While this is a relatively wee deli, it has quite a good amount of speciality food stocked, from Scottish products and fresh organic bread from Tapa in Dennistoun to dry and preserved goods from the continent. There's a wee cheese/meat/olives/salads counter, and I can say without a doubt that the Brie they have in is first-rate stuff. The coffee here is first-rate. The owner makes all the drinks, and he must know what he's about, because the espresso is fabulous, with a lovely roast. They also do daily specials in sandwiches and soup, usually containing the same products they sell. I've not had anything to eat in yet, but there's a counter and a couple of tables to sit at, should you want to. And, on top of all that, the prices are pretty reasonable (within deli standards), and the whole place is cheery and tidy. All in all, it's good to see an indie deli in this part of town, as Mount Florida's not got any others. To have it be a good one is even better!

We had a table booked for 7:30, and we arrived about 10 minutes early. The staff asked us to take a seat in the bar area and we would be escorted to our table shortly. We then waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drinks orders, and another 5 for us to be taken to our table so we weren't actually seated until 7:40. Not a great start. A member of staff came over and explained the procedure: staff would come round with the different cuts of meat for us to try, it was all you can eat and when you can't eat any more, you flip a sign so they know to stop bringing you food. I headed over to the 'salad' bar to grab some sides, but most of the sides were stews, risottos and quite heavy dishes. I tried some of the pork stew, which was lovely, and grabbed some traditional Brazilian cheese rolls which were so moreish. There are 15 different meats to try, and we were determined to sample every one. We had been told that the meat was served medium rare, but I found that most of the beef either came totally rare, or very well done. There was no inbetween. The roast gammon was probably my favourite - it was salty, smokey and delicious. I wasn't really wowed by any of the other meats, although I didn't sample the Chicken Hearts - that was a bit much for me! For the full rodizio, which includes the salad bar and all the meat, it cost £24.95 per person. It's fair that by the end of it, you are ridiculously full and there is a novelty element to the meat being carved right at your table, but it seemed a bit much to me. The staff were very chatty and friendly, and often checked which meats you hadn't tried yet so they could get them over to you, I just found it all a bit lack-lustre. I don't think I would go rushing back, but I'm glad I experienced it.

I remember liking it, but that was before I got involved in Yelp and before I started to automatically rate and compare food establishments and tastes & flavors in my head. I'm on vacation here in Scotland and when I spotted the Nando's last night, I knew I had to have it again before I left Glasgow. Nando's is known for their peri-peri chicken, which is chicken cooked in a base/marinade/sauce made from piri piri chilis from Africa and other spices & ingredients. I ordered the Fino Pitta, which is a toasted pita filled with boneless grilled chicken at your choice of spiciness level, halloumi cheese, caramelized red onion relish, and garlic aioli. And of course I picked the Extra Hot peri-peri level of spiciness (the hottest spice level available). My pita sandwich was good. The chicken was perfectly tender and the flavoring from the chicken combined with the garlic aioli complimented each other well. P.s. my food was definitely messy though. Not giving 5 stars because service could still use some improvement.
