Ordered on their website 7 dozen and got 4. It goes through door dash when you go on their website. They don't pick up after calling like 5 times. Had to call dash support and they can't get ahold of them either. The dasher said "they said someone else picked it up"...picked up my other half???? Still can't get ahold of them, so now I'm with dash support for 30 mins and they call corporate. Who is just as unhelpful by saying "idk why they won't pick up" so she hangs up on me saying they'll email me with the refund. Lowe and behold they didn't refund the full amount and the email says to CALL THE NUMBER NO ONE PICKS UP IF I HAVE ANY QUESTION. This is ridiculous. I wish I could say I was surprised because you're only desperate and sad when you order from them. But this is beyond terrible business. I've never been much of a donut fan - even on donut Fridays at work I wouldn't bother getting one. However, during my recent pregnancy, oddly enough it was all I wanted, I was insatiable. I ended up trying all sorts bakeries that sold donuts but this place consistently had the best donuts. Because of that, I became a regular at this establishment. Located in a shopping plaza with a Costco, there is always plenty of parking to be had. They also have a drive-thru if you prefer to stay in your car, which is something I never knew a donut establishment would have. There's a decent amount of seating inside, probably can host about 20 people or so. My favorite is when you first enter, there is a huge glass where you can see them making the donuts fresh. I often stare longingly through the display as I watch the machine slather generous amounts of icing on top of the freshly fried donuts. Then you get to the counter with a display of assorted donuts. There's so many flavors and varieties it's always hard to choose! However, the original glazed and the maple glazed are always hard to beat. They consistently have maintained excellent quality and taste, I have yet to have a stale donut here. Pro tip, if you come here often, it is definitely worth it to download the Krispy Kreme app and sign up for the rewards. I have shamelessly gotten a handful of free donuts by the dozens because of this. 12 single donuts purchased gets you a free single donut, and 12 dozen donuts gets you a free dozen as well. Honestly, we were all very surprised that we had a small baby considering how many donuts I ingested throughout my pregnancy haha. The staff are incredibly nice and professional. Interacting with them has always been such a pleasure. I suppose it's hard to not be in a good mood surrounded by so much delicious carbs though. My one criticism, if I were to have one, is that the employees are not always familiar with any specials or deals that are available, so I often find myself having to explain to them what it is. They always honor it though if I can show it to them on the app, but it's just an extra step that could potentially be considered a negative. Lastly, I feel a little bad saying this, some of the staff have very heavy accents that I have trouble distinguishing and understanding, but I would like to attribute that to my inability to comprehend. But if anybody else has similar difficulties as I do, then interactions can be a little bit of a struggle, especially if you are trying to redeem and explain the specials of the day. I haven't had Krispy Kreme in a long time. It seems that I'd have it every 3 years because I try to each healthy and Krispy Kreme is not healthy at all. I heard from my friend that Krispy Kreme throws away their donuts at the end of the night instead of donating it to the homeless shelter because they believe when you're donating food, homeless people shouldn't eat non-nutritional food. Last night, I got the original glaze and chocolate donut with sprinkles. My friends got a donut each and they finished it fast and they regretted not buying two donuts each. Luckily, I purchased the two donuts, but I only had one and that was the glazed. I microwaved it for 5 mins when I got home and I got my milk ready as well. The donut was nice and sweet and savory on the outside because of the sugary glazed that was on it, after chewing 3 seconds into it, you'll taste the light fluffy dough on the inside that taste like oil. It was pure goodness and I wanted to eat my chocolate glazed donut afterwards, but I had to stop myself because I need to control myself! Haha! Came in last Sunday. The store was relatively empty due to the COVID scare and shelter in place. The staff was actively wiping down the dining area, tables counters etc. the store had a huge Purcell dispenser for the customers when entering etc. We were able to get some St Patrick day donuts which the kids enjoyed. We were warmly greeted and given attentive attention by the cashier. When watching how they make donuts, you do question on how well clean those machines are since when looking through the window you do see a lot of sugar/flour build up. I'm sure the machines are well cleaned but coming so late in the afternoon you do wonder! read more

For those who don't know the light's significance: employees turn it on when the store is making fresh hot donuts. So, the donuts are great. When I think of a really good Donut Krispy Kreme is not the first to mind, it's not even the second but in a fix they're ok. My favorite Donut of all time are actually the Jelly or Lemon Curd filled ones from Tesco back in England that I used pick up for a mere 12p! (18c) but that's another review altogether. I find everything about KK is so generic, every store is pretty much the same with the same selection and same bored looking staff serving. They occasionally have ''special'' Donuts like Pumpkin shaped for Halloween, Heart shaped for Valentines Day and Snowman ones for Christmas but they never look how they do on the poster, they're so disappointing. With all that being said I am partial to one of their Apple filled from time to time and the Key Lime Pie ones they had last Summer were really good. I recently partook in a marketing questionnaire regarding future products they have in mind which some sound really good too - different flavors of glaze (Strawberry, Blueberry ect) and Doughnut holes with various flavored fillings among other things which I hope they go ahead with. I was able to claim my absolutely free dozen of hot off the conveyor original glaze courtesy of Krispy Kreme's collaboration with Groupon. Since I had bought the 2 dozen for $10 deal and signed up for the email club, I was emailed a coupon for a free dozen a few months ago. It was about to expire so my friends and I went to the Mountain View location which was more convenient. However, I normally go to the Union City one. They both seem the same but UC looks bigger? I was surprised the lady got my doughnuts off the conveyor but they were so soft that it was difficult to get them out of the box-- so fragile! Yummy though and you get the melt in your mouth experience. I also got 2 chocolate iced with sprinkles (yay!), a powdered strawberry, cinnamon apple, plain sugar, and the new red velvet. I've yet to try the red velvet and am skeptical about trying the key lime pie doughnut. All I know is sprinkles rule! I do miss the powdered blueberry though. I also prefer the chocolate iced custard filled over the cream version because the cream is way too sweet. 2020 has been hard and it doesn't look like 2021 is getting easier. I wouldn't be surprised if Krispy Kreme is a thriving business right now. People need their comfort food in times like these. Being in pain from eating too much doughnuts is way better than being in pain from dealing with reality. Luckily my friend knows this about me too and he surprised me with a dozen doughnuts on a day I was feeling particularly down. I'm not much of a cryer. I only really cry when I'm watching Marley and Me, or when someone else is crying, or when I'm talking about something really emotional. There's probably a couple more things that make me cry, but I don't want to think about it right now because I might start crying. Besides those few times, I don't really cry. I'd say for the majority of my life I have not cried more than cried. So I was pretty surprised when I almost started crying when my friend gave me these doughnuts.
