While this is a relatively wee deli, it has quite a good amount of speciality food stocked, from Scottish products and fresh organic bread from Tapa in Dennistoun to dry and preserved goods from the continent. There's a wee cheese/meat/olives/salads counter, and I can say without a doubt that the Brie they have in is first-rate stuff. The coffee here is first-rate. The owner makes all the drinks, and he must know what he's about, because the espresso is fabulous, with a lovely roast. They also do daily specials in sandwiches and soup, usually containing the same products they sell. I've not had anything to eat in yet, but there's a counter and a couple of tables to sit at, should you want to. And, on top of all that, the prices are pretty reasonable (within deli standards), and the whole place is cheery and tidy. All in all, it's good to see an indie deli in this part of town, as Mount Florida's not got any others. To have it be a good one is even better!

Once we were sat it was 18 mins before any server came over to ask about drinks. The salad bar area was in disarray. Options looked like bad cafeteria food. Now the meats. We had a table booked for 7:30, and we arrived about 10 minutes early. The staff asked us to take a seat in the bar area and we would be escorted to our table shortly. We then waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drinks orders, and another 5 for us to be taken to our table so we weren't actually seated until 7:40. Not a great start. A member of staff came over and explained the procedure: staff would come round with the different cuts of meat for us to try, it was all you can eat and when you can't eat any more, you flip a sign so they know to stop bringing you food. I headed over to the 'salad' bar to grab some sides, but most of the sides were stews, risottos and quite heavy dishes. I tried some of the pork stew, which was lovely, and grabbed some traditional Brazilian cheese rolls which were so moreish. There are 15 different meats to try, and we were determined to sample every one. We had been told that the meat was served medium rare, but I found that most of the beef either came totally rare, or very well done. There was no inbetween. The roast gammon was probably my favourite - it was salty, smokey and delicious. I wasn't really wowed by any of the other meats, although I didn't sample the Chicken Hearts - that was a bit much for me! For the full rodizio, which includes the salad bar and all the meat, it cost £24.95 per person. It's fair that by the end of it, you are ridiculously full and there is a novelty element to the meat being carved right at your table, but it seemed a bit much to me. The staff were very chatty and friendly, and often checked which meats you hadn't tried yet so they could get them over to you, I just found it all a bit lack-lustre. I don't think I would go rushing back, but I'm glad I experienced it.

To the point where the manager(Portuguese guy) knew what I wanted to get every time I walked in. They would legit start preparing it and he'd bring me my drink. Amazing atmosphere and amazing food. Those lunch special pastas are freaking amazing too, 6 quid for a carbonara(they've now gone up to 6.95), all the varieties of pizzas and tapas. If you're in the west end, you need to try this restaurant. It remains my favourite Italian place and my favourite restaurant. Ever.

They do deliver your food to your table when it is done would you get your own silverware water, soda, and soda, refills and soft serve ice cream and complete array of every sauce you can imagine.. And of course I picked the Extra Hot peri-peri level of spiciness (the hottest spice level available). My pita sandwich was good. The chicken was perfectly tender and the flavoring from the chicken combined with the garlic aioli complimented each other well. P.s. my food was definitely messy though. Seated straight away, we arrived about half 6 on a Monday night so I wouldn't expect a wait and it was fairly quiet. I had a half chicken extra hot with piri chips and garlic bread. Garlic bread probably my least favourite side but it's been a while since I had it and it still is nice. Been a while since I've had a nandos so the extra hot was hard to take. But I triumphed in the end and enjoyed every minute of it. Delicious as ever, the consistency of nandos is great,they have a simple formula and they do it well. The piri chips are a must youre mad if you don't make that one of your sides. Nandos has steadily gone up in price and isn't as good value for money as it once was. But it still is cheaper than most place and when the chicken quality is as good as it is you can complain. I was a little confused as I assumed that was a hot dog but nope, it's a burger. What's in it? Beef patty, double bacon, bone marrow, Roquefort butter, caramelized onion and black truffle mayo on the side. And it came with chips. There was a bit of a wait but we were drinking with friends so weren't too bothered. The burgers were nicely presented on a tray with the chips in a pot. Excellent chips and I really liked the black truffle mayo. The burger was obviously the highlight though - it was totally delicious. I actually don't eat too many beef burgers these days as I find a lot of them are overcooked and bland but this was heaven - perfectly cooked meat (rare) and the Roquefort was just the perfect match as it really gave the burger a punch. The combination of flavours was just perfect for me and I really enjoyed it. I've had some good burgers in my time and I really do mean it when I say this is right up there at the top. My only negative comment is really the pricing - £13.50 for a burger and chips is pretty hefty but I can also understand why as this is a special pop up burger which tastes amazing and obviously uses quality product. For me, I wouldn't have this burger every day but as a special occasion treat, hell yes.
