i used to love dave's! food was always consistently good, i don't know if it's because they're more popular now, but last two times here were a huge miss. last time my chicken tenders weren't as crispy or well seasoned like they normally are, and i ended up still waiting for them to finish my order despite ordering ahead online and even coming later than the pickup time. i still had to wait an extra 10 minutes after my pickup time for my food to be ready. this time i learned my lesson and came 15 minutes later than my pickup time. tell me why there were 20 people waiting at the pickup window ahead of me waiting for their food, with only one person tending to one person at a time. it was the most inefficient system i've ever seen. why can't they ask for multiple names at once and go back to look for those orders? and why was only one person working on this while the online pickup area seemed more busy than the dine in area? i waited an extra 30 minutes standing in line there when i ordered ahead wanting to avoid this very thing from happened. my food was cold by the time i got it. very disappointing. i don't think i will be returning until they improve their service. read more

I've been getting the hot mozzarella combo once a month or so as a treat since it came out. It's delicious! The pickles are super yummy and I always get them as a side. The sauce is a little weird, not my thing. I love that they serve crinkle fries, and after trying several levels of spice, I've arrived on the mild being my fav, I still get some spice, but not so much that it becomes unenjoyable by the third one (and I LOVE spicy foods). I love the pickup window for online orders, much less crowded, and they always serve you quickly to get you on your way. I've been here a couple times now. Both times the food was excellent. The staff was competent and the price for the mozzarella sticks was fair. The five piece mozzarella sticks is $10. This is one of those super late hangout spots these days so the parking lot can be a bit full - seriously, be careful...I had a younger girl falling over drunk right as I was trying to exit the parking lot. This place is a favorite treat of mine and I can't help but love it. It scratches a very good itch for tasty, and potentially very spicy, fried chicken. I find most other places lacking in terms of bombastic seasoning whilst still being nice and juicy on the inside. They also have better mac and cheese along with better fries than virtually all of the fast food competition. The only imperfection with the chicken, besides complaints about it being to salty I've heard, is that it's not all that crispy. Not that their is zero crispyness but some bites feel a bit light and effortless, it's just not as crispy as a place like Popeyes. Orders have been consistent bar a couple times where extra sauce packets were not being included despite the extra cost. Though I have noticed recently the fries being more raw than I would like. Building/interior looks cool and the chicken sandwich is the perfect concoction. 9/10 totally worth the heartburn! read more

I have been looking forward to tasting Dave's Hot Chicken. I had not realized that they are large chicken tenders but don't let this turn you off the sandwiches are great. I tried the #2 combo, 2 sliders with fries, pickles and fries sauce. The chicken has a lot of flavor, you can also add your spice level, I chose the medium level it was perfect. Plenty of fries with a tasty dipping sauce. I could only finish one of the sliders, they are huge, I saved the other one for later. They also have Cauliflower sliders that are served on a potato bun with a kale slaw. I will need to try them next time. For shake lovers they have your favorites. I love pickles so I ordered an extra side, worth the cost. The inside of the location had plenty of seating. It was very busy mid day but you can also place an order for pickup, they have a pick up window for to go order which is very convenient. The staff were friendly. The chicken sandwiches were decent but I expected them to be much better. The French fries were solid. The Mac n cheese was wack. The Oreo top loaded "shake" was very disappointing: it wasn't a shake at all, just ice cream with Oreos on top. Starting off, the vibes were awesome! I really liked all the wall art through the restaurant. We got free drinks for checking in on Yelp, so that was cool! You just check in and show them that you checked in. Fries were good but the chicken is what was disappointing. I was expecting spicy, but it almost just seemed like a bunch of dry rub on it that wasn't pleasant. I wasn't a fan. I had never tried Dave's so when I was in Beaverton I thought....todays the day. I had sliders combo in both the hottest and burn your face off flavors. Had to sign a waiver for the latter. I like hot things, I eat all kinds of yummy things trying to melt my brain. I haven't got there yet but it isn't all about the heat, it needs to have flavor and heat and there sauces just don't.
