    Wings and Chips.

I was intrigued by all the flavors they offered here, so came by with my friend on a Tuesday evening. Unfortunately, there was a 2 hour wait without reservations. Even though I could give this place 4 stars, the wait really made it not worth it at all. I never thought a place like this would need reservations, but here I was making one for the following Saturday to ensure we get seated. If you can, make sure you make reservations by phone only! On our visit here, you walk into a space that reminds me of a dive bar filled with a lot of quirky character from the wall decors and wooden fixtures. Since my friend and I were starving, we ordered six flavors of wings (£4.50 for 6pcs), Chips (£3) plus Cheese Dip (£1) and Ranch (£1). Since we had already been drinking, we also each got a Strawberry Lime Cider (£4.50), which was sweet and tasty. While the wings were crispy, it was also a bit tough. Due to this, the dry seasoning did not help with the texture at all. I did enjoy most of the sauces from the best to least favorite of our choices: Stevie (random pick, which was curry flavored), Tie Fighter (thai chili sauce), Gene Parmesan (garlic parmesan caesar), Imperial Tiger (sweet buffalo bbq), Bango (mango spicy), and Whiskey Pepper (dry whiskey pepper seasoning). I have to admit that the flavors sounded better than it actually tasted, but I enjoyed all the variety nonetheless --which can be a blessing or curse if you're indecisive). In addition, all the flavors started to blend and it was difficult to tell which flavor I was eating from all the choices. Even though the two of us finished all of our food, we probably could've only had 2 orders each instead. We left completed bloated from all the wings we stuffed ourselves with. Cool, divey spot for an incredible variety of flavors but definitely make reservations to avoid the wait.

Let me start out by saying the prices are good here. I drank a juice and because of that managed to get out under £6! Thats awesome especially for a city. Now in terms of a quick bite to eat on the cheap this fits the bill. The place has skater and pop culture art everywhere and little white walls can be seen. Also no wifi and its underground so no service either! Huge disappoint. Wifi is not expensive especially for such a small shop for a place like this. So if you're eating alone beware! The Food Well nothing special, and for less then 5£ for some wings or nuggets it works but its nothing special and they certainly aren't that good of wings by any means. I would even contend that a frozen store bought set of wings could contest them. The biggest problem I had with them was that they were just drowning in sauce, far too much sauce. The sauce I ordered was called Canadian Reserve and was described as a maple bbq flavour. The server even recommended it over the whiskey which isn't a small bit of whiskey cooked into the meat but rather straight cheap whiskey poured over the already cooked wings (servers words). Now this sauce which was not indicated to be spicy had quite a kick and not a hint of maple at all! I was really looking forward to this place and that sauce after reading other reviews. It was an unfortunate shame. The staff was bare bones. They werent rude but they werent enthusiastic or cheerful or welcoming by any means either, sort of didnt care. I like to think that this was an isolated experience as it was at a slow time so perhaps they were just bored but still. I would appreciate some attempt at interaction or enthusiasm, it really would add a LOT to the food experience. Overall if you need something cool for as cheap as possible and are with a few people then this is ok. But nothing to write home about, and not going to be the best food by any means and it is WITHOUT WIFI.

This place is probably the most amazing bar I've ever been to. I am an America tourist and my sister recommended this place off of reddit, and it far exceeded my expectations. It is a dive bar with amazing themed decorations, music, and good wings (as it's namesake suggests). The service was polite, friendly, and quick and my sister and I loved the wings. We got the bartenders recommendation which was a delicious honey-bbq blend. I also got an amazing alcoholic milkshake and a few other drinks (cocktails) as well. Affordable, fun, and a great night out. A must visit if I return to Edinburgh.

My husband and I visited from the US over a year and a half ago and I still wake up thinking about these wings. Some of the best we've ever had. Vibe was great, everything was moderately priced and we can't wait to get back on our next trip. Definitely a must-try if you're in Edinburgh and hold wings in high regard.

This place was pretty cool! I was walking around during Fringe 2019 and asked a random tourist a cool spot to eat some casual food and they recommended Wings! Once we found the place we were able to be seated immediately. Our waitress was rather forgetful but she always apologized. The food tasted so good and they have a million options- if you like chicken then you will LOVE it here. The decor will keep your brain busy while you wait for your food. It's definitely worth it to play iSpy on the Cartoon Network wall which I wished I would have taken a picture of. Guess this means I'll have to go back!

This is what I have been waiting for!!! Finally chicken wings in Edinburgh!! I am a huge fan of chicken wings. Chicken wings and beer - what a perfect combination. I grew up Niagara Falls, Canada just a stones throw away from Buffalo, New York where 'buffalo wings' were created. In North America, it's very typical to go out for beer and wings. Or to go out and enjoy all-you-can-eat wings. This is one thing I have greatly missed since moving here and I am SO glad that this place finally exists in Edinburgh. Wings gives it to you straight up. It's just wings and beer. Oh and chips but you don't want chips - you come here for the wings. They have over 40 different flavours of sauces/dry rubs. I came on Friday night with my partner and we tried seven of the forty. It's 3 pounds for 6 wings. My favourites: Julius the Hot (caesar and Frank's red hot dressing), No big dill (dill and a white cream type dressing), and another one that was essentially a cheesy creamy cheese with FRESH* jalapenos. We also tried the a super hot flavour that's mixed with maple syrup. It was tasty. They have 'suicide' flavour - 11 people out of 65 were able to eat them. If you can handle some heat I urge you to try it out! These wings are deep fried, American, buffalo wing style. They are perfect. This is a great place to come with friends before heading out. Like Kristin C. noted below, this isn't a date spot. It's located in the basement of Mariachi's. There are two people who work here, the cook and the server. The server is Canadian and super friendly! You'll wake up the next morning and your fingers will smell like chicken wings (but that's fine). They do all-you-can-eat on Sundays for 10 pounds. Who knows I might be back today! This is my new favourite place in Edinburgh. That's all. ------- *I love when restaurants use fresh jalapenos.

Orders: one tiger sauce wings + one new worlder + 2 Apple juices Fee: £ 9.90 Waiting time: 5mins Taste: the tiger sauce is a little spicy that I can handle. But the taste of pepper I don't like it. And the new worlder wings are sweet. The chef fired the skin to make the wing taste good. I think he used maple honey. The wings don't have too much oil, which means they are dry. The first bite is a little hard. But, I love to try in next time. Atmosphere: the whole eating area is big, and divided into different theme. I have to see that is awesome. If you are a game player, you can play computer games with your wings. Other direction are so cool. I think it is good to be a group friend for relaxing. But, for the best seat, better book reservation.

    My favourite table at Wings!

Wings wings wings wings wings - does what it says on the tin... well, on the shop name! The concept is simple - £3.50 gets you a bowl with 6 chicken wings in it, plus the seasoning or sauce of your choice from the menu. You can go dry (I liked salt and lemon), sticky BBQ (the one with maple syrup in it is obviously the best) or even a bit off-beat (I'm hoping to try the margarita flavour soon). Along with your wings you can have some simple sides (can't go wrong with chips, and Wings make good chips), and a good selection of drinks. The environment is very informal and properly quirky (not in a "oh, I'm so mad me" type way) - I was in there early February and they've got a Star Wars Christmas tree with two AT-ATs behaving 'inappropriately' in front of it. Add in some friendly staff and you can see why Yelpers keep going back to Wings

    Yep.

I think it is important for us to include in the review if the establishment is halal as we also have a lot of Muslim Yelpers and friends who would love to know that and we can help them in selecting restaurant. Zuhus has a menu very much like Nando's. Or shall I say 'exactly' like Nando's. It's basically mainly peri peri based chicken, burgers and wraps. I came here twice but only had the peri peri chicken. The guy who served me was very accommodating. I ordered half a chicken but with 2 quarter chicken legs and he gave it to me. The taste of he chicken was up to scratch and the meat itself was juicy and tender. The size of the chicken I believe is slightly bigger than what Nando's is serving, which is of course a value for money. They have won my points on all aspects on value, taste and portion. However, they have lost my point on creativity and originality. This place is an exact replica of Nando's. From the menu, sauce and the bottle for the sauce (tall rectangular bottle). Why can't they come up with something more original? I would still recommend people to come here and definitely be back again myself.

Personally, I would advise caution when venturing away from the chicken, as you are not assured of what you may actually get. Upon ordering a fish supper, I was provided with a thin morsel reminiscent with what I expect to find dished out during school dinners or to be found in the frozen section of Farmfoods. To rub salt into the wound, the chips were very thin and undercooked. Perhaps I am being unfair given the price range. Eshas offers a number of deals, presented on their front window, including at one point a 10 inch margarita pizza for £1.99! (although I believe this deal has since ceased). Overall, this place is perfect for the hungry student venturing back from a booze up seeking something with a high grease content, but if your seeking something with a bit more quality to constitute as an actual meal, it may be best to look elsewhere.

Esha's menu is incredibly diverse, offering dishes such as pizzas, burgers, curries and baked potatoes. I came to Esha's for dinner several months ago with a friend to buy a pizza and we had the ham and mushroom which was absolutely nothing to rave about. The mushrooms were really soft and appeared to have dissolved into the topping mixture, and the pizza base was quite soggy and burnt in places - not nice. My friend also ordered a portion of chips which were a far cry from the traditional Scottish chips we were expecting - these looked as though they had come from a frozen packet, and not a good one at that. The prices are very reasonable and a 15% student discount is available. You are able to order your meals online at Esha's website and they also offer a home delivery service which is convenient. The staff are friendly, and perhaps some of their other dishes are tastier than the pizza which I had.

The food, while edible, is so greasy you could swim in it--this is not a meal you will sit back afterward with a satisfied smile.
