The clerks welcomed me when I entered and asked if they could help me. They told me about sales in many booths. Most booths were had clearance prices with prices up to 50% off. A friendly old shaggy dog makes its way past customers. The shop is filled with soaps, candles, jewelry and primitive antiques. I searched through every nook and cranny. Each room is creatively decorated. I found a Christmas ornament that I couldn't live without. Actually, I found several, but settled on one. The shop was filled with laughter, as clerks removed ornaments from trees. This made me happy. There is a restroom filled with whimsical antiques. The shop is a little difficult to see from the road, but they had banners out to pull people in. Parking is somewhat limited, but I didn't have trouble finding a spot. Well worth a visit.

There are all kinds of beverages to enjoy. All kinds of hors d'oeuvres are served. It puts people in a holiday spirit. I always finds something to take home. The stall owners are very helpful. Each stall is so personalized that you can find something special hidden in corners. Discovery is fun. The prices vary. I found a lovely candlestick for $5! Just what I was looking for. Of course I've been back several times. Once I walked in the door and within a minute I saw the exact Christmas tree I was looking for. SOLD. I hope people check out this quirky shop.

Boxes and clothes baskets accepted. 2) Expect to pay more for purchases and get less for your items. 3) Need to leave vintage( although site says vintage) items out. Only want items 1-3 yrs old. 4) Do call before you take stuff in because they are now limited on storage and ask for what seasonal items they can handle. Tired of carrying stuff back. Requires a second trip. 5) Alternative to selling items is to take them is using Good Will. They provide with a receipt to put a value on your donation to be used as tax deduction. If in good condition I put 30-50 percent of original price. Plus they educate and provide jobs to handicap people who otherwise could not work. It's probably been 8 months or so since I was in last. I went in looking for a good pair of used blue jeans. Wow, I was shocked by the prices. One pair I found was $35 for a pair of used blue jeans. I think I found one pair for under $20. I am sorry, but I am not ok spending that much on used blue jeans. So I passed. I did look in active wear, the prices were a bit better, but not by much. I get that the store is trying to make money. For me, if I am going to pay that much. I will just spring for the new version. $20-$35 dollars for used blue jeans is ridiculous. Like I said, I wanted to support local. At this point I am looking at other options. Online, picking through goodwill, or waiting a bit and saving for brand new. As far as service goes. I can not speak on that. I didn't interact with anyone.

If your home is decorated in one of these styles, stop in. I enjoy browsing Outta the Shed in Plainfied because the staff is so friendly, and the items are clean, quality pieces, and booths are restocked often. The shop smells amazing from the moment you walk in. All types of candles and melts are to the left as you enter and throughout the shop. This trip, I was looking for a few new pieces to refresh my home after removing my Christmas decoration and taking back to storage. My home always feels bare and not as cozy after removing the Christmas decor. My main reason for running around in this bitter cold is to add more greenery, maybe some new artwork (looking for botanicals), and maybe some new throw pillows for additional accent colors. The prices are reasonable, so I can afford to replace smaller accent items when I tire of them. I only picked up two new candles and 3 packages of candle melts today, but I took pictures of several items I could use. The items change often, so I need to pop back in soon after they restock with new items. Affordable, unique pieces, collectibles, antiques, linens, cookware, purses, hats, with a dedicated area for current and vintage jewelry and clothing with numerous jeans, and a variety of boots and shoes. If your home is decorated in one of the above-mentioned styles, stop in the shop.

Some prices are good, but some in my opinion are overpriced. I was able to find a cross engulfed with a heart that was a unique piece. I will be placing it in my flower garden. There is also a garden area outdoors that is hit or miss with the prices. If you find a large piece then let an associate know so that they can help with loading. I saw flooring such as tiles, rugs and I saw framed artwork which was difficult to browse through. There are dressers that would be great for a diy project. I also saw some wires, tools and lighting options. At the front are various couches and chairs as well as bed frames. I'll be returning to check the clearance again.

We've all heard of Habitat for Humanity and the amazing homes they build for the underprivileged. The sale of these items goes toward building even more Habitat homes and donations are the way they stock the shelves. I was surprised to see the large selection available and shocked at how affordable the prices are. Most of the furniture is located just as you enter and toward the front of the store. Sofas, love seats, coffee/end tables, entertainment centers and most things desired to furnish a living room, family or game room can be found here. Formal to dine-in kitchen tables, kitchen islands and china cabinets are available in several styles and finishes. Some of the wood furniture had a blemish or two but most was just normal wear. A few pieces would make great projects. Laminate flooring, lighting, shower stalls and tubs, patio doors and bathroom vanities are a few of the other items I found. The merchandise changes from day-to-day so pop in often if you looking for something specific. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Saturday 10 am to 6 pm or schedule pickup for large items or bulk donations.

They have some nice stuff here, including a lot more furniture than I expected. They have more room upstairs for browsing too. But the barn seems small compared to the antique mall next door, so unless there is something here that screams "Buy me!", it's kind of hard to rate it higher. Be aware that this is an old barn and has a raised center aisle to walk on. That means low head clearance for air ducts, so watch out. Also, if you are rubber-necking and not looking down, the step down into the rooms/booths on the first floor is large (maybe a 10" drop!) and it would be easy to stumble if you aren't paying attention. Fortunately, the owner did mark the steps in yellow and write "Step" on the ground, but who looks down when you are surrounded by stuff at eye level? I guess I should have. On the positive side, there were some beautiful furniture pieces and a really cool store counter that had shelves that extend all the way through the counter, having a display window on the outside of the piece. This allowed you to see what was in the drawer as a purchaser. Not sure what you would do with this at home, but it was an ingenious piece of Americana. Review #1959
