12 pages instead of 4! Didn't realize that sales were different at different Meijers, but the people here are getting jipped! Sign said 90% off all christmas stuff and they did not give it to me! They said their sign was wrong it didn't apply to everything. Everyone was nice but the cashier called 6 different people and no one could confirm or deny the pricing. read more
