These guys were fantastic. We used them to detail a friend's car that we borrowed for a couple weeks and couldn't have been happier with the service. Very meticulous. The car came back with that new car smell and feel! They worked hard and did a great job for the price. Highly recommended! read more

These folks are amazing. It's been difficult since I've moved here to find a quality carwash. Between this spot and Yates I'm covered. Inside Out always starts on time and finishes on time. I never have issues with the service and at Eastern Market, you can shop/eat while you wait. The staff is always super nice and professional. The price has gone up but the job they do is worth it. read more

Inside Out Express Car Wash - Car Wash Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

My car was in desperate need of a deep clean after a summer of sand and state parks, and the Inside Out Express has been highly recommended by friends and neighbors so I gave it a go. I was really bad at planning and hoped to snag a mid-day appointment with less than 24-hours notice. They were so kind in texting me, letting me know I was on the waitlist, and giving me some alternate times from what I requested. I really appreciated that they tried to work with me even though I was the one planning poorly. I ended up snagging a time, and my car looks brand new. I plan on doing this at least once a quarter! It was so easy to book the cleans and drop it off/pick it up! read more

Super friendly staff and a great location to be able to drop your car off and do some shopping or grab a bite to eat. The car looked brand new after the detail! read more

I've been a patron for over 2 years and can say I am a highly-satisfied customer. Their workmanship is excellent, customer-service oriented, and trustworthy. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The owner, Tim Curry, and manager, Derek, are communicative, hospitable, and ensures my needs/ requests are met to my liking. Also, the location is in a nice area and there's places within walking distance to occupy one's wait time. read more

The team does an excellent job on both interior and exterior cleaning. Darrell Coles, the manager, does a great job of checking you in for your appointment and then advising when your car is ready. Darrell then meets you at the parking check out machine to let you leave the facility. Well managed and well run operation. Highly recommend. read more

SKIP this car wash! Don't waste your money! My second visit was a complete "180" from the first visit where my car was cleaned immaculately and handled with care. I will not return to this business or location for that reason. I requested the "Deep Interior PLUS: Car" and once I pulled out of the garage, I immediately noticed the windshield still had places that were not cleaned completely AND the box that covers the Event Data Recorder was knocked loose. The interior leather hadn't been wiped clean completely. I went back to speak with the staff and was told the adhesive that holds it in place is no good while also refusing to acknowledge that he or someone else either missed it when checking the car in or cleaning the half clean windshield. I am very disappointed in the inconsistent service and care for my vehicle. read more

Absolutely Horrific! Please See Photos. Wow, where do I start. I have come here in the past and each time had to tell them to please pay close attention to the bottom areas of the car and wheels. I do this because I always come to pick up the car to find it still dirty. They would then clean the identified dirty areas and I would be on my way. This time was way worse than those previous times. Seems they are too lazy to bend down to get the paint on the areas closest to the ground. Not only that, it seems they just use a brush to quickly try to clean the wheels. The corners of my wheels were all dirty upon pickup. I told Darrell and even showed him, and he brushed it off stating its baked on brake dust. I then took saliva and my finger and showed him it comes off easy. This then disproved his hypothesis. He begrudgingly then told someone to come clean the wheels. I then proceeded to show him all the areas on the car that still had dirt on them. He had the nerve to tell me that I should have paid for the "Deluxe Detail" instead of "Mini-Detail". I countered that even the Mini-Detail should at a minimum clean the paint and not leave dirt. Darrell seems to be the main person there while other detailers keep coming and going. Soo, with Darrell providing horrible service and horrific customer service, I won't be back. To make matters worse, when leaving they gave me the ticket to get free parking and told me I am good to go. In the past they put the Key FOB in the car after giving me the free parking paper, so I would have it. Not this time. I drove off and noticed they never put the Car Key Fob in the car, so I had to drive back to get it. They have no Quality Control Check after a car is clean. Even other cars parked next to my car still had dirt on them. When I come here for my next Trader Joe's food run, I will take photos and upload to show the sloppiness of work done here. I came here cause it's close to work. No longer will I be coming here nor bring my other family cars. Such a waste of time. read more

Professional and friendly staff. The car looked amazing and was thoroughly cleaned and detailed.

Derek and his team (Jose and Diego) did an amazing job. Service was done as expected and beyond. I had a tough stain to remove from the passenger floor and now it's gone. Excellent service and highly recommended. read more

Come in, see a dude behind the desk eating chicken tenders or something. Come up and say "Hi, I have an appointment", and the guy doesn't bother making eye contact or acknowledging my existence, just picks up his tablet and asks, "time?" I say the time, he calls someone over, and then starts chatting about his chicken tender or something to the guy he calls over before finally saying, and "oh yeah this guy's got an appointment". Whatever, I don't need these guys to be my friends, I need these guys to clean my car. I paid for a full detail, plus undercarriage wash, and an engine clean. Came out to $280 after tax, so it's a fair price but not the cheapest around. And you definitely need to double check their work - when they texted for me to come to pick the car up, I checked the bottom of the car and turns out they forgot to do the undercarriage at all. After waiting for that, I'm not sure the underside was the cleanest, and they forgot to roll down the windows and clean the upper edges of the windows, but at that point I was already running late, so good enough. At the end of all that, I still tipped 15% ($45) because they definitely worked hard to get my very dirty car looking respectable. Just make sure you're getting what you're paying for. I do feel like for $325 I'll find a better place next time. read more

I had my first car detail here, when my relatives purchased me a gift card for a full deep clean interior wash. Derrick and his team did an AMAZING job. I bought my car in 2018 and always just did my best to clean it myself and vacuum but my home equipment just did okay. The customer service was 10 stars from every staff member. My car came back to me in 2 hours on the dot as promised, literally just as good as new. I will only come here from here on out for the services and highly recommend you do too! read more

Best car wash experience I've ever had. It's obviously pricier than a normal car wash, but my small SUV (Mazda CX5) was cleaner than when I bought it originally. Service was quality too, texting me updates on when I could pick it up. If you want to COMPLETELY clean the interior (and exterior, but I mostly cared about the inside), this is the place. read more

Great job detailing my car along with excellent customer service. Darrell and Jhnonny were amazing. Will definitely be back! Thanks guys!

I was able to get a last-minute appointment for a car wash, and the service was great, friendly, and my car looked awesome.

I would come here just for the customer service alone. They were attentive, answered all questions and concerns, while keeping it real. Drop off and scheduling was quick and convenient. Work was quality and price was reasonable. read more

I had my car detailed at Inside Out near Eastern Market this morning and they did just a terrific job. My car looks better than it did when I bought it - just immaculate. The scheduling was done online where it's easy to see & understand which services are offered and their cost. You make an appointment online, which you'll be asked to confirm before the appointment. When I arrived they were ready for me, went over everything to be done and confirmed when the car would be ready - and it was. Good communication throughout and a great result! read more

Once again, excellent service from start to finish. Tim called me directly when I had to cancel due to a COVID diagnosis and when I rescheduled, he took the time to ensure I selected the appropriate services. I was in and out with no delay and not a hint of dog hair. Highly recommend this team for any car cleaning and detailing needs. The bonus was an engine clean that without Tim's prompting, I'd have never identified as a need, but now, it's on my list. read more

Watch out! Ive been using the C st DC location for years with good results. Today I was charged for parking whem I picked up my car and hour and 10 minutes after I was notified it was ready. I have picked up my car as much as several hours after completion in the past with no parking fee. I complained but paid the $11. Point is, if you leave your car there in the morning and pick it up after work, you will pay a rather large parking fee. Not really the convenience the website promises. Something is not right here. If you use the service, ask about the parking restrictions read more

I am SERIOUSLY impressed with this place and now will go nowhere else for my car cleaning needs! There really aren't a ton of options in Capitol Hill for car washing/detailing. My car is rented out on Getaround so it tends to get messy pretty regularly and I used to head out to Maryland to get it cleaned but I'm so glad I tried this place out! My car didn't need a full detail and essentially just needed a good vacuuming/inside cleaning, so I opted for the hand wash which comes with interior cleaning. I'll be honest, I was a little worried that it wouldn't be SUPER clean since I wasn't getting the full detail but I was willing to give it a shot. First off, the location is perfect... right next to Eastern Market. I only live a 10min walk away so it doesn't get more convenient than that! I was able to make my appointment online which I loved and it was confirmed via email and text. Dropped the car off and off I went to stroll around Barracks Row to shop and whatnot. I checked in at around an hour and they were still going, so I ran some more errands and came back to pick it up. My jaw seriously dropped when I saw how clean my car was! The interior was completely sparkling and I couldn't believe it wasn't a full detail. They did an excellent job! And at a cost of $55 for my SUV, the price cannot be beat especially for a location within DC! I couldn't be happier with the service and they absolutely have earned a lifetime customer now... I will be back! read more

I kept staring at my car and admiring how GREAT it looked after this amazing team finished detailing my vehicle. I mean it was a thing of beauty. It didn't look this good when I purchased it. The workmanship is remarkable. The price was right on point. The care the team took with my car was awesome. Super efficient car detailing place. Burke did a great job. You can schedule and manage reservations online. The service is provided in a parking garage and is very convenient near Eastern Market. It took about an hour and a half. I found it to be a bit on the pricey side but it's DC and they did a great job. Look forward to going back! read more

Absolutely incredible service by Darrell! He took care of my Mercedes last night as he was closing with a full outside detailing and washing and getting rid of all the dirt and grim off my car from all the construction dust around DC. Darrell got my car looking brand new! He was a great conversationalist while cleaning my car and it was overall a great first experience with inside out express car wash! My car was clean by hand quickly and he did not miss a spot! I will be back soon! read more

My car was "borrowed by people who didn't ask first." Apparently they smoked in the car and left a bunch of trash. The folks at Inside Out were extremely helpful and removed all the garbage. They were very kind and helped me through a less than pleasant experience. The car detailing itself was magnificent. We have a 3 yo and the car needed to get detailed anyway. Great job and thanks! read more

I have wanted to go to this car wash for years, I drive by it all the time. Finally pulled the trigger and I have mixed feelings. All of the positive reviews on here make me think I must have been there on an off day. Pros Exterior was pristine Carpets and interior was pretty clean too Cons 1- Since this car wash is in an underground lot, you can't really see everything until you get outside. My windows streaked like crazy and looked half done. 2- all of the guys I had talked to (in booking/dropping my car off) were gems. Amazing. The guy who was working on my car when I came to pick it up, not so much. Seemed like he didn't want to be there and he kept trying to get under my skin saying I had "four plastic water bottles" under my seats. Uhh...ok? 3- I got their most expensive package for a detail and there were definitely areas that were still dirty and overlooked 4- the detail took 40min longer than quoted 5- this one upset me the most, just because it was the most baffling. My car has a rubber insert in the cup holders (apparently, didn't know this until my experience here). I figured they would clean the cup holder during the detail. Instead they took the insert out and hid it in the trunk of my car. (Along with the four aforementioned empty water bottles) I'd probably go back to get my car vacuumed, but definitely not detailed. read more

If I could rate this car wash a zero I would. A few months ago, we took our only 2-year-old car in for a full detail. This was not our first time here, but after what happened, we will never be back. When dropping our car off, one of the attendants engaged me in conversation about the drop off, noticed we had some paint damage from a leaky pipe on our front hood/bumper, and suggested he could get it off if we added a "buff" to our service. I told him if he could get the dried paint off the car, I would pay for the buff, so I agreed. We then walked the car to note any other previous damage, or areas of concern. There were none. When picking up the car, all pick-up protocol was avoided and not performed. No guided finishing walk of the car was completed. Soon after, we noticed small paint chips all over the black paint of the car, that looked almost as if someone took a nail file to a pristinely painted black nail, leaving white markings behind. They were all over the doors, hood, and upper trim. Did the buffer leave marks behind? Was the buffer cover not fully over the metal? Did something else knick the car? Why was there sketchy behavior during the post-walk through? When we took it back to Inside Out to ask about what happened, the owner, Tim, initially acted very professional, promising to take care of it if we provided him with three quotes... THAT WAS INITIALLY. After getting the appropriate quotes to fix the damage, Tim changed his entire story and demeanor. His professionalism went out the window, he claimed that I lied about the attendant's actions during the intro and finish of the wash. He was not willing to assist in fixing the damage in any way and lied to my face about something that I had "apparently" said, according to this attendant. To get to the point here, we took this issue to insurance who took care of the claim, with absolutely no responsibility of ours. Inside out was held fully accountable. Our car is now beautifully repainted and we found a new, RELIABLE, car wash. read more

Just picked up my car from an exterior only wash with inside out and it looks amazing! Scheduling online is super convenient and IMO prices are very fair. Brought my brand new car in that was dirty as hell from all the salt and snow residue. That stuff looks terrible on a black on black car but now, it looks amazing!! Staff super friendly and on point. Would definitely come back again. read more

I was initially a bit cautious when the service manager suggested that I upgrade the level of service from the Inside Out Detail to a Full Detail. Great service and excellent results! Darrell was focused and efficient and made sure to address the mud that we had collected over the weekend on wet dirt roads. This is the best car wash I've found in the District, and it's not close. So far I've been twice, the first time to their Navy Yard location, and the second to their Eastern Market location. Both times were outstanding in terms of both service and quality. In the case of the Navy Yard location, I didn't realize that the wash service was only for residents of the building the car wash garage was located in; even so, they took my appointment and the owner kept in touch with me throughout to ensure the job got done. The result was a spotless car (GLK350) with a beautifully detailed interior, for less than $60. Same thing the second time around. These guys treat your vehicle like their own in terms of care and attention. Highly recommend! read more
