I used to buy my clothes almost exclusively from Kohl's several years ago but their stocked shirt selections stopped appealing to me. Only after the pandemic lockdown have I found that their inventory has changed somewhat regarding shirts. I did manage to find two shirts I like last month which were the Apt. 9 brand, one of the same brands I used to buy all the time. They have also added a new brand of jeans called Buffalo. I bought two pair of Buffalo, Slim, Ash, black jeans with the stretch waist band last month. I liked them so well I returned this week and picked up another pair of regular looking blue jeans in the same Buffalo, Slim, Ash, Stretch style. I perused the shirts once again but was unable to find anything I like. Either everything is flannel or too heavy of material or the shirts have a buttoned down collar. I don't know why sport shirts have a buttoned down collar. I'm not wearing a tie with them. I do buy some jewelry at Kohl's when I shop for birthday or Christmas presents. I have seven granddaughters and I'm always looking for deals. I have found a few deals from Kohl's in the past so I keep an eye out. read more

Kohl's is my favorite clothing place.There is. great variety! Love the quality unlike Target and Walmart that sometimes have undectEd defects in sewing. Finding my size is a little difficult due to sizes mixed together. This Kohl's is larger than the Speedway store and stocked with more products. When I came in, even though it was a bitter cold Sunday, the store was packed with shoppers. Some of the side isles can become quite congested and traffic jams occur so be patient. I was on a mission and knew the three things I needed to price and purchase. I went straight to the small appliance department since my main goal was to purchase a Kitchen Aid food processor. I just happened to luck out as they were on sale. Not a lot but twenty bucks is twenty bucks plus I was using a Christmas gift card so I wasn't using my own cash. After comparing the different brands I grabbed the Kitchen Aid which is what I had before it died from old, old age. I certainly got my money's worth from that food processor. It served me well and I love my Kitchen Aid stand mixer as well. My next two stops weren't as productive and I saw the prices were lower at another business. At least I had that information now stored away and could now make that purchase elsewhere. I shop often at Kohl's and find many great sale items and lots of clearance bargains. I am glad I have a Kohl's close to home but Plainfield isn't far. The customer service has always been good even if I sometimes have to find a sales clerk. They usually are stocking somewhere close by. Returns, with receipts, are very simple, and I haven't had much difficulty when I don't have the receipt...in store credit at lowest sale price given. The store was being hit hard by the shoppers today and not many were replacing items neatly back on shelves or racks. I can see why they have folks who just refold and return items throughout the store. I'm a fan of Kohl's and will continue shopping here for as long as the stock is good quality and the prices are reasonable. read more

This is my favorite Kohl's location. The store is clean and organized. Returns are easy and the staff are friendly and helpful. With their coupons I always feel like I'm getting a deal and love their reward program. I even get an email after I shop thanking me for coming. Kohl's cash can be used on everything even sale items and specific brands like Nike and Levi's. They know how to keep me coming back time and time again. A 30% off coupon came in the mail, reason for my visit today. Then I earns Kohl's cash good for a future visit. read more

I've never had a problem at this Kohl's location. In fact, I have always found their staff to be helpful, the selection to be vast, and the store to be in nice, orderly condition. I love that they carry many name brand items here such as Instant Pot (they sold out for the holiday though...as did everyone else), Nike, and Kitchenaid. You can often find sales and in addition to that they often offer Kohl's Cash for even more savings. This place is also usually quite busy. They do a good job of managing the long lines. This store is GIANT. I have never been inside a Kohl's so big before. I went to pick up something and went in the wrong door so I had to search for the pickup counter. It all isn't located together, which was odd. Only one person working the counter and with amazon returns, it can take awhile to get help. Really like the size of the store, if I had more time I would've done some shopping. read more

The manager "Kevin" hung up on me! Wow this Kevin has a Manager position and cannot do the basics of speaking to a customer. I was not rude, I didn't insult or disrespect him in any way. But I will speak up when something is absolutely wrong. The reason I'm writing a review is, I lost $22 and I don't want the same happening to you. I went to Kohl's to drop off an Amazon return. The kid who assisted me did not scanned both products and the receipt you are given does not show the return items. Called next day 12:14pm and female voice. (Sounded as if she was going through meth withdrawals lol). She was rude didn't know what to do and transferred me to Kevin the manager. Kevin decided to hang up on me. All I said "I'm calling for small issue but, The person answering the phone was rude. Kevin the manager ignored me and said "look I'm the manager can I help you?! I said I just told you. Then hung up the phone! So my advice Do not use and if there services or shop at Kohls on Plainfield. Is not worth the stress. read more

This place is a disaster I have been to several Kohls in the Indianapolis area (this one is technically in Plainfield) and this is by long and far the dirtiest. I was surprised at how absolutely disorganized the store was. I entered the parking lot from Main St and parked in the first parking lot on the side. It was nice because there was plenty of parking space but there was trash everywhere! It's not like I came on a day right after a tornado so there was really no excuse for the amount of trash in the parking lot and near the doors. I entered the store with one goal in mind-to find running shoes. The shoe department is right near the entrance which was awesome but the department wasn't. The shoes were in disarray and it's not the kind of mess that happens in a day or really even in two days. There were boxes up on the display shelf, the shoes were not in size order, display shoes weren't above the correct shoes and I couldn't even find the price for many of the shoes. I only stopped in the shoe department but I can't imagine what the rest of the store looks like. This store does not represent Kohl's in a favorable way. read more

I was in this store several months ago and have been meaning to say how pleasant Theresa was. She handled multiple frustrated shoppers with a great deal of kindness and patience; even as some shoppers were very impatient and rude to her. She was terrific and I was so impressed. Took my elderly father there to buy my mom some earrings for Christmas. He picked out a modest pair.. but we asked the lady at the counter for a box for them.. even though they did not come with one. I mentioned to her that I I had no problem paying her extra for it and getting it ready for my father to hand his wife for Christmas. (he's not really able to take care of such details at this point) obviously this employee was overworked and under appreciated or brought some issues from home to work because she was very short, really unwilling to even do anything more than grab the only box she had which was a watch box and smash the earrings into a box that was much too small for the package it was in. I quickly stopped her and said you're going to bend them and if that's how you're going to deal with it just give them back to me. It bothered me enough to ask for a manager. In short order to smartly dressed high energy girls walked over and asked me about my issue. They couldn't have been more helpful if they were paid $1 million. They absolutely went the extra mile to make it right. Obviously there are going to be issues along the way in any business but the way the staff handles those problems really tells the story and I walked out of Kohl's happy and satisfied. I don't feel I asked for anything out of the way special but by the time it was over with I absolutely felt that they gave us the attention that anyone would appreciate. A good, bad, and indifferent visit all at once. Wife came across a great deal on an item. She like it and purchased it and at register discovered it was 80% off. Good. Lines at checkout were super long since on side we were only one register was open. They paged for more cashiers and no one arrived. Bad. They have free WiFi which I really appreciate, but when I tried to go to another stores web site it was blocked. So does Kohl's block competitors sites while in their stores???? Kohl's has the most awesome return policy and happy staff. They also have great deals if you know how work a sale! Over a year ago I purchased a carpet cleaner at this store. That cleaner has received a weekly workout on our carpets due to pets and kids. Just this weekend I went to use it only to find the hose had finally given way. I found my receipt, called Kohl's and they said "absolutely return it!, we have no limit to our return time". I took it back to the store, no questions asked, and another one was purchased after I received a credit to my card! Unbelievable!! As an example, my steam mop also broke which I purchased at Lowes with a 2 year warranty plan. However they were not as nice and I had to go thru 2 managers to get my money refunded! Online Order pickup is the worse of any Kohls. It is very bothersome to pick up any items even if you wait a day to pick up after "ready for pick-up" notification has been received. "Aly" would prefer to knock you over as she shoves a box at you. So be careful when picking up Online Orders. I will not purchase from the Plainfield store in person or online again. read more

Horrible customer service!!!! One African American cashier (started with an F) was unbelievably rude. I don't make bad or mean post about people and I understand everyone has their bad days. But this is not the first time I have had such a horrible experience at this Kohl's. Had items, went to cashier, she rang up pants, asked if we were using our charge card, I said yes we can and that I had a coupon. She looked at me, looked down and said "it's expired "!!! Not in a nice manner either. I didn't realize that it had expired by 1 day! So she asked for my card and I said well since I can't use the coupon then I won't use my charge... her response "I SAID YOUR REWARDS CARD". My overly super nice Fiancé even looked at me like what!!! We told her never mind and that we were leaving. Ridiculous!!! I am in the customer service industry and I would never talk to someone like that. We won't be going back there! read more
