The management never calls back when they say they will. Online orders are completely ignored. When I went in to pick up my online fundraising order I'm told they never got it, the manager is quitting so she doesn't care, and no they won't make me the donuts I ordered. Nice alternative to Dunkin, which back in the day actually sold donuts freshly baked on premises. Those days are long gone, alas. Can get their regular sugar glaze or choose from a variety of flavors : custard filling (basically Boston Kreme), cream filling, raspberry jelly, oreo, chocolate glaze, etc., For the cake variety, they offer cinnamon sugar. We were in the area and figured we would stop by to get our free glazed doughnut with our COVID vaccine cards. They didn't even look at the cards so anyone could go and just say they got the vaccine to get the free doughnut. I also wanted to get a few other doughnuts since we don't go there that much anymore. I got the birthday cake and Reese's filled. They were both somewhat dry and tasted a little old. I like the birthday cake flavor but after awhile it gets a little sickening. I didn't realize they were kind of a ripoff, 2 for $2.29 I think? When a regular doughnut is about $1.50. They should have been 2 for $1. They were also more dry than the other doughnuts. I did like the Easter one with all the colored sugar on top, tasted like peeps. The glazed doughnut is pretty good though. It's soft and melts in your mouth and sweet enough but not too sweet. It's kind of light and doesn't make you feel too full either. Staff wasn't too friendly either. They seemed annoyed that i was taking awhile to decide on flavors and kept asking me how many I was getting. My wife really enjoys Krispy Kreme and I'm a huge fan of the sour cream donut, when they have it. Otherwise, I just don't get the Krispy Kreme hype. This location is the one I go to the most, because there aren't any other closer. At least four times that I can think of, they didn't get their shipment of donuts in when the website said that some stupid donut was debuting. Oh wow, a donut that has some weird picture on it, but tastes like every other donut they have... I have to go get it for my wife to make her happy for eleven seconds... So that's the thing, they don't make their donuts there. I'm not even sure if they make the plain ones, but they do glaze plain ones there on occasion. Watching that machine is one of my favorite parts of going here. I haven't had Krispy Kreme in a while and decided to try it again. The donuts were delicious but, the drink I ordered was terrible. I asked the staff how the drinks are and she said she doesn't drink coffee so that didn't really help me. I ordered the vanilla hot latte and it tasted like water no flavor at all. I wish I could give it 4 stars but I found out the donuts are made off site.. BOO. There is plenty of parking in the shopping strip mall lot. They have tons of varieties of donuts for you to choose. They have a case for cold drinks as well. No idea on the coffee since I don't drink the stuff. In the back you can see the glazing machine which is pretty cool. My son was able to put on a bakers Krispy Kreme hat while he watched the donuts being glazed. We only picked up 1 donut which was $1.15 inc tax. - a bit steep ESPECIALLY since the donuts are made offsite. They do have an eat in section which is pretty cool. I learned something new today. Krispie Kreme actually makes doughnuts without the glaze! I know, shocker! I know most people love all that sugary goodness but it's just a little too much for me. They probably don't have a ton but today's cinnamon swirl was delish. Lots of cinnamon, no glaze, tiny bit of cream cheese frosting. Yum! Glad i got two so I'll have one for tomorrow... if I can hold out till then! This particular location is in the Manoa Shopping Center which can be a drag to park. That is a smell that is just telling you, come in, stand in my line, order till your hearts content. The crew over here are doing a great job in feeding our addiction to your sweet addictive pleasure known as a hot donut.These guys even sell shirts and to go mugs , so once you return the price for coffee is at one rate. More than just donuts also , nice sized bagels being displayed , so Manhattan you might as well close up shop, you've just been owned. Are they the greatest, for this spot yes, are they the best? No in my own opinion the filling could be more to it, Suzy Jo has them beat in that. As far as freshness they are fresh, but Federal beats them by a long shot when it truly comes to hot and fresh. My better half bought a 1/2 pound of KK coffee in a New England market. Not able to find it in local supermarkets, I stopped in here to pick up some. Of course, he also asked for a creme (sic) filled donut, those round, glazed puffs filled with light, white, super sweet, white cream. Well, they no longer exist in that form, at least not at this KK. When I asked for the desired sugary confection, I was directed to a o-ring shaped donut that was injected at various intervals with the marshmallow-like fluffiness. Sorry, but this configuration does not hit the mark. I like Krispy Kreme's donuts, but this location is just horrible. I have always thought this location was not great, they often don't have the donuts being advertised available. But, our experience this weekend just takes the cake. My husband told his coworkers he would bring in donuts for breakfast this past Sunday (4/11). He ordered and paid online the day before for 24 donuts and set the pick up time for 6:15 AM (they open at 6). He arrives at 6:15 and the door is locked. But, there is a lady that works there inside. He knocked on the door, but she didn't come out. She looked like she was busy working and would occasionally be visible and then disappear. My husband banged on the door whenever she would be visible and she just ignored him. Since she appeared to be working, my husband thought she was just running behind and trying to get his order ready. She finally comes out over a half hour later. She says "my manager didn't come in so I can't do cash sales", my husband says "that's fine, I already paid for it". She then says, "well I can't turn on the ovens to make donuts". My husband asked her why she couldn't have come out and told him that a half hour ago and she gave no reason. I understand things happen, but it was absolutely unacceptable ignore a customer for a half hour. Had she came out right away, he could have gone somewhere else to get his coworkers donuts. Instead she made him wait for over a half hour and have to rush to get to work with no time to stop anywhere. She wasn't even apologetic. If it's one of those days and you live near Havertown you can come here starting Tuesday. The high may be a little slower but it will taste much much better! These folks open on Tuesday the 9th. I was at the right place at the right time today and snared a free test-run doughnut and a peak at the new store. Their entrance is in the front of Manoa Shopping Center near Cathy's Books. For those not familiar with this plaza, parking in the front can be tight. My advice is to park in the back. There is a sweet little corridor right next to Staples that you can use can use to walk to the front. Much easier. I'd think of this one as a baby Krispy Kreme as it's very small. However all the usual stuff is available. I enjoy their coffee. If you are new to the chain, they also have lattes. The bagels are decent and fresh. There is competition for just about every product they have within a minute or two drive. It's going to be interesting to see how my fellow Havertownians embrace the new guys in town. When I found out that a Krispy Kreme was opening in Delco I was excited as I am a big fan of the experience. But finding out that they make the donuts in Fox Chase and deliver them here to be glazed and reheated, well my balloon was deflated big time. I still gave them a try today. I sampled a glazed donut, and made them run one through the line to heat up. These are at best warm donuts not worthy of the red sign. They're still tasty enough, and the iced coffee wasn't too bad. But they're not special. The whole experience that makes them hot and fresh is non-existent. There is absolutely no reason to have a Krispy Kreme without the full setup. At that point you're no more special than a Dunkin Donuts. And Dunkins has much better coffee. read more

So it's a chain but Krispy Kreme is a special place. In Alabama, Krispy Kreme is everywhere, but it's a little harder to come by in PA. I accidentally found this place and i think I had a "one tear" moment. So just at the site of the place, it was a 5 star moment. The donuts are consistently good. You are asked if you would rather wait a few minutes to get hot glazed donuts. If you can spare about 5 minutes, it's worth the wait. A large variety to choose from outside of the amazingly world renowned glazed. Several "special" ones for the season.
