Well sauced and not overly so. Really delicious selections

Honestly a really great experience! I'm not entirely sure when this place opened up down here but its really clean. The entrance lights are a really cool touch despite how old the building is. My friend and I got seated immediately (right before dinner rush) and while we were allocated a new waiter to Kpot, a more experienced waiter came and made sure we were going to be well taken care of. Shout out to... man i shoulda asked how to spell her name but... it's pronounced "Ee-vian" I'll have to revisit and get her name right for justice The only item on the menu tonight that was missing were the scallops which was a bummer considering its at the beginning of dinner time. For how quickly busy it became, everything came out in super fast. There were staff near the sauce bar keeping it clean and organized, and the new waiter kept our grill new and replaced it frequently. One qualm is the sauce bar is quite wide to reach the back side to get stuff so i find my face literally up to the glass shield. Not necessarily enough to touch it but uncomfortably in my face. Tbh I was so hungry I forgot to take more pictures than just my food so I'ma have to redeem myself in the near future :P

Cousins, look at here if you want to eat good and cook your own food, you can still go to KPot. They'll have all the trimmings you need to make it just how you like it. Tonight was a celebration for my Sugar Bear. He is turning 50. we celebrated all weekend long and after we rested all day, we came here for dinner with the girls. We had a great time discovering and experiencing food that we've never eaten before such as snails, something that looks like a scallop, but it's not, I was digging in on the ribeye and the crab legs. The miso soup broth was amazing and I love that they kept bringing out the food once we requested it on the iPad. The bill was about $35 per person. The only thing I would add is the ability to have your own table space for all the extra dishes that you are not using once you start cooking the meats and proteins. We had a great time and there's been a running joke even though it's his birthday to have the restaurant sing to him. He just giggles like a little kid . Thank you and Paul our waitress for taking the time to make my bay feel so special.

UPDATE: Running it back with a pretty laid back review, this place is still pretty good. Only complaint this time is that sometimes the service seemed too fast (as in getting 20 items at once) and too slow at other points in the meal (waiting 10 minutes for a grill change) but it didn't annoy us too much. Other than that, I absolutely adore the amount of different options there are for both the hotpot and Korean BBQ. As someone who primarily orders beef only for my meat, I'm so thrilled every time I open the menu to see like 20 beef options total. I'd personally like to see more noodle and soup base options for the hotpot specifically, as I think that part of the restaurant experience is slightly weaker than the KBBQ part, but these are all just minor gripes. Place is still amazing and I hope it stays that way.

This is the 2nd time we've been back and omg, it taste much better than the first. The first time we came was during opening month and I can tell that they've worked out a lot of their kinks here and there. The meat quality and taste are much better. Hotpot was delicious! I loved all of my experience today. The ambiance was on point as always too! Oh BY THE WAY, their boba is delicious and tapioca is the perfect softness! Will definitely be back! Yall should request Annie as a server too, because she was exceptional today!

Annyeong (Korean for hello)! The Clear Lake/NASA area has been once again blessed with another new eatery, and it's the second Korean BBQ joint to open in a two-year span. As a few of you Yelpers know, I began 2024 in the hospital and couldn't eat out as much as I tried to figure my new diet out. KPOT threw open its doors while I battled for my life so it ended up on the list of places I wanted to try as soon as I got better. Summer is the season of the grill, but why sweat it out when there's a restaurant like this? KPOT's main draw is that diners can choose to have the traditional BBQ, hot pot, or both. For our inaugural visit, my younger brother and I decided on the BBQ. It was quite busy on the afternoon of the last day of June, but we were quickly seated and Alan took care of us right away. And so ensued our dinner. We stocked up on mostly bolgogi and galbi, which were complemented by generous helpings of banchan, cabbage, and rice. Unlike other Korean places, KPOT allows customers to select their own banchan and sauces from a small buffet setup in the back. What's my verdict? A target unlocked. No more making an hours-long trek to Spring Branch for real. Rest assured KPOT deserves another visit from me.

If you want some good hotpot close to home. Try this place it is buffet style and one price eat till you drop and no take home doggie bags. Delicious you have to try the pot special broth if you don't do pork! Service was great! They were tentative and always aware of the table. It was not super busy when I went through. The ambiance definitely gives buffet renovations. It is nothing to crazy just a clean slate style for easy cleanup. There is a K-pop area so you have been warned.

The broth was flavorful but not overly salty, which worked perfectly for cooking the meats and vegetables. The beef slices were thin and fresh, cooking quickly in the broth and staying tender. The vegetable platter was generous and included a nice variety like cabbage, mushrooms, tofu, and noodles. One thing I liked was the sauce bar--there were several options like ponzu, sesame sauce, garlic, and chili so you could customize the flavor exactly how you want. Service was friendly and attentive. The staff explained how to cook the ingredients properly, which is helpful if you're new to shabu-shabu. The only small downside was that it can get a bit busy during peak dinner hours, so you might have to wait for a table. Overall, it's a great spot if you're craving fresh hot pot and a casual dining experience. I'd definitely come back again.

I did try all of the meats and it was a lot of food but every cut was great! Nice open restaurant with plenty of seating and arranged so you feel as if you have your own space. The only reason I dropped it by a star was that there was only one person waiting on a large portion of the guests. She really tried hard and this is not a knock on her. But even though it was a slow night she struggled to keep up at times. I would have given it 4.5 if I had the choice.

We came on a Thursday night and there were only a few other cars in the parking lot. Dumpling World across the street had a fuller lot, so we were about to reconsider our choice, but decided to follow through with our original choice. Upon walking in around 7pm, there were a few other tables dining in. In case you didn't know, there are two menus here: an Americanized menu and a Chinese menu. Be sure to ask for both so that you get all the choices to select from! We ordered, the Honey Black Pepper Steak, Triple Delight Pan Fried Asian Noodles, Pork and Bamboo Shoots, and Sizzling Black Pepper Beef. The former two are on the Americanized menu and the latter two are on the Chinese menu. The Honey Black Pepper Steak has been my favorite dish here - it's deep fried pieces of beef coated in a black pepper sauce with a touch of sweetness...so good! The Pan Fried Noodles were crispy, but meat/vegetable to noodle ratio was a little off, as they could've put a good amount more of beef/chicken/shrimp on there. The Pork and Bamboo Shots and Sizzling Beef were both very tasty and hadn't changed from how I remember them. Our server was someone we recognized as having worked here for years. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name, but she's an expert here and knows the menu by heart. She constantly came around to check on us, and we were warmly taken care of. One thing I noticed was how adamant the staff was about watching your step as you get into and out of the booths. There are even signs on the tables and out the exit doors warning you to watch your step. Something must have happened here recently that caused them to take extra precautions (and make it known). This is a good local spot in Clear Lake that my family and I will continue to hit up for an easy dinner since there are not many Asian options in the area. The locations in Pearland and near Gulfgate are also worth trying (just know that some menu items may differ).

To-go orders, in my experience, can be quite lacking. Though they wear the title that suggests this place is a simple, humble store that specializes in hu tieu and mi (egg noodles), this place is through-and-through a very, VERY authentic Vietnamese restaurant. As someone who has traveled to Vietnam (VN) as a summer home in the past, I can tell you that hu tieu is a very popular dish to eat in the mornings and for lunch (*ahem* way more popular than pho--trust me). If you've been to NYC, you've seen starbucks at every single corner--it's not different from places that are slinging noodles around Ho Chi Minh city. So I've been back to this place more than a few times and I'm so glad I kept giving this place a chance throughout the years. It used to reek the same smell as the tofu aisle of an Asian grocery store, but I found their food to be quite good for the price... of course, in the beginning, I wanted to eat what they were supposedly best known for, so I got the hu tieu. It's been quite a while since I've had a bowl, but it definitely took me back to memories of VN. And though it does look similar to Pho, they definitely are made with totally different ingredients--one would be unfair to compare the two, but considering how widely popular pho is in the states, it just makes sense to use it as a reference point. Pho is made from beef or chicken, hu tieu is made from pork. Both soups are clarified and have a rather clear broth whereas ramen can be rather rich and cloudy. Some people would say hu tieu in general is "bland," but I whole-heartedly disagree. They've since moved to a new location--still on Scardsale Blvd but just a little closer to i45.

I just wish that the presentation tasted as good as it looked The flavors were not cohesive, they didn't flow. I couldn't taste the mango, was way too tomatoey, and it needed something. Next we had the crab cake, once again when it came out we were eyes wide open because it looked so dang good! Why was it not The best crab cake ever is from Pappas Seafood, so naturally we compare crab cakes to theirs. This crab cake though was bland, like no zing of flavor. We were disappointed Next we tried the Wagyu Gyoza, we had zero idea that it was going to be in a dumpling. Once again we struck out on all three dishes. You know the rule, three strikes and you're out! We did sign up for the rewards program because Miru does have some really good food, these three dishes are not them. Oh, and the gal with the super long hair that did have it pulled back who kept going behind the bar to make drinks because Natalie had a full bar to make drinks for, take orders from, and make your drinks for your one table that was in the restaurant section, be a better co-worker. It was close. I'd eat here again and I definitely recommend. But on to the food and the service. We had a lot of different dishes so there's lots to say. Our server was young. While that may sound like a dig, it is not. He was super friendly and attentive. We started with some pretty awesome appetizers. The Shiitake Short Rib was falling-off-the-bone (and it is served on the bone) was perhaps the best bite of the night. There are a lot of appetizers to choose from. If you find yourself at Miru, order this. We also tried the Gulf Grouper - Flash Fried, Mango, Tomato, Basil. This was also a delicious bite. I ordered the Spanish Octopus, listed as an appetizer, for my meal. I'm a fan of octopus and order it whenever I see if on a menu. Though an appetizer, the octopus dish was a good size. The description clearly states it's made with peppercorn chile and I should have been prepared for it to have a kick. That said, it caught me off guard. It only took a few bites to adjust to the spice of the dish, after which I thoroughly enjoyed it. Other items ordered included Scottish Salmon with Ginger, Lemon, Lobster Butter, Shrimp, Blue Crab and Sautéed Asparagus... a lovely dinner. When the last couple arrived they ordered the Red Fish dinner, which included Lobster Brown Butter, Crab, Shrimp, Brussel Sprouts and Shallots. They shared the meal and enjoyed it very much. Mark ordered Fish & Chips - Miso Icelandic Cod, Yuzu Tarter and Fries. He definitely enjoyed his meal. I'm not surprised the overall rating for Miru Seafood is 4.5... hmmm. It's well deserved. There are so many options on the menu and everything we tried was quite good. We could go back and get an entirely different meal. I'm confident it would be delicious.

It has that flavor and concentration you expect especially phin filter with condensed milk. The rock and roll beef is a good choice too. The steak cubes are tender and has the nice accompaniment of onions, tomatoes and cucumber. The sauce packed that nice garlic punch which the steak absorb. The fried rice is a nice upgrade from regular white rice but both would be good choices. Overall it was a nice visit to Pho Hoang. It was very straightforward and our server was nice too. No complaints. From my personal experience of drinking Vietnamese coffee for years, I think my tolerance is much stronger to it and found this one today as concentrated but not as bold like I am used too. But this is still very good. There are some staple dishes offered and seen also include a fried fish platter and a few other additions. No desserts on the menu and strictly just classic Vietnamese dishes.

Ordered the Rocking Beef to go. Had I been in the store to eat, I would have sent this back. Menu…read moresays it's tenderloin. Meat was tough and over cooked and was NOT tenderloin. More like top sirloin as it was very chewy !!
