I am very pleased with KP Touch. I moved to the DC area 6 months ago and was very surprised at the lack of decent car washes here. After going all that time without a wash, I finally found KP Touch on Yelp. When I came back to pick up my car, I was floored over how good it looked. First, let me just say I've been using Yelp for years and years as a go-to guide for restaurants and services but never bothered to sign up for an account or leave a review because I never felt the need to. That all changed today because of the OUTSTANDING service I received from Kenny & his team at KP Touch. Background: So I just purchased a new car 2 weeks ago and began learning the proper techniques of car detailing and maintenance to preserve my new paint. Yesterday while attempting to safely remove the ugly door edge guards that the dealer had installed, I still managed to scuff/scratch my paint around the door edges while removing the residue. There were streaks of prism/rainbow like discolorations in the paint. I tried washing and claying the entire car but to no avail. In a panic and not wanting to further damage my paint, I turned to Yelp to help me find a reputable car detailing shop. Thanks to other Yelpers high reviews, I decided to try KP Touch. I showed up at KP Touch this morning at 10:30am without an appointment. The location is a little difficult to find since its located on the P4 level of a parking garage, and there's only one sign at the garage entrance. You would never know KP Touch was there unless you were looking for them. Despite this lack of street visibility, the business was still busy meaning they must do a lot of repeat business and word of mouth recommendations. I soon discovered why as I was greeted warmly by a team member and I explained my situation to him. He left the car he was working on to come work on mine. He first attempted to clean the marks off with a solution but that didn't work, so tried to buff it out. With still no luck, he turned to Kenny for a second opinion. And then Kenny went to work! For the next two hours I watched and talked with Kenny as he buffed and polished the scratches out while explaining what he was doing. He let me step in and look over the progress and point out trouble areas, and then went over them again until I was satisfied. He was as meticulous about my car as he would be with his own. 2 hours from start to finish and my car was looking as good as new again, and money was never even discussed until completion. He charged me a generously low amount for having just worked so hard on my car for 2 hours. I tipped him, thanked him for being a life-saver and I was on my way. In Summary - Kenny was professional, knowledgeable, hard working, meticulous and friendly. Kenny went above and beyond to help me out even without a reservation and for a great low price. I do not hesitate to recommend KP Touch to anyone who needs a full service wash or detail. Kenny and his team will definitely take care of you. While I was there I saw members of his team work on a Mercedes, a Range Rover, and a BMW and they were all looking spotless. So you can trust them with whatever kind of car you drive. I got my car buffed and waxed ($125) a few weeks ago and my car still looks great. Don't let the location intimidate you, it's incredible easy to find. They are located in an underground parking garage (access it from Taylor St.). Go down to the 4th level and you can't miss them. I think it's nice they are located where they are. I'm sure the rent is cheap so they can keep the cost low and it's protected from the weather. They recommend scheduling an appointment so that's what I did. I'm not sure how quick a wash will take, but they quoted me 2-3 hours for a buff and wax. Luckily I made sure I wasn't crunch for time and left my car with them and went on my way. When I came to pick up my car it looked shiny from a distance and parked to the side. A gentleman said I could examine my car before payment but I didn't feel like I needed to do that so I paid (they took $10 off so I could use that $10 to pay to get out of the garage) and when I got home and did examine my car it was beautiful, shiny and looked brand new again. My car was nicely vacuumed on the inside and weeks have gone by and my car still looks great. They did a great job on the waxing. Definitely worth it! read more

I bring my Audi S3 to KP for washes and waxing. In the past I have never let anyone wash my car but recently have not had the time to do it myself. I have been taking my car to KP for about 4 months and they treat it how I would. Kenny, the owner, is awesome and always accommodates what I need done. I recently brought him wax that I wanted put on and he took the time to do it himself to make sure it met my expectations. Great service and quality work every time. It's consistency like this that counts. I will bring my car here for any detailing need. If you havnt tried KP, I highly recommend them. They clean very well - no doubt about that. However, their pricing / ethics left a bad taste in the mouth (marring what would otherwise have been a great experience). They told me 155 as the price for full detail. When I come back, they asked for 165 - saying they priced me at 65+90 for two different services (155) but when they looked up their price sheet, they realized that the price of the two service when bought as one is actually 165! Go figure. Even if you made a mistake, suck up the 10. Instead the lady says (same one who had done this entire mess up) "I will reduce it to 160 but I am expecting a great tip". The 3 star goes for the location. The service was great. But the location was just not as expected. Located at the 4th floor of a parking lot , not only was it difficult to sit around waiting for the car to get ready, but I also had to pay the parking fee for the lot. There needs to be a notice or warning for customers in regards to the location before they actually come in. read more

I was getting my brother in law's completely neglected Acura ready to sell on craigslist, and found KP Touch through google. In under two hours this car was looking beautiful and more than ready to sell. James literally took a car that hadn't been washed in over 3 years and made it look stunning again. After a pipe in my apt building dropped some form of residue all over the hood/roof of my car--I needed a thorough wash. So while in the Arlington area today (friday), I popped into KP Touch. It's on the P-4 level of the parking garage (and they will pay for your parking). If I had known it was by appt only, I would have called first, but Kenny was great and suggested that I come back around 3:30 and he'd fit me in. They are just a few steps from the mall and other shops, so when I did drop it off, I had plenty of places to go in the interim. If you work in the area, even better. When I came back at 4:45 to pick the car up, it was shining. Luckily for me, no major work had to be done to get the stains off the car (it wasn't calcium like I thought) and he'd done a nice job with the interior too. A quick wash and vacuum was just $24. Next time, I'll make an appt and get the full detail, b/c my car needs it. Noting they hand wash and take the extra time, I think it'll be well worth the price. read more

So I choose KP because of their high reviews. The gentleman was so nice when I called and agreed to fit me in on Saturday to do a hand wash to my car. I talked to him for awhile and told him how my dad owned a car detailing shop in another state my entire life, therefore I thought he would appreciate it and do a great job on my car like he would any other. I picked up my car 4 and a half hours later and on my way home I noticed that on my council and other areas of my car still had dirt/hair on them (downside of being a girl with long hair). So when I got home I had to clean them myself. I was really disappointed with their level of cleanness after the great reviews they had. I'm the last person to ever give a bad review and I will admit that everyone working there was extremely nice; I'm just not happy for what I paid for, even after giving them a generous tip. I hope that they improve on the small areas that they missed in the future. But I will not be a returning customer. read more

Great customer service, courteous, professional, and timely. Hand wash was good, and wash/wax a compelling argument in a city with no driveways to DIY. A bit pricey, and left a few unpolished patches of wax-- but head and shoulders above your normal drive-thru carwash. I have never had my car detailed before, but I have 4 kids that sit in it regularly and it needed a good cleaning bad. I called once I got to the address, because I was a little confused about where to go. They led me straight to where I needed to go.I then dropped my car off. I had a car seat to move and stroller and they were really kind and wanted to help me remove some heavy things. I needed a ride a home and they gave me a ride in one of their personal cars. These men were complete gentlemen! I was treated very well. When I got my car back it was cleaned on the outside as well, even though I didn't want to pay extra for that service. I was expecting a very clean interior and that is what I got. Also, they got in the hard to reach spots and cleaned out crevices that I could not reach! I would definitely return to this place! Just picked up my Xterra there after an interior detailing. My car is more than 10 yrs old and hasn't been detailed ever. I mean coffee stains, pet hair, broken eggs in the seats (seriously), and who knows what else I've had in this thing. People who have Xterras understand what can go in these cars. This was my first detailing experience as we have usually cleaned our cars ourselves. It was a bit of a splurge and an anniversary gift to ourselves. But, our 10 year old mini-van (having gone through four boys) looks fantastic! It almost feels new. All the dirt and grime are gone. The outside is smooth and clean. The tires are shiny. All the cupholders look pristine. They power washed the carpets and shined up the headlights (a little extra $). I appreciated the service and attention to detail and the enthusiasm. Today was the first time I had tried KP Touch, and I am so pleased with their work and their customer service. I scheduled and appt for a hand wash and tire shine and since I was in a rush, I had asked them if they can do their best to finish it as soon as they can. They worked hard to get it done, but it sure looked amazing. It was my fault I didn't allow for the time it should have taken which was an hour and a half, instead they had it complete in 45 minutes for me. KP did a terrific job restoring our Subaru back to its just-new look. With our young children, we'd had trouble finding time to keep up the light color interior and exterior over the years. I had my car detailed so I could attempt to trade it, but once I got it back I changed my mind. They are super polite, answered all of my questions, and never spoke down to me - and as a girl, I find that very refreshing. They made sure I was happy with everything, which I was. I purchased the Full Detail package. They managed to get the shoe scuffs off of the tan leather on the bottom of my door, cleaned the tan leather arms rests on the door, and there wasn't a speck of break dust on rims. My carpets were shampooed and spotless, and the wax job was silky smooth and perfect. I am very happy and will be back! read more

Ketchup, honey-mustard, discarded fries, etc. When they were done the interior looked like new. Really disappointed. Brought in a car that needed interior cleaning. Paid $125. Left the car for more than two hours plus waited another half hour after returning. It's so dark in that basement I don't know how they could see. They missed a LOT that i pointed out when i was there. And didn't see the rest until daylight. so what DID they do? the carpets were wet so i guess they shampooed. Wish I could post the 'after' looks very much like the before. Nice gentlemen, talked a lot, but left the car unfinished. read more

I had a fantastic experience at KP Touch! I asked to have my car paint looked at as it had several old marks from the chemicals in tree sap and bird poop. Additionally someone had rear-ended me and not left a note. The damage was a small dent in the back bumper of the car, but the obvious part was their white paint on my black car. KP got all of it out with the full buff and re-wax package! It looks so shiny and beautiful now, and the interior is so clean, even in crevices I thought I'd never get a crumb out of. Kenny truly takes care of his customers...from strange requests to finishing the wash. When I went for a consult the night before my appointment he had quoted a package that was $150 for an SUV, but the next day when he realized he had quoted the wrong package on the pamphlet, I asked if he would honor his original (lower) price, and he did! They even reimbursed the $15 I spent on parking garage tickets to enter the facility ($5 for the consult the night before, and $10 for the full day I left it for the service). Mirian(sp?) was also very helpful at the front desk when I dropped it off early at 7:55 am so I could head to work not too late. Thanks! Top notch service! read more

I found myself in this parking garage in Arlington because I needed my cell phone fixed. I was looking at atleast a 3 hour wait, so I thought, well why not get my car cleaned while I'm here and kill two birds with one stone. I drive a Dodge Magnum with a black interior and live in the country on dirt roads and have two young boys. The inside of my car was TRASHED! It had actually become rather depressing knowing it looked so bad and that I'd probably never be able to sell it because of that reason. I never offered to drive when with a group of friends, because I was so ashamed of it! When I spoke to Kenny about my car, I really didn't have high expectations because I figured it was an unachievable task. Well when I arrived back to pick it up, I was in SHOCK! The interior of the car looked absolutely like BRAND NEW! I cannot get over the amazing job they did! all the stains on the seats were gone! The ground in dirt in the carpet was gone! the dirty gray door handles were clean! I have never in my life had a car detail turn out the good! And the price! $90 and then minus the $9 for parking - you can't beat! I was expecting like $200! Now he does have larger packages, so just imagine what more could of been done! I would no doubt drive another hour back to Kenny for him to do my car again - promise that! Oh and I have a small credit card on my key chain, I never second guessed it being in their possession! I just took my 10 year old car in because someone had side swiped my car and left a nasty scuff down the entire passenger side. Not all did they get the scuff marks out but they made this old neglected car look absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Fast, efficient and professional!!! I am going back to have the interior done soon. In fact when it is time for just a wash, they will be doing it. Cyril was amazing! As I started to drive off he chased me down because he saw a very tiny spot down on the rocker panel (that I would never have noticed) that he missed (a very tiny spot of wax). I read about this place on Yelp and since I hadn't washed my car in 8 months and had just driven half way across the country I figured I'd check it out. I went with the Hand Wash/Spray Wax and was impressed with the results. The car went from dull to glistening and the spray wax has lasted despite some incredible storms here. The interior was vacuumed and immaculate. There is really a wow factor when you drive up and see the other cars being washed and even more so when you go to pick your car up. I would highly recommend them. I called relatively late in the day so I had to wait until the next day to get an appointment (going in around 3 PM so I'm sure if you dropped it off before metro'ing to work it'd be no problem). The people are friendly, and although they do try to upsell you (hard to justify paying a lot when you drive a 9 year old Toyota) it's not overly pushy. Also something to note is that since the service is in a parking garage they pay for the parking (deduct what you will pay the attendant from your bill) which is a nice touch. It is a little pricey (I think the hand wash/spray wax is the best value) but it is definitely worth it. read more

FIve Stars to KP touch for performing a cleaning miracle on my daughter's Honda CRV!! After reading all the glowing reviews, I decided to take my daughter's filthy car to KP Touch to see what they could do. You need to understand that this car was a complete disaster. My daughter is an artist. She uses the car to transport paints, solvents, canvases, metals and a myriad of materials from plants to wood to stones that she incorporates to not her pieces. Oh, and did I mention that she is also a camper who takes this car on long trips into parks and wilderness areas foe extended camping adventures? Needless to say, the inside of the car was completely trashed. The seats, doors and dash were stained and sticky from a variety of chemicals and food spills. I had very little hope that KP could clean this mess, in fact, I thought they might turn me away when they saw the car. Not only did they accept the challenge, they performed a miracle and I'm not kidding! The once trashed interior looks almost new. The car even smells good again! Thank you, KP Touch! These guys are unreal. I've had car detailing done before, elsewhere, and if I'd known that this was how it should be done, I would've never gone anywhere else. I take decent care of my car, but after two messy winters and a recent coffee explosion, it was time to call KP Touch. Their attention to every detail, stain, nook, and cranny and overall thoroughness makes them worth every penny. After 8 hours of shampooing, stain treatment, odor protection, buffing, waxing, all the stubborn stains and exterior grime are gone. They also emptied out my entire car and then put it all back in, saving me the hassle of unloading my belongings (except, of course, any valuable possessions which no person should ever leave in the car for any service, anywhere). They brought my modest 2007 sedan back to life and truly, it looks like how I bought it in 2007. The KP Touch team was also very patient, friendly and informative.
