This spot would have gotten 4 stars, but I docked an extra one because the bathrooms were downstairs (not very accessible), very cramped, and out of supplies.
Otherwise, this spot reminded me of some fast food pizza spots at home. We ordered pepperoni pizza and some fries (chips I guess since it's the UK) with spicy seasoning. The chips were well cooked- not too soggy but nice and crispy and the seasoning we got on the side added a nice kick for a little something extra.
The pizza was just the right size as we weren't too hungry. On a good day the individual one could probably be handled by one person since the crust is not too thick, but is good for sharing if you only want a lite bite. We opted for the halal pepperoni and it was good, though the pizza ended up being quite greasy. I'm that person that usually makes fun of people who paper towel dab their pizza- I mean, it's not meant to be healthy, live a little! But in this case, I also became a dabbed as the grease was just too much for me to justify (tasty as it may be!)
I'm always happy to find spots with halal options, it makes it easier when out with people of a variety of backgrounds so that was good, and I also like the piri piri chicken options they have.
Honestly, the price was right and it was conveniently located! read more
