I guess this is how they maintain a salad bar that's so fresh and so clean. (No Outkast.) You animals used your grubby, bare hands one too many times to reach for the croutons, and now look what you did. Now we have to talk to someone if we want a salad, and point at what we want like a child. It's all your fault! Actually, it's probably for the best because the salad bar did look delectable and immaculate. So many fresh a clean vegetables! They also have an area with soup and chili, which the staff will also help you with. There are some tables in the salad bar area, so you can sit and eat your food inside the shop. Mostly, though, The Famous Tomato is a specialty food store. Lots of old fashioned candy, hot sauce and barbecue sauce, novelty sodas, so many different flavors of Moon Pies, and random things like salted peanuts in the shell. It's also a little farmers market, so you'll find lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. The Famous Tomato feels like a hidden gem, even though it's right there in plain sight in Speedway. For some reason, I would pass by it and I thought it was a Fazoli's? It's most certainly not, though. When you step inside, you'll see that this is a special place, with lots of special and local foods.

The price was incredibly cheap and the salad quality was very respectable. The person taking my order was very nice I would go back for a cheap and easy meal.

My boyfriend and I came on Mother's day (unintentionally) and we waited about 10-15 minutes to sit at the bar. Getting our orders taken & our food served definitely took a bit of time, but we enjoyed seeing all the cooks in action and getting to smell all the amazing smells!! I got Grandpa's one pan skillet and my boyfriend got the sausage breakfast sandwich on croissant bread. All I gotta say is those chefs definitely knew what they were doing! The flavors were unique and intentional and I enjoyed every bite. The home fries (potatoes) were also so yummy and everything was cooked really well. There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. I wish we waited until we got seated to order drinks because the menu was much more extensive than what I saw in the cafe and I would have ordered a different drink had I seen all the other options. The staff here are also very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our little brunch and will be back with family next time!

It's such a natural and great way to bring new faces into the space and celebrate local makers. The farmers market is a great family activity and often features live music, storytelling and other charming activities. We often end up grabbing brunch from Llama Delicatessen and Tinker Coffee. As for market vendors, you'll find everything from pasta and local cheese to winter produce, honey and dried flowers. It's a great assortment of food you can actually take home to make meals (and not just sauces and soaps ;). This is one of our favorite ways to spend Saturday mornings in the winter. Highly recommend!

The 2021-2022 location is The Amp - a new city market/like the Garage where there are multiple food stalls. The Amp - even tho it is not by anything - has the audacity to have pay parking lots but they are FREE during the farmers market! This market is huge with lots of vendors. Bring CASH. Most take credit but a few younger businesses only do cash or Venmo. There's a lot to offer - Filipino food, vegetables, fruits, spices, handmade crafts, baked goods, candles, sandwiches, etc. The food stalls are also open so you have a ton of awesome options for food while you are there!

Paper goods & household items for the most part match the price of bigger name brands that are found at other stores BUT the quality is in my opinion, better. The clearance aisle you can find anything from seasonal candles to blow up pools for your yard in the summer (super cheap too ) in the spring and summer they also have select plants/flowers near the front. A lot of folks I have overheard say that Aldi only has offbrand items - which is false. They have a coinciding name brand item for almost all products and food item. Supposedly, it serves four but this is what the platter looks like after three very hungry adults ate our fill. The platter also comes with four bowls of weirdly delicious soup made with beans and....I think, hotdogs. Sounds horrible and I normally would push the bowl out of sight but then I tried a bite. It was great. We split the meat platter leftovers and I will have food for every meal for the next 3-4 days. Then the staff found out it was my birthday and brought out a huge tray of sopaillas drizzled with chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles, sugar, and whipped cream. Oh my. I forgot to take a photo of the meat platter before we chowed down on it and didn't have time to take a photo of the dessert because.....well, because it was too amazing looking to wait for a photo!
