The Bagel Pub is a quaint corner bagel spot in Sunset Park and while I've known about it for some time, its not the most convenient for me since I live in Bay Ridge and there are plenty of bagel stores for me to choose from on any given day. This past Sunday however, I took a ride with my friend to the also nearby Costco as she and her family needed some things and while we were planning on the Dunkin Donuts that is right there, she wanted one of the tasty muffins from Bagel Pub. Once inside I viewed the cozy space which was mostly a food preparation area with a small corridor for the customers to line up and get their goodies. The bagels looked great but my own mindset was fixated on the DD "Meal Deal" today but my friend did get their muffin but nothing else. I didn't see any area where the customer can go and sit but from the outside there seemed to be an adjacent area that looks like its unused at this time. The COVID times changes a lot of places mode of operation and sometimes what used to be open isn't anymore but I digress. My friend and I did end up in Dunkin and she shared half of her poppy seed muffin so I can say that its super tasty and filling. I just wish that I had thought of taking a photo before it was in devour mode. This does seem to be a popular spot if you are a nearby neighbor but for me its on the distant side and I felt that it might be a little pricier than some of the places that I already go. Had we not been going to Costco I wouldn't have even been at this particular Dunkin Donuts. Maybe next time that this is the mission I will try something more substantial and update this Yelp.

Loaded with sesame, these come out piping hot. Eating them plain does not appeal to me, but I can tell these are high quality as well. Each item was under two bucks, which is insane considering the cost of food virtually everywhere else. I suppose that the volume they churn out allows such a steal. As suggested by the name, LBD serves up bagels - lots of them in different varieties with just as many cream cheese flavors to match. Beyond that, they're a deli with an extensive sandwich menu - plus other items one would expect to find (think bags of chips, bottled soft drinks, etc.). There's a lot of stuff in the space but it's set up nicely and they even have a small seating area in the back. I browsed their sandwich menu and the Porketta instantly stood out to me - not sure if the misspelling is intentional but I'm going with it. Anyway - everything on this sandwich was speaking to me - porchetta, broccoli rabe, sun-dried tomato, and fresh mozz. I mean, wow - you didn't need to tell me twice. It came on a hero as standard, but I didn't want that big of a sandwich so they offered a kaiser roll which I appreciated. The sandwich was excellent - it was steaming as I opened the wrapper, and everything tasted super fresh; it was a total yes. Service was also great - as soon as my colleagues and I walked in, we were warmly greeted and taken care of promptly. As if the sandwich wasn't enough, the customer service made this even more of a memorable experience. Overall, I had a great experience at La Bagel Delight - my sandwich was super tasty with quality ingredients and the hospitality was top-drawer. I would definitely consider returning next time I'm working in the area.
