Kosher Bagel Hole is simply the best bagel store in the Midwood / Flatbush area. Their breakfast specials are really good and the best part is that they are not cheap. They have always given me a very good amount of food whether I order from the specials menu or not. The food is always fresh, the workers are fast and always remember what I order. Not that I expect any store I walk into to remember anything about me but It really is a plus since I actually do eat by them every day I go to work. This shows that the workers do make an effort to remember people's orders and which customer doesn't like that? The store has many more things besides bagels such as salads, wraps, blintzes etc and of course they do not let you down on the coffee. They have different options to choose from like French vanilla, hazelnut, decaf and also dairy and non dairy creamers.

Would recommend not sitting directly in the aisle in front of the door if it can be helped as it's a major traffic area. We started with bread and za'atar, ended up getting the shawarma pizza and wings. So much food that we had to take the majority of the pizza home. Everything was so flavorful, cannot wait to come back.

The food here is next level and while I've been to many many Middle Eastern restaurants in my life, the offerings at this place were more varied- from the familiar to completely unfamiliar. And most of our servings were very generous, so, hello lunch tomorrow. What we ate- I had a pizza that wasn't a pizza but was really really good. No meat in mine but the folks who had meat liked theirs. The only person who wasn't tripping over themselves with joy had ordered a simple lamb plate. Oh. And on the cold night? The warm beverage which had, not kidding, ground orchid bulbs?!- it was so good I'm going to try to find it on the west coast. The place was pretty crazy busy but the very welcoming host(who was also the server) asked the bus person to set up a table upstairs. Before that happened we had a table. Turns out it was Ramadan which explained the crowd level. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in bklyn to try other things. Thx Ayat!

I ordered the chicken schwarma plate and falafel salad which were excellent - the fries were terrific and the overall atmosphere was to die for - it's a nice cozy space and the service was excellent The owner cares deeply about serving quality food at a reasonable price - they make challah bread over the weekends which sells out fast Definitely try this place you won't be disappointed

Israeli style with pickles, which I love. The chickpea soup was a standout. So flavorful and nourishing; definitely a nod to the sopa de garbanzos that I grew up with. The generous portion of labane is rich and complimented by herbs and an excellent olive oil. But it only comes with one pita! Personally, I'd prefer a smaller portion with more bread. Ok, first, let's be accurate about a few things. Etymologically, "batata" comes from the Spanish for "potato." This is a nod to "Sephardic" Jews, from the Hebrew word for the Iberian Peninsula (by definition, Spain and Portugal; after "expulsion," this came to include a diaspora more broadly northern African. In order words, western and southern European, not Eastern like Ashkenazi Jews.)

The eggs were cooked to perfection, the tuna was fresh and generous, and the coffee was so good I got another one to take with us on our walk through the park. Service was also great for a counter style restaurant. The place was small but had tables in the back and a clean restroom. Really great experience. I'd come back for the coffee alone, but I'm excited to try their curry bowls. Next time.

Usually the vibe is this: bright, airy, cafe featuring breakfast plates, many of them vaguely Mediterranean, with continuous additions made to the menu announced via large sign print outs taped up all over the walls and windows of the space. While he's tested out a burger spot, an ice cream concept, his most successful business has to be Cafe Madeline, directly next door to this here Atelier December. With Atelier December, and with Victorian Cafe over on Coney Island Ave and Cortelyou, he's pretty much replicated this formula with much success, as it was packed on the Monday afternoon I visited. Unique to this menu are the pancakes, which come in the flavors pistachio, hazelnut praline, lemon zest, and coconut. I opted for the coconut and it was the best thing on my table. The turmeric fried eggs plate I got sounded promising but was decidedly mediocre and way way oversalted. The cardamom latte was delicious. So some hits and one miss, but overall a solid cafe to get some work done, catch up with a friend, or to take yourself on a solo brunch date to.
