We ate at Krewe North for my wife's birthday .Upon entering you are welcomed by a classy interior with lit candles throughout the restaurant. The decor and music are great as well as the lighted artwork. We ordered bloody Mary's , the Fried chicken bisque , waffles and a side of scrambled eggs. The biscuit was a little dry and the sunny side egg was a little well done. The chicken was good as was the gray. The waffle were great as was the crispy bacon. Alex, the bartender made us bloody Mary's and took the time to make them from scratch. As a nice birthday surprise we surprised with and beignets and espresso martinis. Haven for those who are gluten free!! Almost everything on the menu can be gluten free, I cry. Yes we went to a NOLA inspired creole restaurant in Dublin... but we wanted something a little different than traditional pub food and this had options for everyone. All outside seating was taken but we were able to sit at a table by the window which was a great compromise! I got the gluten free fried chicken sandwich with the hot honey and slaw... dang this was so good. The chicken was crispy and there was a whole lot of it. The bun was soft and didn't crumble in my hands, a big win. The Asian flavors were well pronounced and really hit the spot. I ate the whole thing... and it's a large sandwich. My dad got the same but hot sauce blue cheese mayo combo and greatly enjoyed it. My mom got the regular vegan burger and thought it was one of the best meals so far in Dublin. My boyfriend and sister got the chipotle mayo chicken tenders and also raved about them... they looked bomb and I'm sad I couldn't try! We also got an order of krewe fries for the table (no crispy onions), and one order was sufficient for all of us since the mains were quite large! The fries were crisp and not greasy and the chipotle aioli smacked. The server was so nice and brought out a free beignet bowl for us (which my dad and I couldn't eat) but the rest ate up quite happily. I did try the caramel sauce and yummm. A restaurant and bar inspired by Cajun/Creole cuisine in Deep South of USA situated in Caple Street with rather hipster style decor. Came in on a Sunday evening for a quick bite before seeing a movie. Most tables had been occupied but the waiter was kind enough to let me order some smaller dishes while sitting on the drink bench. Had a pour of Eagle Rare 10Yrs bourbon and a cajun calamari. The calamari was surprisingly well made. Generous, juicy, and bouncy chunks wrapped in batter seasoned pleasantly with tongue-stinging but not overwhelming cajun style spices. We are from New Orleans and found Krewe on out last night in Dublin. What a great experience! They fit a six top in with only two hours notice. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was legit! We had Jambalaya, Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos, and fried chicken. We all raved about our dishes. The ambience was young and shirk. Lots of young couples on dates. Good food, the fried polenta balls were great. Blackened chicken very well cooked, not dry and very flavorful. Jambalaya well done, not too spicy, just the right amount :) A little slow service but if you have a nice conversation with your party wouldn't be a big issue. We were placed in the table by the windows that overlooks the kitchen and the red lighting coming from a sign on the wall is not pleasant at all, after a while it becomes uncomfortable. read more

A new addition to Capel St serving up Cajun / Creole food. I had Hot Fire Chicken burger for my main. It was spicy and so juicy and tender. I chose to have the Beignets for dessert. In my view they could've done with a bit more powdered sugar if they really want to make you feel like you're in NOLA. I chose a glass of Portuguese vinho verde to have with it. The service was super friendly and chilled. Pretty close to a five but reserving that for a return visit to try a po'boy!!! read more

This was not what I expected at all. We came across the restaurant by the recommendation of a local bartender. Krewe is amazing. The meals are beautifully prepared and presented. The seasoning and flavors are on par with the best meals I've ever experienced. Everything was top notch! All of the staff were amazing and made the experience a 10! Mic was very hospitable and we enjoyed our interaction with him. The Affogato was amazing and thank you again! If you find yourself in Dublin, get away from the tourist traps and find Krewe! While I gave a 3 I would be glad to go back and hopefully try another dish. My salmon was way overcooked and greasy. The fries were good and a nice setting with a good atmosphere and service. I will give it a 2nd try as salmon probably wasn't a smart choice. read more

I myself live in Dublin, and invited my friends up for a nice meal and a good night out. I was recommended Krewe in the past and thought I would like to try it out. I booked the reservation for 6:30pm and had to change it till a later time , which was absolutely no issue whatsoever. Upon arrival, our temperatures were checked which I appreciated due to the dedication to keeping customers safe. The reason however, that I was urged to write this review , was due to the incredible waiting staff, in particular a girl named Roberta. She was outstandingly friendly and helpful throughout our night and made constant conversation during our meal to make sure we were content and happy with our experience. To put the cherry on the cake, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was incomparable. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to dine in Dublin. read more
