This Dave's hot chicken just opened up in the area and after a few weeks the hype finally died down…read moreso the wait is much more tolerable. I got their slider, tender, and mozzarella cheese. The hot was just the perfect amount of heat where I would sweat but still enjoy the flavor! The chicken was juicy and crispy with its batter. The Dave sauce pairs very well with the sandwich. Staff were quite friendly here! The interior had some cool artwork on the wall and ceiling, and it was quite clean (given it's relatively new). Overall for a chain fast casual restaurant I was quite happy and satisfied with this experience, I would definitely come back again!

At the food truck festival, and our first stop is a chicken truck offering tacos, wings, and…read morechicken sliders. Girlfriend was very interested in the tacos, so we opt for a trio of their spicy tacos. Service was quick and we found a seat to dig in. Overall, the chicken was tasty but the rest was okay. The sauce was kind of like franks red hot but a bit tangier but a little milder. It's a solid sauce, but I usually prefer a little more heat. The taco shells were generic, out of a bag tortillas. Nothing special of note there, just plain flour tortillas. they didn't bulk out the tacos with lots of extra slaw, but the chicken portion was very small for the size of tortilla they used. In the future, they should look at street taco tortillas. they're a bit smaller, but would make the chicken look like a significantly larger portion. Then if they use a seasoned crispy batter then dunk the tenders in the sauce then it would be a very awesome bite. for what we got, it was good but not great. They need to make little tweaks to get them to great, but it's easy enough to do. I hope to see some quality improvements going forward, but for now they are a solid choice if you're in the mood for unhealthy chicken.

After the first bite of their mixed grill, I immediately understood why this is his favorite spot. This small shop can get busy, but it's well-staffed and efficiently run. The employees take pride in what they do. the cashier welcomes you with a smile, and the owner is always present, making sure everything is prepared correctly. The food is surprisingly delicious, and the portions are huge! definitely generous for a campus restaurant. There's plenty of seating inside, with additional tables outside. The ordering style is similar to Chipotle: you pick your base and sides, and they build your plate right in front of you. Smart and familiar. I come through UConn often, and Gansett has become one of the reasons I enjoy stopping by Storrs-Mansfield. If you're in the area, give them a try. I'm sure you won't regret it!

Its been years since I have been to Mooyah Burger, but recently they sent me a 1/2 birthday coupon…read moreso I decided to stop in. Mooyah Burger offers a variety of burgers, fries, and shakes. Everything on the menu looked really good. Their burgers are advertised as fresh, never frozen which is definitely a draw for me. I decided to go with a burger from their secret menu called the "Burger Hall of Dang" . I was intrigued by the name and the picture of it looked really good so I ordered the Hamburg Dog. The Hamburg Dog is huge and comes with a certified angus beef patty, topped with a Hebrew National all-beef hot dog, cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapenos, fried onion strings, and ketchup all sandwiched in between a non-GMO potato bun. I also ordered fries to go with my Hamburg Dog. The food is cooked to order so you do have to wait a short bit, but it's definitely worth it. My hamburg dog was definitely as good as it looked in the picture. Everything tasted fresh too. I was only able to eat 1/2 of the burger so I took the rest of it to go. This particular Mooyah Burger appears very narrow when you first walk in, but opens up towards the back and there is plenty of seating. Two things I really liked about Mooyah Burger was that they had bottles of Heniz Ketchup on each table. I am a huge ketchup fan (Heniz is my fav) so I loved being able to squeeze as much as I liked onto my food. And I love that they have an oath posted in the restaurant that states, in summary, that their burgers are never frozen, fries and other veggies are cut daily, they use non-gmo buns that are baked in house, and real ice cream is used in all their shakes.
