It has been a long time since we've had a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in North County, San Diego. It is about time! I have visited a few times since they opened. Due to COVID, I have only used the drive-thru since the lobby wasn't open every time. I also placed a pickup order, super convenient. The menu offers a decent selection of donuts, coffee, and drinks. I especially enjoy the donut holes and mini donuts. Krispy Kreme offers fun, seasonal donuts. Perfect for any holiday party. They always release new donuts and seem to continually get better and better each season. Donuts are a fun dessert alternative and perfect any time of day. The only complaints here, the wait and if you go late, the selection will vary, of course. Other than that, Krispy Kreme makes great donuts and drinks. Look for the "Hot Light" because it means they are making fresh, hot donuts in store! read more

I'm Handicapped and didn't bring my walker with me, so I call inside and ask about the drive thru being closed and a very nice gentleman told me he was short on staff. My family loves Krispy Kreme, period. I know it's not health food nor organic, but I give it 5's because this location is amazing. It's in North County (thank you!), it opened during Covid and even though there were/are long lines, they've put everything in order to keep traffic flowing and people fed, all SAFELY. As we drove up, there were a bunch of security guards (all wearing masks) answering questions and guiding the cars into orderly lines that didn't interfere with the rest of the traffic flow in the parking lot. Yes, these lines were long, but someone really thought the flow out. Impressive in my opinion. After getting in line, my husband figured out we could order from their app (plus they had a promo, buy 1 doz/get 1 doz!) and walk in to pick it up. So we got out of the line, parked, ordered and he ran up to grab our loot. Super easy! I watched the security guards (I counted no less than SIX) at work and was pretty impressed at what I saw. They were happy, totally engaged and doing a phenomenal job. Good work Krispy Kreme! Just bring a little patience with you. We'll all get our doughnuts in time ! read more

Arrived between 2-3p, drive thru was packed. *Awesome* parking security/staff that was controling the overzealous doughnut zombies who didn't care about blocking thru traffic. We parked and went in to order ... Yes, w/face masks. Got 1 chocolate glazed to taste ... Nope, not our cup of tea. Wife: it's too rich for me. (also,not a fan of chocolate) Me: I can live without it. I'm just a boring "OG" who prefers plain glazed. So we got 2 dz glazed and ate 1 in the car. Hmmm, didn't taste fresh. Texture wasn't chewy. Skinnier than I remember. Something was off. Maybe I should've looked for that illuminated sign that says, "Just made/Hot fresh" . . . you know that sign. I just went through the drive thru and evidently missed the window for the fresh warm donuts by minutes. The person at the window said the hot donuts end at 9:30. Krispy Kreme donuts MELT IN YOUR MOUTH when they are hot. They also make your fingetips a sticky lickable mess so, don't pump gas before eating your donuts or, make certain you have something to clean your hands before and after. I ordered two donuts. They gave them to me free. They weren't warm so they didn't melt in my mouth or goo up my hands. If you want hot donuts, get there early. :-) read more

It's great to finally have a Krispy Kreme in North County. It's easily accessible, plenty of parking space if you don't want to go through the drive through, donuts are fresh 99% of the time. I was so excited to receive the text alert at 8:25am that the DoorDash driver, Danny was at the store to pick up my order for a prompt 9am delivery. Approx 20 min later I received a cancellation notice..? I tried calling the number Danny left in his text and it was no longer working. I immediately called Krispy Kreme to find out what happened....? I talked to two people, Jacob and also the manager, which I believe his name was Mark. Both told me sorry....they can't control what the Door Dash driver's do....it's an outside service and they can just refund my order??!! This is unacceptable??!! I told them I ordered this a week in advance, wanted my loved ones to be surprised on Valentine's day with the heart shaped donuts? They said sorry...it's out of their control but if I wanted to come in and pick them up, I could or they could refund?! I was sooooo mad! I called Door Dash to report the driver and they informed me that when he got to Krispy Kreme he was told there were no more of the item I ordered so he cancelled. He waited 20 minutes!!?? I called back the store, talked to Jacob...the manager was not avaiable and was told again, sorry...about sic other people were turned away too??!! Like that makes me feel any better! Unbelievable!! I made complaint on Krispy Kreme website....got a response that I would be contacted in the next couple of business days.....I stated that I wanted to be contacted and it's now week later and NOTHING!!!! This location is NOT living up to Krispy Kreme deliciousness. First of all, there were no hot and fresh donuts and the young individual at the window didn't know when they would be made. Secondly, the employees are clearly not trained in polite communication or speedy service. It wasn't like anyone inside was making any fresh donuts, but the line wrapped around the lot. I am unexpectedly leaving a bad review for my all time favorite donut place. I've been going to different locations since I was a little kid and never had a bad experience until this morning. I am still in shock trying to figure out what I possibly could have done wrong. My husband and I just wanted to stop in for a treat for breakfast and for whatever reason had the worst customer service experience to date for either of us. We walked in to a relatively quiet cafe and we're trying to decide what we wanted when a young man named Matias came up to as us what we wanted, I answered (I thought politely) that we were still looking at options and when I tried to ask a question about something he fully looked away and even walked a couple steps to his right. I assumed maybe he didn't hear me and tried again, same reaction/lack there of. My much more boisterous partner gave it his best shot only for the young man to fully walk away from us. Finally his coworker pointed out to him we were trying to get service to which he replied very nonchalantly that it didn't matter. When he did come back and finally helped us we ordered quickly and tried to just leave as quickly as possible but did have to ask for my husband's drink to be remade which still turned out wrong but we just wanted to leave. I have never been treated so badly by someone I just met and pride myself on being sympathetic and polite to service workers because I've been there and I fully understand the struggle but I still can't figure out how I made this particular person so upset with me that he felt the need to ignore me completely. The donuts are presented in a clean and neat manner to oogle your eyes and your nose goes crazy with that fresh smell of coffee. The staff is extremely sweet and helpful. The young lady who helped me was very patient as my 10 year old nephew indecisively made decisions on the donuts he wanted. The donuts are as you would expect from any other Krispy Kreme location along with typical coffee flavors and options. Each bite is made out of melting sugar hitting your taste buds. For this location, you are going for two things - 1. The donuts/coffee 2. The customer service. The parking is pretty dedicated however not exclusive to Krispy Kreme. It does share parking spots with other businesses in the area. This location specifically does not have an active drive thru. It does not mean that it does not have a drive thru, it just is not open at the moment. my five year old grandaughter loves to spend her Friday nights at this Krispy Kreme location. Everyone working there are fun and friendly. She really enjoys the hot light fun! Her favorite thing is the frosting waterfall (frosting fall, lol). Erykah is her favorite Krispy Kreme team member because she is kind and helpful. We spend a lot of time enjoying the doughnuts being made and listening to music. I have seen Erykah in action with customers and she deserves to be recognized.
