This gas station has the 'BEST' Cajun Fried Chicken!! The chicken tenders are huge and moist with a zesty twang!

It's hard for me to rate restaurant sold shellfish because I still think it's a way better deal to buy it and cook it fresh. It's cheaper, more flavorful, and more quantity. We got the whole pot and a side of lobster tails and potatoes. The potatoes weren't necessary as the whole pot had a whole lot of potatoes. The lobster tails were pretty small sized but there was 4 pieces. The crab pieces were all minuscule outside of the claws. The corn was really good. Everything is drenched in a delicious buttery sauce that made everything still enjoyable and pretty tasty. Overall I was pleased with the meal and overall experience, though.

I had the shrimp and crab combo, with a lobster tail add-on. The dish includes potatoes, corn on the cob, and andouille sausage. The flavor of the seafood was good: no hint of the unpleasant scent or aftertaste that can be found in seafood that is past its prime or has been thawed out and refrozen. I opted for the Parmesan garlic mixed with the raging Cajun. It is a heavily seasoned buttery sauce. Friendly service was a plus. I liked it and will return.

First, you can't beat the view, the vast parking lot, and the attentive service. We were a big group and were seated outside, but when it started raining outside the lovely servers helped us all move inside and were so helpful throughout the whole dining experience. The kitchen closes at 7pm but we were able to hang out and chat until 8pm. I was mostly there for the drinks and dessert but everyone's food looked great. The Matcha Tiramisu was not too sweet and very creamy. The house-made cheesecake was rich and decadent and worth every calorie! The fries shared with me were seasoned and crispy with the perfect chipotle dipping sauce on the side. The prices were reasonable and the food is freshly made and tasty. Planning to return for the happy hour deals!

From the lemon slaw, to the rosemary parmeson fries, to perfectly fried halibut, there was nothing I did not like! My wife had the steak salad and loved it too. We had the VR Bread as an appetizer. So not a good idea for two people...unless you are really hungry. You will not leave any left. I think it may be better than Stanfords cheese bread. To full for dessert. The peanut butter milkshake and raspberry lemon cheesecake looked really good on the menu. Great job!

Happy Self-Care Saturday Some places don't just feed you --…read morethey hold you. And for me, that place will always be Montage My husband and I make it a point to come here at least once a month, usually on a Self-Care Saturday, as a little ritual after a long, demanding week. Life moves fast, work is heavy, and sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down, sit side-by-side, and share a bowl of something that feels like a warm hug. Everyone deserves to indulge after a hard week -- no guilt, no rushing, just comfort. Montage has been part of Portland's soul for as long as I can remember. Back in the day, they were a late-night staple under the Morrison Bridge, serving up bold Creole/Cajun flavors that set the standard for mac and cheese in this city. When COVID hit and they were forced to close their brick-and-mortar, they didn't disappear -- they evolved, transforming into food carts around Oregon. And honestly? The heart, flavor, and magic never left. Each cart still carries that same friendly, welcoming energy -- the kind where you feel genuinely happy ordering your food and even happier taking the first bite. The menu may be more focused now, highlighting their absolute best items, but every dish is still packed with deep, intentional flavor that reminds you why Montage became legendary in the first place. My forever order (and I mean forever): Spold Mac & Cheese with andouille sausage Cajun spice + green chili peppers folded into a creamy cheddar base Fried artichoke hearts on the side -- because adding a veggie is a personal goal of mine heading into the New Year That first bite hits every time: creamy, spicy, smoky, rich, and comforting in a way that feels earned. The artichokes are crispy perfection and somehow make the indulgence feel balanced -- at least in my heart. These monthly dates aren't about being fancy or doing something big. They're about choosing comfort, choosing each other, and honoring the fact that rest and joy are just as important as productivity. 11/10. Always. If you love mac and cheese, crave bold Cajun comfort, or just need a reminder to treat yourself -- run, don't walk. Your cozy date night (and your soul) will thank you.
