Their grill heat, even at the maximum, didn't really do enough to actually grill the meats, rather it kind of just grayed the outsides. The broths here overall are a little bit disappointing, since they all seem watered down from when they originally opened. My main issue is their ordering system. Sometimes entire rounds of food that we've ordered haven't come, or sometimes it'll just be individual dishes. Also, I don't exactly agree with some of the portioning for things like the noodles or the vegetables, which is an issue I've experienced before, but these past few times it has gotten quite extreme (ex. ordering one order of spinach and crown daisy, and receiving one piece of spinach in a bowl and the rest is filled with crown daisy). I think, for the current price, some of the issues I have been experiencing are inexcusable and I would love to see some change before I consider coming back. read more

False advertising. Nowhere does it say that "free" only applies to the actual day of your birthday, and that for the 3 days before/after, it's 50% off. They could've chosen to put it anywhere in this flyer, even the fine print, but chose not to, despite the fact that it's "always been policy". It should've been policy to honor the words that were written on the website. The aiyu jelly and potato salad were good. The self ordering from the tablet was cool, and the food came out pretty fast. However, meats were cut too thick. No standard brisket for lunch bbq. Exceedingly rude staff. We were a party of two, and we were told there weren't any two-person tables available, so we'd need to wait 10-20 minutes. The strange part? I could already see well over ten empty tables from the entrance--and I couldn't even see the entire restaurant. Since we had a movie starting soon, I politely asked if we could be seated at one of the open four-person tables. It wasn't as though there was a line of people waiting behind us. Instead of a courteous explanation, the hostess literally rolled her eyes and replied, "I'm just asking you to wait 10 minutes," in a tone that suggested I was the unreasonable one. Apparently she possesses the rare ability to predict exactly when every table in the restaurant will finish eating. Either she's secretly psychic, or she's far more optimistic than decades of restaurant experience would lead me to be. My husband was understandably irritated by how dismissive and disrespectful we were treated, so we left. Fortunately, Webster is overflowing with great restaurants, so we weren't forced to depend on this establishment's version of "hospitality." That was fun! A lot to know and/or remember that's why I give four stars. There were some directions at the table for length of time to cook, but there was still some confusion. My favorite thing was the frog legs that we put on the grill. The garlic mussels were good too. I also liked the sauce bar. Be sure to allow 2 hours. Honestly a really great experience! I'm not entirely sure when this place opened up down here but its really clean. The entrance lights are a really cool touch despite how old the building is. My friend and I got seated immediately (right before dinner rush) and while we were allocated a new waiter to Kpot, a more experienced waiter came and made sure we were going to be well taken care of. Shout out to... man i shoulda asked how to spell her name but... it's pronounced "Ee-vian" I'll have to revisit and get her name right for justice The only item on the menu tonight that was missing were the scallops which was a bummer considering its at the beginning of dinner time. For how quickly busy it became, everything came out in super fast. There were staff near the sauce bar keeping it clean and organized, and the new waiter kept our grill new and replaced it frequently. One qualm is the sauce bar is quite wide to reach the back side to get stuff so i find my face literally up to the glass shield. Not necessarily enough to touch it but uncomfortably in my face. Kpot is a much needed addition to League City's growing restaurant scene as it's the first AYCE kbbq and hot pot combo offered in the area. I have been here on two separate birthday occasions and have always been happy with my experiences. Birthday guests dine free and you'll even get a special celebration/shout out by their mascot. They offer a very wide variety of high quality meats, fresh seafoods, vegetables, noodles, broths and sides. The only downside is that seating for larger parties over 6+ ppl can be a challenge as they only have one table in the back that can accommodate large groups. Overall, highly recommend! read more

Cousins, look at here if you want to eat good and cook your own food, you can still go to KPot. They'll have all the trimmings you need to make it just how you like it. Tonight was a celebration for my Sugar Bear. He is turning 50. we celebrated all weekend long and after we rested all day, we came here for dinner with the girls. We had a great time discovering and experiencing food that we've never eaten before such as snails, something that looks like a scallop, but it's not, I was digging in on the ribeye and the crab legs. The miso soup broth was amazing and I love that they kept bringing out the food once we requested it on the iPad. The bill was about $35 per person. The only thing I would add is the ability to have your own table space for all the extra dishes that you are not using once you start cooking the meats and proteins. We had a great time and there's been a running joke even though it's his birthday to have the restaurant sing to him. He just giggles like a little kid . Been to my fair share of koren bbq spots and this is one i'm not going back to. We went on a sunday night and the service to get food out was extremely slow. It makes more sense as to why its a two hour limit since they were taking fifteen minutes between each delivery of meat. We had to fill up on appetizers instead, and just decided to call it about an hour in since we weren't getting anything delivered to us and the quality of meat just wasn't that good. Super friendly staff, so nothing against them. But this wasn't worth the price. The salt and sauce section was also 3/5, plus the kimchii and other korean appetizers didn't have a great taste. read more

If you have kids, this isn't the place for you. Kids tend to eat slower and once you hit the 2-hr mark, even when they're about 45 mins from closing, they'll kick you out of your seats. Doesn't matter if you're still in the middle of finishing up your meal. I understand the 2-hr limit during high traffic lunch and dinner times. But 45 mins before closing when there's only 3 other occupied tables?!!! Yea... not coming back here again! About the food (esp the hot pot)... it was bland and meh. We're going back to Go Shabu! Food was amazing, the wife was very happy with the hot pot spicy base and sat down for 2 hrs eating crab and a variety of meat. My buddy that came with us ate lamb, beef, wagyu etc. They had these amazing coffee sponge cakes. All in all for 32 bucks for all you can eat, we can all safely say we left satisfied and full. The waitress was beyond nice and gave us space to eat and laugh and enjoy while also keeping an eye on our drinks and steady refills. Annyeong (Korean for hello)! The Clear Lake/NASA area has been once again blessed with another new eatery, and it's the second Korean BBQ joint to open in a two-year span. As a few of you Yelpers know, I began 2024 in the hospital and couldn't eat out as much as I tried to figure my new diet out. KPOT threw open its doors while I battled for my life so it ended up on the list of places I wanted to try as soon as I got better. Summer is the season of the grill, but why sweat it out when there's a restaurant like this? KPOT's main draw is that diners can choose to have the traditional BBQ, hot pot, or both. For our inaugural visit, my younger brother and I decided on the BBQ. It was quite busy on the afternoon of the last day of June, but we were quickly seated and Alan took care of us right away. And so ensued our dinner. We stocked up on mostly bolgogi and galbi, which were complemented by generous helpings of banchan, cabbage, and rice. Unlike other Korean places, KPOT allows customers to select their own banchan and sauces from a small buffet setup in the back. What's my verdict? A target unlocked. No more making an hours-long trek to Spring Branch for real. Rest assured KPOT deserves another visit from me. read more

If you want some good hotpot close to home. Try this place it is buffet style and one price eat till you drop and no take home doggie bags. Delicious you have to try the pot special broth if you don't do pork! Service was great! They were tentative and always aware of the table. It was not super busy when I went through. My first experience with Tyler was awesome so I brought my friend back a week later so she can try it for the first time. Initially, our server was nice and offered recommendations of his favorites. But when we ordered all of our items hadn't come out mostly the vegetables we brought this too our servers attention he did then stated that multiple tables did not receive their vegetables. I don't think that that was appropriate to tell us, he should've just offered to check on it instead, but he told us to try to order them again and see if they come out. Of course they never came out and after that, he didn't check on us much we did see other tables get their vegetables, but it would've been nice for us to enjoy vegetables with our hot pot. At the end when he bought us a check, he told me I look tired. I stated that I'm not tired. I'm a little irritated. No management present to check on the situation. I'm not even sure if they were made aware that we never even got our vegetables. Anyways, I will give it another try one day. read more

Honestly....was excited about going to this place since it's close and everyone loves Korean bbq but this place a let down service was decent but trying to get the meats we wanted was an absolute nightmare we asked multiple times for different meats and none of them came out over and over the same thing was asked for and never showed up almost 45 minutes later the witness came up and said oh sorry we don't have that but I'll bring this instead and the wait time for the meats were too long even though we had two hours not allot of meat was brought to us especially paying almost $200 for 4 people I can say I definitely won't be going back there again read more

They found out what they'd been missing, though! The waitresses were very helpful giving us an orientation for how to order and how to use the table equipment. The restaurant is very nice inside and clean (which I always notice). We all ordered the all you can eat soup and BBQ. Very quickly the table FILLED UP with plates and we got to work cooking and eating. The soup was delicious and I think I hit a free facial to go with it, haha! Had my birthday dinner here and had a really great time! My party of 4 did the bbq and hotpot, so we had a lot going on. We really wanted to try a little bit of everything so we all shared and I'm not disappointed with the food at all! I got the miso broth and really enjoyed it! The only thing that was eh was the fried chicken wings- no flavor really. For birthdays, they give you cheesecake, sing a song, and someone comes out in a bear mascot uniform. I am TERRIFIED and my gf and I didn't know so we were able to request we didn't want it around but seriously the amount of times they came out in it and how loudly they sang the happy birthday song was so distracting. On top of the music that was going on, a lot of people moving around, hearing sizzling pots, etc. Def overwhelming for people with stimulus issues! They had a lot of different cocktails, we didn't get one but I could see this being a really nice date place! A couple of our food items were forgotten, but we had ordered so much, we were understanding of the mix up. As someone who's not super familiar with Korean barbecue and hot pot, I was a bit out of my element at KPOT, but I had an interesting experience! First off, the place is pretty lively, with a modern vibe. When I arrived, I was greeted by friendly staff who explained the whole concept, which was a bit overwhelming. I was handed a menu filled with options that all sounded foreign to me! Our server, Alan, did an amazing job throughly explaining everything; from using the tablet to order food to the cooking times, I felt more at ease with his walk-through. I went for the all-you-can-eat option, which I thought was a good deal. They have a variety of meats and veggies to grill at your table, which was fun but also a little chaotic. I wasn't quite sure how to work the grill at first, but I eventually figured it out (I think). The marinated meats were tasty, especially the beef and pork. The hot pot section was a whole new world! I dropped some noodles and veggies into the broth, which was a bit spicy for my taste, but I enjoyed the experience. I probably overcooked a few things--I'm not the best at this kind of cooking! Overall, it was a fun night out. I might need a few more visits to really get the hang of it, but I appreciate the variety and interactive nature of the meal.
