Great store, excellent selection for a mid size store, you can pretty much find anything. You might have to search for some items but they're almost certainly there. Example: roasted peanuts are in the isles by the check out lanes, as well as dried beans. They have some great house brands, keep an eye out for the spice rack of bagged spices. Produce is fresh and generally very good quality. Meat department isn't huge, but they're most likely going to have what you need, and some great specials. I hate self checkouts. People need jobs not computers. They actually had 2 cashiers going. One on reg 1 and one on reg 2. Reg 1 didn't have her light on so I went to reg 2. A manager came up and flipped on the light for reg 1. So I crossed over since the guy in front of me had a lot. The absolute attitude of the girl at lane 1 was palpable. She saw me rolled her eyes and dropped her head like doing her job was just so much work. I had 5 things in my cart. She was ringing up a guy with a lot of produce and she had to weigh and put in codes for it all. I stood there about 30 seconds and crossed back to James on reg 2. This was about 430 Feb 4th. I work retail. I ring up customers all day. I get it when things get frustrating but I'd never ever show the amount of disdain she did for her job. This locations has a clean store, very friendly employees, and an easy flow of "traffic" that makes sense and puts a nice spin on grocery shopping. Prior to moving nearby, I often ordered groceries to avoid the visit to the store, but I actually enjoy going in. Prices seem competitive and reasonable compared to other stores nearby, and they always have everything I need plus new goodies to try. read more

They charge a $4.95 service fee for an app that's useless. It occasionally gives an option to let the store know you're on your way, but often it does not give that option. But it really doesn't matter because when the app works, they NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER have your order ready. I have shopped at Fresh Thyme a little in the last few years but only really for certain things, specials, my holiday roast etc. But never the weekly grocery shop. First time was today, on a Saturday. The Broad Ripple location was busy but not even close to what you get a Kroger or Mejier. The selection was good, prices were reasonable. Lines at checkout were short. The only drawback is there don't have a huge selection of some things and some name brands we use a lot are not carried. I had high hopes for this location but they fell so very short. I stopped in to pick up a few things on a Sunday afternoon. Perhaps they have so much business how they treat the customer doesnt matter. Just about every associate working seemed to doing everything in their power to avoid interacting with customers. The meat counter was all but shut down, produce was sparsely stocked. The worst was the deli counter. Staffed by a guy that looked like he may have been a line-backer several years ago. I requested some sliced lunch meat and initially refused to slice it for me. I had to ask several more times and insist nothing was left in the case. My mistake - after specifying thinly sliced for sandwiches - he proceeded to slice almost a quarter inch thick and said that was thinly sliced. I will not return to this location. Kroger and Meijer treat their customers better - and that is saying a lot. so very disappointing. read more

I like the layout & product display; however when I ordered a "FRESH TURKEY" as advertised & picked up on day prior to Thanksgiving, i discovered the turkey FROZEN; it did NOT thaw & i could not stuff it or have prepared for Thanksgiving! all of the 'Fresh" turkeys are frozen flash frozen but was FROZEN & when I spoke up, i was profiled this year, the butcher, with whom I placed an order to pick up & I apreciated & value his knowledge & rapport, suggested a partial rack of 7 bony looking lamb ribs which could barely be cut! so very tough prior to searing & the fat to hard it was inedible; i tried to cook it in water but not dissolve... disheartened, I brought it back & was told I could not; I was told on phone by mgr Patty I could return but when she saw me (it's a decade of her seeing me) she profiled me publically & stated I cant return; if she'd "known it was me calling...she said to return & I have her permission & i wanted to be certain she knew prior to my driving a long distance & making return" I was heard & to let store know not a good brand to carry; i was scolded & dismissed from the store with threats & false accusation I'd eaten it! no! those are the ribs of lamb the rack what they sold to me in vaccuum sealed pkg of ribs w/hardly any meat...i thought some might show up when I opened pkg but it was 90% fat & bone... i am sorry people so unreasonable & not back up their brands or customer it's sad at holiday & especially as i like the people & what is sold...but mgrs extremely hateful towards me for being truthful read more

I asked if there was more in the back as I wanted to purchase as many as 20 loaves of French baguette but he was quick to say "I don't know" wasn't even apologetic about it or offered get me help.. so as I rolled my cart where I could see the bakery tables I noticed a pile of the same French baguettes back there. They have Frontera brand tortilla chips, in three different varieties, so I'm sold. I haven't been able to find this brand of tortilla chips since moving to Indiana, so this makes me happy. What else makes me happy about Fresh Thyme in Broad Ripple? Well, I am happy that they sell pizza slices for $1.50. I am also happy that they offer free cups of water in their dining area. They have an indoor and an outdoor dining area, so that makes me happy, too. Other happy things: They have a crap-load of tea, including Republic of Tea. They sell candy in barrels. Candy! In barrels! They have a huge selection of yogurt. They sell a lot of different magazines. They offer a parking garage with multi levels, with an elevator for your convenience. The elevator in the garage is my favorite because it's just so ... so luxurious and ridiculous and 2017 to shop at a grocery store that has an elevator. I don't ever want to not shop at a grocery store that doesn't have an elevator, is what I am saying to you. There were a lot of samples around the store. Bread and cheese and whatnot. Great market with specialty and organic items. I love their meat and produce. Large bulk goods section and a pretty good wine selection. No liquor. I love their fruits and vegetables, and they have someone working there right now who carefully stacks everything so neatly. It's kind of weird, but I like it. I love nearby, so it's easy for me to pop in and grab a few things at a time. They do seem to be pricier than your regular grocery store (i.e. Kroger), so I don't do my heavy duty shopping here. They also won't have some of your "normal" items. I went in for a 2 liter of coke, and they didn't have it. They did have Pepsi though, as well as some fancier soda like Le Croix. They also have a cafe in the back. I haven't really tried it, but items back there. So, great place for that wholesome, organic, fresh food, but you won't be able to find everything you would find at other grocery stores. read more

I went on a Sunday morning. You need to shop carefully here, as they have some pretty insanely expensive prices. Once you've done that job, you'll find some good values if you shop hard. Watch their ads. Then I got to the cashier, who needed some more training. Eventually tried to stuff a paper bag with 5doz eggs into a second back, ripping it, but believing it was ok to give to a customer. What should have been no more than fifteen minutes in and out took nearly an hour, and I had to double-bag my egg cargo myself, refusing to accept a ripped bag and the probable results. Bottom line: some good values, strange cashiers, seemingly quite disorganized, but overall needlessly pricier (unless you're a shareholder looking for great gross margins and a return on your investment). read more

Have a party the 28th Dec, stopped in a few days ago an talked to the guy at the fish counter about scallops an how much they had in stock, would they have enough to meet my needs today. Fresh produce for the most part. But just a warning, look at the prices when they are being rung up at the register. I swear every time I get over charged. This has happened several times. So for example today, the price of vine ripe tomatoes was listed as 77 cents/ lbs. I go to the register and it rings up $1.69/lbs. I went back, took a photo and showed the manager to get a refund, but I had to get back in line again and waste 10 minutes. I finally did this because it was the 4th or 5th time this has happened and I felt very frustrated getting ripped off every time I shop here. It happened prior with grapes, carrots, and cherry tomatoes. Hopefully they can make some changes. read more

Pretty consistent with stocking the sale items. I've had some trouble finding items on double sale ad thursday but that's to be expected. I will say the produce here does spoil before produce at Kroger and I'm not sure why. I do avoid the avocados here because they are the ones you wait years to get ripe and then they turn brown. The prices on the sale items are great but everything else is generally more expensive than Kroger. I've been shopping here a lot more recently and enjoy the farmers market feel. If you bring your child they get a free piece of fresh fruit! How cool! The grind your own peanut butter stations are the best thing since sliced bread. read more

We finally made it here to check out the big fresh new store in broad ripple! Located on the first floor of a multistory apartment building right on the canal. Walking in from the canal side felt more like a deli than a store. Lots of table and chairs and a deli that looked like they probably offered some tasty grub. We will check it out on the next trip. The store is a medium sized grocery store but appeared to have a nice variety. Organic produce and all things good. Reminded me of my first time in a traders joes store. read more

Love this Fresh Thyme! Everytime I go in there, I am always impressed by the staff, selection, and sales (because it is a heck of a lot more affordable than Whole Foods aka Whole Paycheck). Having fresh thyme in the broad ripple neighborhood makes eating healthy on a budge a feasible option. I appreciate how they advocate for local farmers, products, and businesses. I really like Fresh Thyme and enjoy shopping here. They have a great produce section, bulk, fresh nut butters, natural remedies, and deli for a small scale grocery store. I also enjoy the make your own pizza in the deli with a gluten free crust option. They have great weekly sales that make a special trip here worth it. If you are looking for specialty items, or gluten free options they have a much better selection than most stores. For general items their price points are a bit higher and make it more of a specialty stop for me. The one disadvantage to the Broad ripple location is the parking garage. There are few spaces on ground level and having to take a shopping cart in the elevator isn't impossible but not my favorite option. read more

I also love that there's a parking garage as parking is always scarce in Broad Ripple, especially when it's the weekend or after work and people are dining/drinking in the village. I also love coming here because of the garage covering when I need to grocery shop in bad weather! The produce is always stocked so neatly and they have great healthy alternatives. I also like that they provide great generic/store brands for everyday items. I appreciate that they provide refund for products that you don't like or doesn't taste/work right. Fresh Tyme is the place that I get all of my produce and water actually and this location is close to my home. I also get my meat from the butcher here which is really cool. I began going in the summer because their produce was so good but continued to go because I love their alkaline water so in total I have been going to fresh time for at least 3-4 years. The prices are a little higher, but definitely a you get what you pay for situation because I have never been dissatisfied with any of the products that I got here. They always have ample supplies and great customer service which is what keeps me going back. read more

This place is HUGE! Outdoor tables, Community Room, Take Out Foods, many that work close to this store is Excited about that! Floral Specials, actually Special in every Dept, during their soft opening week. Huge Bulk Foods area! Garage in the back, with opening to the store, Handicapped ramp at the front of the store right off the Bridge!!! & In the back there's a ramp from street to entrance from the Garage! We always get Sourdough bread, they have their own Bakery! Their Sourdough has only 3 ingredients, nice crust, chewy, and their slice & bag it for you! If you want loaves, they have them. Their meats are comparable to Boar's Head (which they also carry) but their meat prices are more reasonable. The Opening was a whirlwind tour & I'm going back to see what I missed! Thanks to the inventor of this store, it's one of my faves. I've been to the one on 82nd, I have been looking for some circle city kombucha and learned that fresh Thyme carries it. Naturally I had to see what I could find. I work near broadripple now and had never been to that location so no time like today! It's located what what I consider the far end of broadripple ave and Kessler blvd. lots of parking options, I even could park on the street. The set up is awesome really with any store, it's spread out but with intention, food section by food section you know the drill. But! What's fun about this location is that they have a place that you can sit and enjoy food. Very Whole Foods but I love the idea, I'd come back and sit for a bit. They have circle city on draft! I was too nervous to fill a growler myself with my luck I'd make a huge mess. This place is awesome and I'll be back again, such an awesome variety of food and drinks. I love the produce selection here! They are sometimes out of certain produce but I'm always impressed by the freshness and quality. Depending on what you are buying the produce can be just as cheap as the grocery store. I love their fish selection too, they have a wide variety of fish, shrimp, and lobster. They also have great fresh baked bread at reasonable prices. They have a bulk foods section, I don't shop in this area much. Some of the canned and boxed goods are a little pricier than other grocery stores but they have a lot of options. I also love their dip selection including their hummus! We received an order number and confirmation; however, when my MIL went to pick it up and one of the workers was incredibly rude and accused her of being at the wrong store, and that they didn't have our order. Every single time I go in to fresh thyme, I'm afraid I'm going to be paying whole foods prices, but that's just not the case!! The bulk section is solid. You'll definitely find your basics plus specialty items. But the produce section is where it's at! I go out of my way for their produce and never have I been disappointed! Their salad bar is also awesome so hop in for lunch sometime. And don't forget the $5 sushi special on Thursdays!! Everyone working there has been so helpful and kind! Everyone. After getting my car freshly oiled I decided to stop in at the local (and personal favorite) Fresh Thyme because we needed toilet paper. I also had to pee so everyone wins. The restroom was beyond normal expectation and the toilet paper was found exactly where I thought I would find it. I wish I would have got a cold drink. My favorite grocery store!! The produce is always fresh and they have a great selection! The store is bright, airy and welcoming. I will go out of my way to come to Fresh Thyme for my everyday groceries. And they have barrels and barrels of candy and other great items like rice, flour and grains. It makes it easy to eat healthy! The app is great in helping me make my grocery list and their prices can't be beat. This location is especially convenient as it is in a popular area and has a parking garage attached. Makes it easy to shop when it's raining or snowing. The management has always been helpful if we have a question, issue or return. They certainly live by the customer being right. Best grocery store in the area! read more

Easy parking. Love swinging in for a fresh juice sample, reasonably priced veggies & fruits, meats, dairy, frozen foods (Evol breakfast burritos!) pretty much weekly after the gym. Great soup selection, salad bar & olive/ pepper bar ~ always clean & fresh looking. Not as impressed with hot bar but to be fair haven't eaten anything from this selection. Love the self serve bulk bins because you can get a little or a lot for a good price. The bf loves the fresh ground nut butter selection! This is my favorite location for a few reasons. -It's the closest to downtown. Still no FT downtown, but I can deal with it being a couple miles away. -Everything here is always in stock and fresh. Very rarely do I run into something I can't purchase - it's only ever the sale chicken. -This particular location has some added features like a fresh chip station, bigger deli, and I believe some sort of coffee/drink station. The salad bar is huge and very stocked. There is a unique self serve hot foods section that has delicious looking ethnic cuisine sometimes. -Everyone here has been super friendly. Only once has it been packed and I had to wait in line. It was also on a Thursday which is their busiest day due to double ad day! Parking is nice considering the area, but sometimes it gets a little congested. Not necessarily a bad thing - it proves it a great establishment. This is the happiest I have been, going grocery shopping in a while! I was so excited to visit this new Fresh Thyme - I usually attend the one on 86th St. so this was SO much closer!!! One thing that was a little hard to navigate was the set up... it was completely opposite of the Fresh Thyme up north... so that completely threw me off a bit! Also, it just felt like there was not a natural flow of where things were - but I totally believe I will get used to the set up!!! Things I loved: 1. Parking garage - anyone who knows us, knows it's so difficult to park in Broadripple, so the parking garage was a nice touch 2. Potato chip station - one thing I loved was that there is a potato chip making station where someone makes fresh Fresh Thyme potato chips... I got the salt and vinegar - for wowzers! So good! 3. Smoothie station - at the rear of the store there is a coffee/smoothie shop - brilliant!!! I got a great smoothie but made the mistake of adding protein - ruined the drink... I'll know next time... that's just not my thing. This will be our new Fresh Thyme to shop - we were pleasantly pleased! read more
