SKIP this car wash! Don't waste your money! My second visit was a complete "180" from the first visit where my car was cleaned immaculately and handled with care. I will not return to this business or location for that reason. I requested the "Deep Interior PLUS: Car" and once I pulled out of the garage, I immediately noticed the windshield still had places that were not cleaned completely AND the box that covers the Event Data Recorder was knocked loose. The interior leather hadn't been wiped clean completely. I went back to speak with the staff and was told the adhesive that holds it in place is no good while also refusing to acknowledge that he or someone else either missed it when checking the car in or cleaning the half clean windshield. I am very disappointed in the inconsistent service and care for my vehicle. read more

Absolutely Horrific! Please See Photos. Wow, where do I start. I have come here in the past and each time had to tell them to please pay close attention to the bottom areas of the car and wheels. I do this because I always come to pick up the car to find it still dirty. They would then clean the identified dirty areas and I would be on my way. This time was way worse than those previous times. Seems they are too lazy to bend down to get the paint on the areas closest to the ground. Not only that, it seems they just use a brush to quickly try to clean the wheels. The corners of my wheels were all dirty upon pickup. I told Darrell and even showed him, and he brushed it off stating its baked on brake dust. I then took saliva and my finger and showed him it comes off easy. This then disproved his hypothesis. He begrudgingly then told someone to come clean the wheels. I then proceeded to show him all the areas on the car that still had dirt on them. He had the nerve to tell me that I should have paid for the "Deluxe Detail" instead of "Mini-Detail". I countered that even the Mini-Detail should at a minimum clean the paint and not leave dirt. Darrell seems to be the main person there while other detailers keep coming and going. Soo, with Darrell providing horrible service and horrific customer service, I won't be back. To make matters worse, when leaving they gave me the ticket to get free parking and told me I am good to go. In the past they put the Key FOB in the car after giving me the free parking paper, so I would have it. Not this time. I drove off and noticed they never put the Car Key Fob in the car, so I had to drive back to get it. They have no Quality Control Check after a car is clean. Even other cars parked next to my car still had dirt on them. When I come here for my next Trader Joe's food run, I will take photos and upload to show the sloppiness of work done here. I came here cause it's close to work. No longer will I be coming here nor bring my other family cars. Such a waste of time. read more

Come in, see a dude behind the desk eating chicken tenders or something. Come up and say "Hi, I have an appointment", and the guy doesn't bother making eye contact or acknowledging my existence, just picks up his tablet and asks, "time?" I say the time, he calls someone over, and then starts chatting about his chicken tender or something to the guy he calls over before finally saying, and "oh yeah this guy's got an appointment". Whatever, I don't need these guys to be my friends, I need these guys to clean my car. I paid for a full detail, plus undercarriage wash, and an engine clean. Came out to $280 after tax, so it's a fair price but not the cheapest around. And you definitely need to double check their work - when they texted for me to come to pick the car up, I checked the bottom of the car and turns out they forgot to do the undercarriage at all. After waiting for that, I'm not sure the underside was the cleanest, and they forgot to roll down the windows and clean the upper edges of the windows, but at that point I was already running late, so good enough. At the end of all that, I still tipped 15% ($45) because they definitely worked hard to get my very dirty car looking respectable. Just make sure you're getting what you're paying for. I do feel like for $325 I'll find a better place next time. read more

I bought my car in 2018 and always just did my best to clean it myself and vacuum but my home equipment just did okay. The customer service was 10 stars from every staff member. Best car wash experience I've ever had. It's obviously pricier than a normal car wash, but my small SUV (Mazda CX5) was cleaner than when I bought it originally. The scheduling was done online where it's easy to see & understand which services are offered and their cost. You make an appointment online, which you'll be asked to confirm before the appointment. Watch out! Ive been using the C st DC location for years with good results. Today I was charged for parking whem I picked up my car and hour and 10 minutes after I was notified it was ready. I have picked up my car as much as several hours after completion in the past with no parking fee. I complained but paid the $11. Point is, if you leave your car there in the morning and pick it up after work, you will pay a rather large parking fee. Not really the convenience the website promises. Something is not right here. I am SERIOUSLY impressed with this place and now will go nowhere else for my car cleaning needs! There really aren't a ton of options in Capitol Hill for car washing/detailing. My car is rented out on Getaround so it tends to get messy pretty regularly and I used to head out to Maryland to get it cleaned but I'm so glad I tried this place out! My car didn't need a full detail and essentially just needed a good vacuuming/inside cleaning, so I opted for the hand wash which comes with interior cleaning. I'll be honest, I was a little worried that it wouldn't be SUPER clean since I wasn't getting the full detail but I was willing to give it a shot. First off, the location is perfect... right next to Eastern Market. I only live a 10min walk away so it doesn't get more convenient than that! I was able to make my appointment online which I loved and it was confirmed via email and text. Dropped the car off and off I went to stroll around Barracks Row to shop and whatnot. I checked in at around an hour and they were still going, so I ran some more errands and came back to pick it up. My jaw seriously dropped when I saw how clean my car was! The interior was completely sparkling and I couldn't believe it wasn't a full detail. They did an excellent job! And at a cost of $55 for my SUV, the price cannot be beat especially for a location within DC! I couldn't be happier with the service and they absolutely have earned a lifetime customer now... I have wanted to go to this car wash for years, I drive by it all the time. Finally pulled the trigger and I have mixed feelings. All of the positive reviews on here make me think I must have been there on an off day. Pros Exterior was pristine Carpets and interior was pretty clean too Cons 1- Since this car wash is in an underground lot, you can't really see everything until you get outside. My windows streaked like crazy and looked half done. 2- all of the guys I had talked to (in booking/dropping my car off) were gems. Amazing. The guy who was working on my car when I came to pick it up, not so much. Seemed like he didn't want to be there and he kept trying to get under my skin saying I had "four plastic water bottles" under my seats. Uhh...ok? 3- I got their most expensive package for a detail and there were definitely areas that were still dirty and overlooked 4- the detail took 40min longer than quoted 5- this one upset me the most, just because it was the most baffling. My car has a rubber insert in the cup holders (apparently, didn't know this until my experience here). I figured they would clean the cup holder during the detail. Instead they took the insert out and hid it in the trunk of my car. (Along with the four aforementioned empty water bottles) I'd probably go back to get my car vacuumed, but definitely not detailed. read more

I was initially a bit cautious when the service manager suggested that I upgrade the level of service from the Inside Out Detail to a Full Detail. However, given that I had never had the car detailed during 8 years of ownership I agreed. Derrick and his team did an excellent job. If I could rate this car wash a zero I would. A few months ago, we took our only 2-year-old car in for a full detail. This was not our first time here, but after what happened, we will never be back. When dropping our car off, one of the attendants engaged me in conversation about the drop off, noticed we had some paint damage from a leaky pipe on our front hood/bumper, and suggested he could get it off if we added a "buff" to our service. I told him if he could get the dried paint off the car, I would pay for the buff, so I agreed. We then walked the car to note any other previous damage, or areas of concern. There were none. When picking up the car, all pick-up protocol was avoided and not performed. No guided finishing walk of the car was completed. Soon after, we noticed small paint chips all over the black paint of the car, that looked almost as if someone took a nail file to a pristinely painted black nail, leaving white markings behind. They were all over the doors, hood, and upper trim. Did the buffer leave marks behind? Was the buffer cover not fully over the metal? Did something else knick the car? Why was there sketchy behavior during the post-walk through? When we took it back to Inside Out to ask about what happened, the owner, Tim, initially acted very professional, promising to take care of it if we provided him with three quotes... THAT WAS INITIALLY. After getting the appropriate quotes to fix the damage, Tim changed his entire story and demeanor. His professionalism went out the window, he claimed that I lied about the attendant's actions during the intro and finish of the wash. He was not willing to assist in fixing the damage in any way and lied to my face about something that I had "apparently" said, according to this attendant. To get to the point here, we took this issue to insurance who took care of the claim, with absolutely no responsibility of ours. Inside out was held fully accountable. Our car is now beautifully repainted and we found a new, RELIABLE, car wash. read more

This is the best car wash I've found in the District, and it's not close. So far I've been twice, the first time to their Navy Yard location, and the second to their Eastern Market location. Both times were outstanding in terms of both service and quality. In the case of the Navy Yard location, I didn't realize that the wash service was only for residents of the building the car wash garage was located in; even so, they took my appointment and the owner kept in touch with me throughout to ensure the job got done. The result was a spotless car (GLK350) with a beautifully detailed interior, for less than $60. Same thing the second time around. Make sure you have about an hour and a half to spare (which I think is about normal for one person - i probably would take about this same amount of time) and make a reservation in advance because they are busy!
