Great place to hang out and enjoy some tasty late-night bites. The wraps are well constructed and bites of flavor. The fajitas are also well executed and thoughtfully presented. The menu is a bit out there, but accessible to the open-minded.

I can only review as a bar as I ain't eaten here…read more.. As a bar it is decent, seems a bit rough about the edges in a dive bar type of way, but the clientele usually are ok and the atmosphere always seems pleasant enough. It's got a lot going on, In that there is a club down stairs, food is served upstairs and there is also a lot of focus on it just being a pub. I've been a good few times and it's usually mobbed. I think that's partly because there ain't any other decent pubs on queen street (that I can think of) and it means everyone heads here. In other areas it might not be my first destination, but where it is it ranks quite highly amongst the places I would stop for a pint if passing. Sometimes it even has some unusual bottles of craft beer hidden in the fridges which is always a good thing. Could be a three on anther street, but a better option on queen street, so I will go with a positive 4 stars.

We ordered the jerk chicken starter and the chicken wings to start, both were really tasty and a great size for a starter. We then both had fish tacos for main course, considering these are £10.95 on the normal menu these were definitely worthy the money. The fish was perfectly cooked and came with the right amount of avocado on top. We also ordered a portion of fries to share, which where skinny chips, and agin really tasty. The deserts were an additional £3 extra and the cheesecake was definitely worth a try. The service was great and the girl left us to chat after desert before asking if we needed the bill. For the choice on the pre-theatre I would definitely go back and try the others!

Looking through the cocktail menu, THEY HAVE SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM. I'll definitely be coming back soon. As it was a really warm day (and I love ginger beer) I opted for a Shirley Temple mocktail which was so refreshing - exactly what I needed. Food wise, we ordered the Ultimate Sharing Platter which came with onion rings, stuffed potato skins, BBQ chicken wings and nachos, served with a selection of dips. Everything was cooked perfectly and we loved everything. Definitely no complaints. For £15.50, it is excellent value. Staff were friendly and really attentive, providing water for the table and making sure we were looked after. We had a look at the dessert menu (I was tempted by the Key Lime Pie) but we were so full from the platter we decided to give it a miss. Will definitely be back for cocktails soon!

So close to 5 stars you can almost taste it ... like the ridiculously good grilled chicken burger I…read morehad here. Oh, and the cajun fries?! Get the cajun fries. Dennistoun BBQ does super casual dining really well. You order at the counter and wait around 10-15 minutes (maybe longer if its super busy) and then they'll shout your name so you can grab your food. I have very specific taste in beef burger so more often than not, I start with a chicken burger at a new place before trying a beef one - I think chicken is generally done better than beef. This chicken burger was RIDICULOUS in size, it was mostly all hanging out of the bun as it was so big. Am I complaining? No way, it was absolutely delicious and had that juicy, smoky freshness from grilled chicken that so many places screw up by overcooking. It was hard to eat though so I ended up just aiming on eating the fillet rather than the burger. I tried a couple of sides; cajun fries and mac cheese. The cajun fries are amazing and probably the best I can remember eating in Glasgow. There was just the right amount of seasoning and they packed a good punch. You know what makes Cajun fries even better? Dipping them into mac cheese. Oh yeh, I went there and I'm not ashamed. My friend Sharon M wasn't all that impressed with the mac cheese but she is pretty judgemental (I mean that as a compliment, she makes a damn amazing mac cheese) - personally, I liked it. It was cheesy, the mac was cooked just right. Simple, and good. This isn't the kind of place to eat and then sit about chatting with your pals, so we headed up the road for dessert. I'll be back sooner rather than later for more of that ridiculous chicken. They also do takeaway - phone in your order so you don't have to wait too long as it was really busy on a Friday night. I understand why.

Nic's made my daughter a box of beautifully decorated donuts for her birthday that she was able to pick up on her way to class the morning of her birthday. The staff at Nic's were super helpful and even allowed my daughter to pick up the surprise baked goods at 9:15 when they only opened at 10 AM. And she reported that they were delicious! I was able to order, prepay, etc. - super easy! Thanks so much Nic's for making my daughters abroad birthday so special!

I'm a massive fan (see previous review of their St Enoch Square branch) but the only day I can make it to Nic's is a Saturday due to their opening hours and me working relatively far away. So when I heard their new establishment would be open til 11pm, 7 days a week, I was pretty excited to say the least! It's so great that the Nic's concept has really taken off, especially since most new places in Glasgow seem to be massive chain burger joints these days!!! For those who might not be aware, Nic's NYC Deli is just that. They serve glorious pressed sandwiches with delicious flavour combos, hot dogs, taco bowls and pancakes among other tasty offerings - like their amaaaazing doughnuts and American goodies such as Twinkies (which I definitely want to try at some point, just because!) This branch also has the extra addition of crepes (sweet and savoury!) so those who frequented this place as a Crêpe à Croissant can still get their fix. There's always the worry that another branch won't quite have the same feel as the one you're used to, but I'm happy to report that this definitely isn't the case with this one. I absolutely adore the decor, it's really cool without looking like it's trying too hard and the whole place looks fab! As for the food, it is as delicious as ever! The bf opted for a chili dog last night as he hadn't tried their hot dogs at all yet, and he absolutely scarfed it down, totally loved it. I got their LA Club Lite (chicken, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and either chipotle or dijon mayo) since I hadn't had that one yet and I flipping love avocado and bacon together. It was brilliant, the bacon was done extremely well which I love, and their ciabatta bread is very tasty indeed. We were gonna get some doughnuts to take away, but our server offered us a free one each since they've just opened! Result!! I've got a Snickernut sitting in its wee bag under my desk right now, but since it's lunchtime I have a feeling it might disappear fairly soon... What more can I say? The staff are great, the food is great, the prices are great too - I think all in we paid about £12 for our food and a drink each which, for the quality and size of everything is pretty darn good! It's extremely reassuring to know that if I feel the need for a Nic's I can just pop along and get one...the downside being this might happen far too frequently from now on!!!
