Always a great stop when I'm at the plaza. I can imagine that doughnuts are a popular item around this time of year. SO with that being said, if you want doughnuts for your office breakfast/brunch/ family treat, or for your kids holiday party at school- go early! Location hours show they close at 10 and the door was definitely locked before then which is just a bummer. Went for the glazed green Saint Patrick's Day special and I have to say-- they were green! I got them when they were fresh so the dough was mochi-like and very tasty. The glaze broke off perfectly with each bite which was nice and interesting. The store itself is nice with newspapers at times, a spacious seating area, and milk for sale as well! The orange milk was a tad sweet but it tasted great with the donuts itself. At times, my offers do not necessarily go through and customer services does not reply, so be sure the amount is correct / your rewards are placed when you order and before you pay. If it isn't, ask immediately and correct it on the spot. Other than that, the experience of fresh donuts is always nice! I went in at 9:30 PM last night to buy four of the new Peanuts series of Krispy Kreme donuts. I told the guy working the cashier (a young red-headed fellow) that it was my first visit to Krispy Kreme! and I was excited. But wow, he was totally humorless and unsmiling. I wanted to get a couple dozen donuts for the office last week. An enticement to go on May 7 was a free doughnut. The Krispy Kreme employee asked to see my Real ID for the free doughnut. Either the people working there didn't want to run their machines OR they have bad predictions on how much glazed they should produce on a Friday night. Came here for a promo they had for national coffee day. Rewards members could get a free donut and coffee. The store had a sign taped to the door about this deal which was cool. When I arrived around 4pm, there wasn't too long a line. There were 3 parties ahead of me and the line moved quickly. Most folks were also here for the promo and I heard the worker ask folks upfront if they were rewards members for the promo. When I got to the counter to order, I initially wanted to get a cinnamon roll style donut but the girl told me those weren't part of the promo unfortunately. So I ended up getting an original glazed Kreme donut and also a strawberry sprinkle donut. For the free coffee, you could pick any size iced or hot coffee. I got a large iced coffee as an after work pick-me-up. Original glazed Kreme donut is filled with a marshmallow like Kreme. Pretty good. The strawberry sprinkle donut was very artificial strawberry tasting - I was hoping for a less chemical taste. Coffee wasn't burnt, but definitely not the best tasting coffee :) I got cream added to mine. Overall was a pretty bitter coffee that I wasn't too fond of. This is my second time coming to this Krispy Kreme location. The shop interior is a bit small, especially given the 6 foot spacing for people waiting in line. There's enough room for about 3-4 parties before the last person is hugging the entrance door and it's busy during weekday afternoons. Almost every single party before me was ordering at least a dozen of the classic glazed donuts. I was glad that I came when the hot sign was on. When that sign is on, you can step to the back of the store where there's a huge glass window in front of the sugar glaze machine conveyor belt. It's fun watching the piping hot donuts move down the line and go through the sugar waterfall. I got a dozen donuts as well. With the 4-5 parties in front of me, it was about a 5 minute wait or so before I got my box of delicious fresh donuts after checking out with the cashier. There are plenty of interesting donut flavors and designs for October's Halloween. I saw some cool cauldron and witch's broom themed donuts that looked festive and fun. The store is small, but clean. The only thing that freaked me out was the carts and piles of stuff by the entrance of the store. I think it belonged to a homeless person nearby. I like how the donuts were ready and have a tanker seal on the boxes. I called ahead to let them know I wasn't able to pick up my online order at the scheduled time.
