It's a weird concept for ordering. You go in and then get seated or have to wait for a table. Then someone shows you over the menu and tells you to order at the counter. But then the food is brought to your table. Very confusing but so what. We came in on a Saturday evening and had to wait 15 minutes. After we ordered our food was there within 10 minutes. But now to the food... The chicken is good, I had the mango&lime and the marinade was great. The chicken was tender but still a little room for improvement. The fries were cut thick and where very soft. Some people like it while some won't like it. Overall it's a cool place to eat but I don't think it's worth all the hype.

In all my time in Glasgow there are many places that l have still try or go to, Nando's was one of them. Stopped by for lunch and not knowing the concept it was explained simply by the server Scott, all the staff that l met where polite and welcoming. I sometimes like to see what others have ordered to maybe tempt me to buy that dish, but from my position everyone's back was towards me and saw nothing. I do like the design and layout of the restaurant makes it look simple. A bit like JD Weatherspoon where you receive a menu and order and pay at the bar quoting the table number, the only problem with that is the queue goes through the dining area as there is only one person at the till, making the self service drinks dispenser impossible to get to. For my order l chose the double chicken breast burger a side of peri peri fries and coleslaw had to send back the chicken burger due to it not being at the right temperature the chicken was served Luke warm, with the replacement not being that warm either. I would recommend going at the beginning of the week as it would be less busy.

Another great experience here at Nando's. i'm so glad I finally decided to eat here, and even more glad that I have friends who also have a love for Nandos. The concept is pretty simple. You're seated at a table with a number and handed menus. Once you've decided on what to order, you head to the till and place your order, mentioning your table number. You grab a glass, fill it up with drink and grab your cutlery and whatever sauces you fancy out of the at least 10 they offer for your table. Once your order is ready, the food is brought to your table and you're good to go. My most recent trip here, was, again, with a few friends of mine who love some Nando's. I ended up (after being told the 1/4 chicken was only ONE piece of chicken, ie. a drumstick or a wing, etc.) ordering a half chicken, which, to my shock was literally half a bird sitting on my plate. No complaints really, because I polished it off like it was my job, but I would have felt more like a lady rather than a caveman eating a smaller portion. One of my friends ordered the 1/4 chicken (blast!!) and another ordered a chicken sandwich. All came with sides, I opted for the rice and cole slaw, where my friends opted for chips. This particular location is awesome, bright, and huge. The windows are from floor to ceiling and lots of natural light is able to get in. We got in just before the lunch rush and thankfully so, as the place gets pretty busy pretty quickly. I really enjoyed my lunch here and will be back many times, I'm sure.

How can you not love a cheeky Nandos once a while! It was ages since last time i had it, so yesterday after gym my boyfriend and i decided to pop in and have something to eat (we also had the red rewards on our Nandos card = free full chicken, yay!). I particularly love the interior of the restaurant in Sauchiehall Street, it is so original and different from any other places. Staff were nice and attentive and as always i enjoyed the atmosphere and the music. We had a light dinner and shared the whole chicken between the two of us, and then had a side each (he went for chips, i went for the sweet potato wedges). Next time i will try something from the new menu, there are a few healthy additions which seem really nice!

New salad dressing! Tastes like pakora sauce hahaha

I'm on vacation here in Scotland and when I spotted the Nando's last night, I knew I had to have it again before I left Glasgow.

These burgers are a bit pricey for their size but are loaded up with amazing, unique ingredients that definitely make this place stand out. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had, honestly. Would have been nice if we could have specified how we wanted the burgers cooked but that's apparently a restriction put on all Scottish restaurants. The restaurant itself is very small, limited seating so might be best to take out!

(My previous review is for a wing pop up he did). Thanks to Austen, Trudie, Pammi & Ally, I had the inside scoop of which burger to order - they all said the Top Dog was the best. I was a little confused as I assumed that was a hot dog but nope, it's a burger. What's in it? Beef patty, double bacon, bone marrow, Roquefort butter, caramelized onion and black truffle mayo on the side. And it came with chips. There was a bit of a wait but we were drinking with friends so weren't too bothered. The burgers were nicely presented on a tray with the chips in a pot. Excellent chips and I really liked the black truffle mayo. The burger was obviously the highlight though - it was totally delicious. I actually don't eat too many beef burgers these days as I find a lot of them are overcooked and bland but this was heaven - perfectly cooked meat (rare) and the Roquefort was just the perfect match as it really gave the burger a punch. The combination of flavours was just perfect for me and I really enjoyed it. I've had some good burgers in my time and I really do mean it when I say this is right up there at the top. My only negative comment is really the pricing - £13.50 for a burger and chips is pretty hefty but I can also understand why as this is a special pop up burger which tastes amazing and obviously uses quality product. For me, I wouldn't have this burger every day but as a special occasion treat, hell yes.

The theme inside was kinda surprising. It had a lot of movie and tv references, the most prominent being Star Wars. We also watched someone try their heat challenge. I'll just say I felt bad for the guy. We asked the waitress afterwards and she said not many pass. Most fail after 2-3 wings. Their normal heat selection goes from 1-8, but their heat challenge goes up to 11. For our food, I tried the Margarita wings, located in their "boozy" section. I really enjoyed these as they had a lot of flavor. I also got a side of mac and cheese, and chose chipuffalo sauce - a combo of chipotle and buffalo - it added a great flavor to the mac and cheese with just the right amoumt of heat. The other wings I tried were the Bit of French, which is garlic pepper flavored. It was actually really bland. I ended up dipping them into the remaining chipuffalo sauce. The restaurant is in a lot of stone, so you get almost no cell service. Just an FYI.

The fact that it is always busy, but you don't wait long to be served or to receive your food, is always a good sign in itself. Furthermore, the takeaway is a firm favorite among the locals aswell as those from outside Pollockshields, which is always another good sign. Whenever I'm in Pollockshields for a bit of Asian grocery shopping, I always make the now customary visit here. There are no seats, but the food is as authentic Pakistani as you will see. This combined with excellent, polite service and excellent food make this place so popular. A favourite is the samosas - triangular pastries stuffed with seasoned lamb mince and potatoes. The all important mince-potato ratio is perfect and these never fail to disappoint. Or you can try the Chapli Kebab - traditional patties which are made from ground seasoned mince, picture a large flattened burger. Slightly spicy, but delicious and very filling. The Chicken Hut Pollockshields, not to be confused for the Chicken Hut in Govanhill, also invented the kebab roll - a Seekh Kebab completely wrapped in a strip of home made pastry before being baked in the oven. The result is amazing, especially with some kebab or mint yoghurt sauce! Another of my favourites is the chicken fillet burger. This simple item is so often overlooked with so many other takeaways, not only in Glasgow but in Scotland, as they tend to use the pre made frozen chicken burgers, rather than preparing a fresh chicken breast fillet. These never disappoint either and the chicken fillet burgers are very morish. I always get mine with salad, mayonnaise a touch of ketchup and a cheese slice. I have not tried the pizzas or the curries, because the samosas and kebabs always take priority! They also do wraps, hoagies, onion rings, and other standard takeaway munch. I would honestly go as far as suggesting that this is the best takeaway I have been to in Pollockshields, if not the wider Glasgow area. The food is very simple but delicious, and the prices are also very modest. 2 Chapli kebabs, 2 seekh kebab rolls and 2 samosas will cost around £6, including sauce and salad. Well worth every penny. So if you're ever in the area, try it.
