Georgetown Market is an independent neighborhood market that offers groceries, health supplements and has a snack bar. The snack bar serves healthy options including soups, sandwiches and assorted smoothies and smoothie bowls. They have a case with grab and go premade sandwiches and salads that are reasonably priced and super healthy. I had one of the premade salads that was filled with lots of raw vegetables such as squash, cauliflower, broccoli and more. The salad was delicious with the only downside that I had to purchase dressing separately. My husband had a vegan wrap that was filled with lots of veggies and bean sprouts. He said it was delicious. The smoothies looked amazing, but I'll wait till next visit. There are tables inside and outside where you can sit and eat. The clerks are welcoming, friendly and efficient. read more

Earlier today Saturday June 7th after my morning workout around 10 I decided to go to Georgetown Market Cafe for a smoothie. Now, I've been to Georgetown Market numerous times in the past. Georgetown Market supplies all natural, organic, and vegan products. You can get your food, natural meds, teas like mullein. Etc. When, I went this morning it wasn't crowded at the Cafe, you can dine in at the Cafe, and I ordered a smoothie called Mocha Chiquita that has banana, almond milk, cold brew, peanut butter, chocolate plant protein, and cinnamon. Now, I was actually recommended that smoothie especially for the protein. That was my first time ever having a smoothie at the Georgetown Market & in general. The ambiance of the place clean, smells very healthy, the staff are always very friendly and helpful. To, my surprise the smoothie was actually good to me. Mind, you I can't eat bananas by itself due the smell makes me gag, and I haven't ate a banana in many years. I would highly recommend the Mocha Chiquita smoothie. Then, around 3:30 in the afternoon I went back up to Georgetown Market Cafe for the Vegan mac and cheese, to me that was just okay. Then, I ordered a ginger shot which was good, that ginger burned slightly. However, I love Georgetown Market & the Cafe so I'll definitely be back. read more

One of top natural foods markets in Indianapolis! Love all the organic options available and bulk options for beans, oats and grains. They also have tons of spices and whole leaf teas towards the back. I was able to find some non toxic soaps I needed since me and my husband can only use certain products that can be difficult to find. I can be here for hours! Recently discovered this store heading on my way back to the Chicago area. This place was absolutely phenomenal. Prices here are absolutely great too! They got a small restaurant with smoothies, hot food and a small snacks to dine in at. Clean, well assorted aisles with tons of things to choose from for those who are health conscious . GM is one of my favorite locally-owned health food stores for a few reasons. To start, there are always multiple employees present who are eager to help. Secondly, the store is always well-stocked and organized, and I know where to go to get each specific item I am looking for. The building is small enough to easily navigate, yet spacious enough to allow a variety of selections. This visit I chose a seasonal smoothie at the juice bar, then went shopping for a variety of grocery items/produce. Super excited to find a nice organic acorn squash to bake! Once I made it to check-out, I found it very cool that an employee helped a patron in front of me to her car and loaded her groceries. Great service! read more

They have a small deli type area for smoothies and sandwiches and I tried their buffalo chicken wrap. It was excellent. Very fresh, the sauce was served on the side so it didn't get anything too soggy. Since I picked from ready made options there was no waiting. Yes, they carry your millet-and-spelt corn chips and your liquid aminos. Yes, you can find turmeric root in the produce section. I didn't visit for any of those things, though -- I came to check out their CBD and hemp oil selection. Yes, they carry CBD oil, but it's behind a locked glass display case, so you'll need to seek out the help of someone who works here before you can buy it. And then, they won't let you just put it in your cart and walk away. Nope. For some reason, they need to walk your CBD oil to the checkout counter and stand with you until you buy it. Oh, Indiana! I have been to the market before but since I live in Brownsburg, I don't visit as often as I should. I was searching for some vegan options and had been to other places so decided to stop by. I was so glad to find that they had sea moss gel and the guy in the store explained the difference between the two options. I am so glad he did because had I bought a different one it would have interacted with my medications. I was also pleasantly surprised to find they carry Charlotte's Web CBD oil. I have been wanting to get some for awhile and to find it locally was wonderful. I will be back to buy some once I determine which one is best for me. Friendly employees were willing to help me sign up for their rewards program as well as help me with supplements. I had not visited in a long time but needed peppercorns and forgot to pick some up before venturing home. I originally called to see if they had mixed peppercorns but when the store employee attempted to transfer me my call ended up in the grocery manager's mailbox queue. I figured since they were on the way home, I would just stop by. I was looking 4 colored peppercorns but settled on the trip blend instead. I did nice that some of there groceries are a tad more expensive than other similar stores but if you check out what is on sale, the sale prices are competitive. I picked up a big bag of Organic tricolor tortilla chips that was on sale for $2.99 that was definitely competitively priced. A few key takeaways from my visit: -extensive natural beauty care products sections -abundance of locally made products like Hidden Pond kombucha and oat cookies from Four Birds Bakery; I also noticed a few regional items like kraut and pickles from Detroit -the produce section is on the smaller side -small parking lot but it wasn't hard for us to find a spot -the in-house cafe offers a daily hot bar with prepared foods as well as juices and smoothies along with a handful of seats and large windows that make this an ideal spot for remote work -the space is just a wee bit smaller than a Trader Joe's snd equally easy to navigate -the beauty of it is, if they don't have what you're looking for, one of the dozens of neighboring international markets probably does read more

First things first: know you're going to spend a pretty penny at this place, esp. if your compare the prices to Saraga or Aldi which are both nearby. That being said, know that the quality/ingredients/sources generally warrant the price tag at Georgetown Market. I have been here a handful of times, usually when I'm in the area. They have a great selection that tickles my health-conscious self, so I stop in every now and then to find something very specific that a recipe calls for. Most recently, I stopped in on a whim as I was waiting for a friend in the area. I decided to check out their turmeric, ginger juice that was pre-bottled. Honestly, this was, by far, the best juice I've ever had in my life. I made sure to drink every last drop in that bottle as it was that delicious. Today I returned two soups to the deli that tasted horrible. I come here often and the soups and normally great! I'm not for sure what the problem was, but the two stars aren't for the food. The two stars are for the service. The Deli manager and young lady that checked me out acted as if there is no possible way something could be wrong with the batch of soup I purchased. I was crushed when I heated up the soup and it was foaming and nasty. Trust and believe I would've kept the soup if it didn't taste faulty. I love coming to GM weekly, not only because of my Mango Mama smoothie I always get - but because of the options available in the grocery part of the store as well as the deli. So - think of your local Whole Foods or TJ's but on a smaller, more personable scale. This place has all of your health needs (vitamins, etc) and much more. There's also a deli with hot and cold foods as well as quite a bit of gluten free options. They also have juices and smoothies. This is a cool place on the West side that I love to frequent. I was waiting in line and I was approached by the manager who works in the health and medicine area . She had brown reddish curly hair . She doesn't greet me with a smile and say hello she asks me " do you mind if I go ahead of you I have a huge order for the staff . I looked at her and said NO! A Westside staple! One of my favorite places to shop for healthy food items that has lived in the heart of both my mother and I for many years. The best part in my opinion is the recently renovated food counter which churns out beautifully crafted smoothies, juices, & much more. I started with the James Dean smoothie when I was younger but have recently become very fond of the Dragonfruit Delight the Jungle Juice. I have also gotten in the habit if adding protein to my drinks for even more benefits. The staff is always patient and friendly and every time I visit Georgetown Market it always smells amazing. I've been coming to this place since 2011... the vibe was always friendly.. someone was always around to answer questions... most of all they welcomed you with a hello. it felt like family... however today... not so much... and although I'll never go back I felt it was important to express my disappointment. I walked in to nothing... know one said a thing... know one cared to say can I help you... so I went for the item I needed but had a question about finding seamoss... of course know one was around... know one at the desk... and the cashiers are simply just that... their use to be the sweetest cashiers... they knew my face, they were happy to talk ask if I found everything, but not anymore... these cashiers im not sure where they found them... the vibration in that store has fallen so low that I begin to panic... just wasn't the same. I know things change in life... but it was sad to experience the feeling I get when I go to Walmart at GM.... I pray they get it together... until then I'll take my business to broad ripple and visit Good Earth... I at least know I'll experience kindness and concern and most of all great customer service.. I spoke with a manager and he was very nice... but not enough for me to come back. in the future GM do some reflecting... stop hiring ppl who don't have true experience in customer service, not only that.... hire ppl that have the same vision the company has... I hate I won't be back... but at the end of the day... who am I?.... business as usual I'm sure... I'm just one person so I'm sure they could care less... I am so sad I don't have this place at home. I stopped here on my way to Tennessee from Illinois to get some snacks and ended up buying a whole lot-- I also had to stop on my way back home. Their prices are surprisingly competitive and they have such an amazing variety. I wish I could have ordered from the cafe but I did get the vegan almond butter bar, TWICE because it was that good. Georgetown Market is a great place to come find some tasty food. Some people I work out with recommended we eat here after a session, and I said why not. Immediately when you walk in, you already notice the abundance of natural products and oils. Went over to where all of the fresh food were being prepared. I decided this time, instead of taking the safe route, just get something different. So instead of the chicken quesadilla, i ordered the Salmon Burger. I must say! This salmon burger had such a delectable taste! I was not expecting that at all. On top of that i had a great smoothie. The smoothie was so fruity, and enough to cure your sweet tooth. Decided to of course top my meal off with some fresh fruit as well. Service was great and efficient, especially dealing with the rush they were having. We were able to eat outside at the location. So I have been here twice this week for their freshly squeezed juices! I first got the ginger aid then the green drink! So healthy and yummy! My mom got the lemon tonic which is served hot with some added cayenne on top #flawless. The drinks are $6.99 for 16oz - so not cheap but totally worth it, especially since i don't have a juicer at home. I also got a chocolate chip banana bread slice at the cash register and some honesty juices for my daughter. My only issue with this place is price... there were a pack of organic juices for $3.99 for 4 and I can get a pack of the same juice (same brand) from Aldi for $1.99... it's a little shameful that the prices are jacked up so high. This is difficult to write. For the most part I have just ignored businesses that are being pretty loose with Covid policies. I don't go out much because I'm old. I find places that offer senior times avoid large restaurants or stores. I have been shopping at Georgetown since I moved here in the 90s. I had NO doubt I would find it to be a safe place. When I arrived I saw the sign said you must wear a mask. One would be supplied if necessary. I entered and right away saw a customer checking out who was not wearing a mask. She didn't even have one on her. So much for everyone must wear a mask. I saw a staff member wearing her mask under her nose. Then I saw another staff member wearing one under her chin. I just left. This is a health store doing nothing to protect the health of their customers. I never never expected this from a store that has been a vibrant part of the community. I want to give Georgetown Market 4 stars, but their service really just needs help. I've been here a couple times with work friends for lunch. On my latest visit, our driver warned us that it could take a while and that service is uneven. Even being warned, I ordered a wrap that didn't require heating of any kind. My coworkers ordered the already-prepared food out of the case. It probably took a solid 15 minutes for them to make my wrap. I saw workers looking mostly frazzled while my ticket sat on the counter and was passed up by orders taken after mine. It doesn't help that they seem to have a disorganized area. I saw the lady who finally made my wrap have to go back and forth for many items, including to the back just to get the tortilla! They need their work space set up much more efficiently. Okay, after all that, my wrap was very good, and I was SUPER excited to find they carry Lucky Guy brownies all the way up here. (Opposite side of town for me, but still closer than Bloomington.) They also had some other nice/organic/special items in the coolers as well. I haven't shopped the rest of the store recently, but it looks like you can find whatever you need if it's vitamins, specialty items, and all kinds of unusual stuff. After doing a bit of "pre-search" online, I knew which smoothie I wanted. I opted for the Soy Amazing Smoothie. These are 16 oz for only $4.99 - you just can't beat that! I also added spinach to it and was completely satisfied by the overall taste. I also loved how they had 2-packs of hard-boiled eggs in their fresh case along with their fruit salads.
