Overall it is a very mid experience. Took my wife thinking we can get the best of both worlds with KBBQ and Hotpot and they do neither one especially well. Feel like they should pick one and focus on doing it well. Been to multiple hot pot and KBBQ around the area EJ this is by far the bottom of the list for me in both categories. I did like the sauce bar that they offer which is different from other places. My other complaint is them asking for tip at the end of the evening. There are no servers, I make my own sauce, order my own food via an iPad, cook my own food...who am I tipping? Was surprised that I didn't have to go to the kitchen to grab my food as well. This location is absolutely phenomenal! We do not have a lot of hot pot or KBBQ in our area so we are very grateful we visited. No need to drive all the way out to Asian Town anymore when we have KPOT only 10 minutes from my house! Not only was the meat, broth, and sides extremely flavorful, but our server Huy was the greatest! When you come, make sure to ask for server Huy. First time ever at K Pot and it was such a great experience. The beef tongue and Angus steak were the best! So flavorful and sample sized, so we got to try things we haven't before. We just did the bbq this time but will definately try the hot pot next time. The sauce bar was great way to try new flavors and the kimchi was a bonus. Very friendly wait staff and hostess. We've been to KPOT in Webster three times, and our third visit was the first time a server mentioned the "spend $50, get a plush" deal, even though we spent well over $50 each time. A huge thanks to our server, Tran--she was amazing! She kept our table clutter-free and was always attentive. Both lunch and dinner are well-priced, but I highly recommend dinner for the better protein options. The buffet-style sauces and sides are great, especially the kimchi. I've only tried the hot pot, but the quality is so good that I'm sure the Korean BBQ is just as excellent! Let's talk about K-Pot Webster This was our very first time dining at any K-Pot establishment. To be honest, I had heard mixed reviews but wanted to decide for myself as a lover of hot pot. With that said, I want to separate the "experience" from the dining. I STRONGLY believe, the consciousness of this restaurant is lacking and best practices are not being followed. There are some health code violations that also need addressed. Let me explain below. When we walked in, we were immediately taken back with the beautiful ambiance. I noticed right away that only one side of the restaurant was seated, but figured this was typical given it was only 5:30 PM. We told the hostess this was our first time, and she seated us at what I call the "back room" that felt more like a staff area. There were 3 additional tables in this room, with us being the only one sitting in this area. The very first red flag was the location of the table. Directly behind us is a storage area with mixed cutlery, dishes, towels, unmarked liquids and grills. As we were seated, we noticed two Bud Light buckets on the floor catching a leak from the ceiling. We were immediately greeted by our phenomenal waiter and ordered drinks before we could really absorb the area. In the next few minutes, multiple staff members came behind our table to stack plates, grab supplies, restock silverware etc. This began to seriously affect the visit as it felt more like we were dining in a kitchen than in a restaurant. In just a few minutes, the noise became so loud, I began to get frustrated. About that time, two more guests attempted to be seated in our area. They took one look at the Bud Light buckets and told the hostess "We are not sitting here." At that moment, I also requested to move. I told the hostess, "No one should be seated to dine back here, ever." We ended up moving into the main dining area, in the "unseated section" however, we were told that my guest and I would need to sit side by side at the table due to the air conditioning leaking on the adjacent bench. Apparently, this is a norm for what looked to be at least 4 tables and white hand towels were kept nearby for the staff to constantly wipe seats down. We did keep our original waiter which we were grateful for. Putting the experience aside, we did enjoy the food and drinks. Everything was served quickly, and tasted fresh. We did not utilize the sauce bar although there seemed to be lots of choices. Overall, this place definitely needs some mindfulness training, product rearranging and some AC repairs... read more

But this place is horrible, service is terrible, I asked the server if any of the broths were pork base since I don't eat pork. And he knew nothing went to go ask. Came back 15 minutes later with no response as he forgot to ask so he went off again to try an ask, I had to ask other servers and no one really knew what they're selling. After we started ordering my husband ordered a beer and server forgot to bring it. Got the beer 26minutes later. We had a larger party and were seated quickly. The wait staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant itself was very cool on the inside. My main complaint is the food, unfortunately. They didn't offer the rice noodles I get when doing hot pot, and the closest was ramen and wasn't very good. Their self-service bar area for sauces and sides was a pain to navigate because you have to reach pretty far back for sauce, and spill a lot on the way out if you're not careful. I also didn't find the broth very good. I got the Szechuan Pepper base. It's very hot, which I wanted. But the taste was ONLY heat. It was a bit overpowering. We also got the Korean BBQ. It was my first time trying it and all the meat was way too sweet. That was echoed amongst the table. Overall: great staff and atmosphere, but for $110 for 2 people (on my ticket: 2 hot pot dinners with bbq, 1 soda, tip), it was a bit steep when we're used to going to Go Shabu down the freeway for $75 and much better food. We decided to stop by with our 3 year old. It could be when we came but the service was fast and very responsive. It was about 2pm on Sunday. Our server kept coming back and asking about us (in a good way) and he was giving out high fives and peek a bo with our son when coming by. He really didn't need to but the extra was great and our son loved it. The food was really good. We did hot pot and bbq and it was pricey but all you can eat. The best was the short rib and spicy chicken. Our son is very picky but ate some popcorn chicken and noodles. The korean soup was spicy but I love that and it was delicious. I love the idea of this place but service was terrible. Upon walking in the host stand is directly next to the bar and very crowded. The host flashes the menu and asks if you want hot pot or bbq and you have to answer before being seated. For a brand new location I would have liked to sit down and review my options before deciding. Reviews from other locations imply that you get to pick your vegetables and protein buffet style to pick and choose but the host said they bring it to you. I was a bit overwhelmed by the process and having to choose without being able to view the menu fully and see what other people were doing so we left without dining. Even though I had an idea of the pricing, it would be really nice if the pricing was transparent on the website. Even though the menu is available online to view i still want to be able to hold the menu and decide in real time what I want without having to make choices before sitting down. First time visiting on Saturday at 12pm and there was no waitlist so that's a plus. Our hostess/waitress was attentive and always checked on us. The sauce bar had many selection to choose from and is clean. Ambiance is ok as surrounding noise is loud so sometimes it's difficult to hear from your guest that sits across from you at a booth. On top of that the ventilation tube is centered on the table to a position where I could not see my guest, it blocks your view so you would need to slide left or right from your seat to see. When it's time to order food it's nice to make selection on a tablet. We were warned that the slicer machine is out of service and will take a short bit to get it working again. So all our selection of food item came out quick, even hot pot soup, except meat. Table size will need to be bigger when choosing both bbq and hotpot. We literally had to stack small plates on top of one another to make it all fit. I choose tomato soup base and flavor was bland so anything I add in the soup definitely will need to be dunked in dipping sauce. Most likely I will not visit again. read more

We have been coming to KPOT for a while, we started at the bellaire location and then came to the new one in Webster. The food was good as always, but this time the service was not good. I understand that there is a 2 hour time limit per table, but our server kept on nagging us about the time limit and it was already an hour before closing time. There were plenty of other tables available for other parties. We had ordered our last round of meat, and then maybe 10-15 minutes after our server started coming by like every 5 minutes reminding us we had reached our limit and it was time for us to go, and even said the manager said it was time for us to go. So we felt like we were being rushed out the door despite us not being finished with our food and having raked up a high tab.
