    Regular vegan burger

Haven for those who are gluten free!! Almost everything on the menu can be gluten free, I cry. Yes we went to a NOLA inspired creole restaurant in Dublin... but we wanted something a little different than traditional pub food and this had options for everyone. All outside seating was taken but we were able to sit at a table by the window which was a great compromise! I got the gluten free fried chicken sandwich with the hot honey and slaw... dang this was so good. The chicken was crispy and there was a whole lot of it. The bun was soft and didn't crumble in my hands, a big win. The Asian flavors were well pronounced and really hit the spot. I ate the whole thing... and it's a large sandwich. My dad got the same but hot sauce blue cheese mayo combo and greatly enjoyed it. My mom got the regular vegan burger and thought it was one of the best meals so far in Dublin. My boyfriend and sister got the chipotle mayo chicken tenders and also raved about them... they looked bomb and I'm sad I couldn't try! We also got an order of krewe fries for the table (no crispy onions), and one order was sufficient for all of us since the mains were quite large! The fries were crisp and not greasy and the chipotle aioli smacked. The server was so nice and brought out a free beignet bowl for us (which my dad and I couldn't eat) but the rest ate up quite happily. I did try the caramel sauce and yummm. Highly recommend !!

A restaurant and bar inspired by Cajun/Creole cuisine in Deep South of USA situated in Caple Street with rather hipster style decor. Came in on a Sunday evening for a quick bite before seeing a movie. Most tables had been occupied but the waiter was kind enough to let me order some smaller dishes while sitting on the drink bench. Had a pour of Eagle Rare 10Yrs bourbon and a cajun calamari. The calamari was surprisingly well made. Generous, juicy, and bouncy chunks wrapped in batter seasoned pleasantly with tongue-stinging but not overwhelming cajun style spices. The spicy remoulade sauce packed a lot of savory, sweet, and curry-ish flavor, went very well with the calamari. Overall, a very pleasant quick bite experience.

Literally just left... Mick who was the owner found us seats at the bar immediately and asked if we had any allergies.. I do have a gluten allergy. He went through the whole menu to show us what to get. Every thing was lovely! Our bartender walli? I hope I spelt that right was great, drinks were phenomenal and he was so personable. We even got a complementary dessert I could cry how happy I am and how hard it is to order real gluten free. Would 100% recommend

The food was unbelievably delicious and the service was amazing. We had the shrimp tacos, jambalaya and crispy grits. We also had a variety of drinks but my fave was the Dr John's--if you like strawberry this drink is for you. The crispy grits were a dish I will dream about in the future. We finished with the beignets and they were as tasty as could be with a caramel sauce and a chocolate sauc

Great ambiance NOLA vibes, great service, good drinks and super tasty food. Had a plate to share plenty of food for two people. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic!! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The cocktails are craft cocktail style drinks and reasonably priced with a fairly extensive cocktail list and very well balanced and executed. The food was fantastic as well and was a great price. Absolutely amazing and one of our favorite places in Dublin.

    Hurricane

As a New Orleans local, I stopped in for a drink and fell in love. A cute little spot with the perfect mix of New Orleans and Irish hospitality. Also, the only time I've ever tried a Hurricane outside of the city and had it taste just right. Patiently awaiting them to open a location in New Orleans.

Great service! They kept the kitchen open so that me and my family could eat! When we got there they were so quick and kind. The food was so amazing. I had the bang bang shrimp tacos and they were so good I couldn't get enough. We also had cocktails which were super creative and yummy! Overall loved it!! Would recommend

I was visiting Ireland for 3 weeks and am a huge foodie. I stumbled upon this place and went in for dinner and got there honey chicken with max and cheese. Litrally some of the best chicken I have ever had and that's a lot for an country american to say. Staff was so nice and timely even though it was packed both times we were there. The vibe is cute, trendy and the lighting is a vibe.

The food was really great and worth the hype. The prices were reasonable for the food, the drinks were very pricey and you didn't get that much. The service was excellent and the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance within the restaurant is New Orleans theme and is really cool and trendy. Great brunch spot with a nice vibe.

A new addition to Capel St serving up Cajun / Creole food. I had Hot Fire Chicken burger for my main. It was spicy and so juicy and tender. I chose to have the Beignets for dessert. In my view they could've done with a bit more powdered sugar if they really want to make you feel like you're in NOLA. I chose a glass of Portuguese vinho verde to have with it. The service was super friendly and chilled. Pretty close to a five but reserving that for a return visit to try a po'boy!!!

Mic is very generous and kind.

Usually, the dining room comprises an underground hideaway that is quite sleek and intimate. However, due to the lockdown measures, we had to do outdoor seating directly on William Street while we were there. The experience was still beautiful, thanks to the surrounding scenery. The cocktails were grand between the P61 Signature Cocktail and the Hugo -- both prosecco-based cocktails. The former was delicious between the peach puree and prosecco, while the latter was a little more tart with the elderflower cordial. For dinner, we kicked things off with gluten-free bread with a trio of dips that were quite tasty. The Tortellini I ordered was exquisite and scrumptious with how it was prepared between the goat cheese, asparagus, red onion, wilted spinach, cream sauce, and bacon. I applauded this lovely dish with the last bite. I devoured the warm almond flour brownie for dessert, served with chocolate sauce and gelato, which my wife could also enjoy since the dish was gluten-free. Overall, Platform 61 was a great way to conclude our second Irish journey. We will return, especially to enjoy the underground dining area.

For starters it was some of the worst service I have ever encountered and certainly the worst service for a Michelin Bib Gourmand. For starters my server was ill acquainted with the menu. She had no idea what the cheese foam was other than it was served in a bowl. She brought a wrong starter and insisted I ordered it when I did not. I ordered my steak to be medium it came rare. By the time my main entree had arrived I was exhausted from dealing with this rude, combative and surly individual. The plate of still mooing meat didn't help. I just asked to take it home. Nope, she said we don't pack anything to go. I asked for the manager at that point who pack up my meal and I was finally free to escape from restaurant hell. As for the food, Bread, Cheese foam, Argentinian Steak, It was average and overpriced. And all the bread was easily day old. One and done. Spare yourself the one and just be done.

My first thought was "who comes to Dublin to go to a wine bar?" but my first thought was totally wrong. I absolutely loved La Cava! It's such a cozy intimate restaurant. It gave me lots of West Village (NYC) vibes. Be careful when looking for the restaurant because you can walk right by it, It's a little place right off of Grafton St. It's also located downstairs! Such a hidden gem! We did the 3-course pre-fixe. The burrata was amazing, so fresh! The service was excellent. You were given plenty of time to enjoy your food without being rushed for the next course. The duck was perfect, and the lamb was delicious. For the dessert, the creme brulee was grand. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this restaurant. The prices were reasonable! I highly recommend having dinner here if you're in Dublin. Note, the restaurant is small, so you'll be sitting very close to other people. Personally, this didn't bother me, but some people might not love that. But be aware, that they don't accept AMEX!
