It's been probably 10 years since I last visited this store until a few days ago - talk about nostalgia. This review is for how impressed I was with the customer service. There was only one girl working, and as soon as my mom and I walked in, she greeted us warmly. She let us know about everything happening in the store, including a BOGO sale. My mom was interested in a skirt, and the clerk explained how she would style it (which my mom loved), even coming out from behind the counter to demonstrate. The level of hospitality she showed us was amazing - something that's hard to find these days, and we really appreciated it. read more

Everyone that works here is super friendly and it's always been a good vibe. There are lots of cute clothes and I like how they're organized by color so you can head to the exact color you're looking for. I've always felt like a lot of the clothes seemed super miniature and therefore have only bought probably one thing throughout the years, but have always appreciated their jewelry. This shop is located on the main strip of Broad Ripple and it's one of the few shops along the strip that isn't food-related. It's nice to have a few shops to browse in while with friends or exploring this area, so I hope it stays for a long time! read more

Cute little store. I came in just to window shop along with a few friends. Everything seems so trendy and decently priced. The girls working there were very friendly and talkative. Friendly staff, affordable pricing, trendy pieces. It's very convenient to pop in here for some shopping on the Broad Ripple strip. They are dog friendly and they typically have all items color organized so it's easy to find what you're looking for. Definitely targeted for a younger crowd as a lot of items are cropped, super short, or show a bit of cleavage. I've been able to find a few versatile pieces but most of the time, I find myself leaving empty handed because the denim shorts were too short or a dress had too plunging of a neckline. They have some fun accessories and jewelry. There's always a sale section that is marked down very low. They have a loyalty program on their POS so be sure to sign up if you like their clothes. read more

Pitaya is a cute boutique-y shoppe where you can always find something nice and fashion forward to wear. I like to come here for trendy accessories, they always have something I like, but I don't have to break the bank to get it. Today I stopped by this cute store with my daughter to get her graduation outfit because she had been raving about it. We had just got done bike riding so we were looking pretty rough and I'm not sure if that's the reason we got the kind of service we did. My daughter asked the young lady with orange hair the price on some rings they have on the counter and she seemed bothered by her question and replied it's the price that on the ring (my daughter thought it was the ring size) with an attitude. Then she tried on a dress and my daughter said excuse me please to the same girl (orange hair) that was blocking the mirror and she replied with an attitude I'm helping other people. We ended up buying the dress and shoes only because I know my daughter was excited about it but I honestly was so upset on how we got treated. we were the only latinas in the store and I don't want to think that's why we were treated differently than the other customers there. If you're having a bad day stay home and don't interact with people that are out having a pleasant day, your customer service was horrible for such a pretty store. read more

Pitaya is one of my favorite places to shop with my friends on the weekends. We always go into the store needing a specific item, and leave with a lot more than we intended! Their prices are reasonable and their clothing is perfect for college-aged girls. Sorority formal dresses, 21st birthday outfits, and even casual sweaters and tops are exactly what you can find here. In addition, I have never had a bad experience with customer service. The workers are always around to grab what you have in your hand and put it in your dressing room for you. This is such a necessity, for I always have so much to try on! They also have a really neat system where if you return something for store credit, you don't receive a gift card, it is automatically saved in their computer system! I love shopping at Pitaya. Every single time I arrive I'm instantly greeted and asked if I'm looking for something in particular. A few times I have actually accepted their help in finding something for a specific occasion since they know the selection better than I do. As soon as you get more than 2 items of clothing in your hands they are immediately there to ask you if you would like to start a dressing room or add it to your current pile. Some people may find that annoying but I find it extremely helpful so I don't have to carry around a stack of clothes. A lot of people like to shop with their friends to help get opinions on what to buy or not buy. I actually prefer to shop alone but I do like getting some opinions too so I can always trust the staff to be super helpful and give some good advice on the outfit choices or help me pick out some other items to go with a top. Yes, they are a little pricey. But you expect that with any boutique. If you aren't willing to pay more for quality go to Forever 21. I prefer to pay for quality. I love the brands they carry. This is definitely one of my first stops when I'm looking for a new outfit or I just wanna pick up a few new pieces. I highly recommend this store! read more

I like the store, very cute and organized pretty well. There clothes and cute and trendy; they have shorts, skirts that are both long and short, all types of shorts and blouses, purses, belts, accessories such as earrings, rings, belts,shoes, scarves. they jeans and t-shirts that are very trendy as well as jackets and winter coats.....not the best quality but the prices are good. I have washed some of the things and they are basicly ruined. They will exchange but only for credit unless you buy online. the online store comes right out of the Indy store. They sized are typically XS-XL,some vary so you will have to try a few different sizes. I am very busty so I always have to try different sizes! They dont let you take purses in the dressing room which is a little bothersome. For the prices it is good and a fun place to shop! read more

I can't get enough of this boutique! The amount of tops and dresses I own from here is insane. With all of their trendy and affordable clothes, I have become a loyal customer here. The sizes range from XS-XL, but I usually vary on what size I am depending on the clothing piece. Like I just mentioned, this boutique is VERY affordable. I have bought so many dresses for my sorority's formals, and they have never been over $50. Every time I have shopped here, the workers are so friendly and helpful, as well! I have always felt comfortable asking them questions and getting their advice. Just wonderful customer service overall! My favorite part: They color coordinate their clothes for the most part. In the front left, most of the clothing pieces are white/cream. On the right, it is all black. Then it floods into other clothes as you get further into the store. I LOVE this because sometimes I am looking for a specific color in a dress or top. I will definitely continue to shop here for as long as I'm in Indy :) read more

When I was in high school, this is where the cools kids (and me - despite lacking the former criteria 3 out of 5 school days) shopped. It was the land of those super wide leg jeans that were strips of denim composing a bell bottom. Pitaya has clearly morphed beyond that throughout the years - a good thing for my legs (oh could I have made them look any shorter than in those jeans?). I popped in recently - the only Bripple boutique I managed to hit up - before heading to Rene's Bakery. Customer service was good - coming from a former retail girl that means most would consider it excellent. Selection was well curated. Displays and merchandising could use some inspiration... It won't be a go-to boutique of mine, but I think a lot of women would like it. In summary: nice people, has changed with the times (and trends), nice selection, well lit, great location, but not the creme de la creme of boutiques. It's nice to see a boutique-type clothing store where your average 20-something can actually afford to shop. Nice selection of the season's latest trendy items (dresses, skirts), basics such as jeans and Ts and accessories like earrings, clutches, nail polish, belts, and little shoes. The sizes run XS through L or XL usually, depending upon what you're looking for. If you're hard to fit (super curvy, very tall) you might not find any clothing which fits properly but there are other boutiques in the neighborhood too. So when I graduated high school early, I took classes at the downtown campus of Ivy Tech just to keep myself from sleeping through the winter and spring. But it always felt like an awful big waste to drive all the way up there just for a few hours, so I sometimes ended up wandering around Broad Ripple, which is when I found Pitaya. I am beyond pleased with it. I didn't realize it was a chain at first. The community within the store was super tight-knit - the employees knew just about everyone who walked in, they were friendly and kind, and they even help some people coordinate entire outfits as a sort of personal fashion consultant. The clothes are exactly what I always look for, kind if like a more unique and trendy version of Forever 21. It's sorted by color and is always super appealing. Sometimes the clothes can be on the cheaply made side, but most clothes hold up pretty well. The prices are really affordable for boutique clothing, too, especially when compared to other stores on the block. The "no purse" in the changing room rule seems to have lightened up a little. I've been in there multiple times and only once have I been asked to hand it over. Besides that, there doesn't seem to be any limit on the outfits you can bring into the room with you, which is always a bonus when there's so many options. The accessory/shoe department is a little lacking, but the finds you can make in what's available are always worth it. Make sure to check out the mark down bins and racks! Cute clothes that are always well-organized by color....which is great when you're looking for something specific. Usually good sale racks and I've found some fantastic deals. Usually I don't review clothing stores because you know whether you like an item before you buy it. However, at Pitaya, I was unable to buy the item that I actually wanted due to a rude staff member. I simply came in here to find a black dress for a bachelorette party, thinking they might have something appropriate at a wear-once price. I was a little surprised at the prices in the store - they've raised about 50% since the last time I was in there. $38 dollars for a wrinkly club dress which has stitching already pulling at the seams is a little ridiculous. Too much to wear once, too poorly made to expect to wear more than once. Anyhow, I found a pair of black shorts that I liked on the sale rack for $18 and figured I would pair them with a black top. (The girl who got me a fitting room was very friendly and helpful, hence 2 stars.) So I wandered over to the register with them and stood there. I stood there for at least a minute at an empty register, with one employee acknowledging me but not coming over to check me out. Then another employee came over, on the phone, and started working at the register on something. I got no acknowledgement. Not a, "hold on a minute" or a smile. In fact, she couldn't even be bothered to look my way as I'm standing there with an item of clothing that I clearly intend on purchasing. After about 5 minutes of being ignored I just set the item down and walked out. I spent more time standing at the counter trying to buy a pair of shorts than I did in the dressing room trying on clothes. Will never go back. read more

Pitaya reminds me of my summers home from college. I really like this store, mainly b/c I love that it carries extra long baby tees all year round. There shirts fit me so well that even though I live in LA, I'm still ordering clothes from Pitaya b/c they fit me so well. I will say that they have mixed up some of my online orders and having to pay out of pocket to ship things back that they messed up is annoying. However, I love the prices and it's also a great place to get trendy clothes esp. for one-time occasions. read more

Pitaya is a nice boutique. They have great jeans. Their selection of other clothes can be hit or miss with me, but they make up for it with the accessories. Also, they are not very expensive, I bought a whole outfit from here last weekend for under $40, which is almost unheard of these days. I think the "no purses in the fitting room" rule is a little ridiculous, especially when you're carrying a small handbag. I just stopped by today and I have to say the Customer Service was amazing. Everyone was so sweet to me even though I just left the gym, threw on some clothes and went inside lol gross I know. I brought 5 items today and I'm obsessed. I plan on only shopping here for clothes from now on. Also ladies stop tripping about the purse thing because believe it or not you can fit a crop top in tiny bags. Some of the crop tops are so small and well made they can be folded a million times. Anyway I signed up today and I'm so happy to find a store that's not only 10 min away from my house but also has everything I would wear. Why on Earth would the teenagers working here think I would want to leave my small purse with them while I try on a dress? I find that super annoying. I am 30 years old, I don't have the time or energy to think about how to jam two dresses into my tiny purse that barely holds my wallet. If you see me go in with two items then wouldn't you see me come out with two? Nonetheless, I wanted that green sequin dress to fit really badly so I could hang it in my closet and probably never wear it anyway... A cute store but the prices were a little high for the quality unless you find a deal on the sale racks. I probably won't go here again unless I take a friend who can babysit my purse while I try something on. And no, the dress did not fit! read more

This place is SWEET! Affordable clothing and super trendy. Turnover of clothes is fast- you can go in one week and have totally different stuff the next. Only complaint is sizing can be limited since only a few sizes are ordered of each. If you want something, buy it then, because it will be gone the next day! Accessores are adorable and affordable. I like this boutique. It has really cute clothes that are inexpensive. It caters to younger women and girls but all ages ( if they stay in shape) can wear the clothing. It is in Broad Ripple in a great location. Overall, this one I recommend, the only thing I absolutely hate that they do is, they make you turn over your purse to them upon entering to shop and try on clothes. At least they used to a year or so ago when I last shopped there. This made me feel like I was being watched like a criminal about to sneak off with their stuff! I KNOW Broad Ripple has tons of thefts in the boutiques, but it gives a message to the customer... the "we don't trust you" message. I think the owner should re-think this policy. Believe me, I am a huge shopper and I have shopped at so many beautiful boutiques, here , Laguna Beach and LA, Chicago, New York, etc. and this is one TOUGH way of handling a theft issue. Every time i go visit my family up in Indy i ALWAYS will stop in to pitaya! I absolutely LOVE this store and REALLY wished they had one in florida! It's moderately priced (which is rare to find) and they have the cutest clothes, shoes, purses, and accessories. The staff is always friendly and welcoming!
