The pastries were even better than I imagined! The only downside is that this place is so popular that there's almost always a wait, but it's definitely worth it. My favorite is the ube bread. it's absolutely delicious! I was a little disappointed because I ordered a banana cookie, but when I got home, I realized they had accidentally given me a chocolate cookie instead. Going back means having to wait in line all over again Still, everything I tried was delicious and incredibly fresh!

I've been hearing about KORA since Covid times, when you could only order from them online. I was so happy for them when I heard they had an actual brick n mortar store! I love a success story! Kudos to Kora & Staff for all their accomplishments! Now that the hype has calmed down, it's much more accessible without having to wait on line for an hour. Yayyyy! We came on a Sunday, around 10:30am and there was no line but within 15 minutes, a line started to form outside. But kudos to Kora for keeping an orderly line: you wait outside, and when room inside the store frees up, they will let you in, around 10 people at a time. Once inside, you wait on line but it goes fast! Customer service is very patient and attentive. For first timers, it may be overwhelming to decide what to order since everything looks fantastic! On this visit, we tried: -- Ube Brioche Brioche ($7): this was oozing with ube goodness! Nice and creamy but I found the flavors a little mild. -- Leche Flan Brioche ($7): this was a powdered brioche donut with a round flan right in the middle. Very good. The flan was a little dense though. -- Blackberry & Jasmine Cream ($8): this Brioche donut was light n creamy. I found the flavors a little light but great texture. All in all, I'm so glad I finally got a chance to try Kora's! The presentation of all of their products are outstanding. I thought the flavors were a little mild; bolder flavors would have made these donuts stand out more. The pricing is a little high but I can appreciate paying more for a quality product. If the prices were lower, I'd probably go more often. So for now, this will be a once in a while treat...and what a treat it is!

I'm a sucker for unique pastries and baked goods so when I saw all of Kora's seasonal items on Instagram, I knew I had to stop by! I came on a Friday morning and there wasn't too much of a wait to purchase. I ordered their seasonal mint julep cold brew, a tomato focaccia, and a blackberry and jasmine cream donut and everything was phenomenal! The mint julep cold brew reminded me of Philz Mint Mojito but better, the focaccia had a nice crisp on the outside and was soft and fluffy on the inside and the subtle jasmine flavored cream paired so beautifully with the tart and sweet blackberry jam in the donut. I loved everything and I can't wait to go back to try out more of their baked goods!

Went there for pickup before our brunch and it was busy! We were asked to wait outside and line up until the space cleared enough so store wasn't over capacity. It was a nice day with folks sitting outside and eating so we waited. We ordered enough to fill two boxes and everything so far is delicious! My son decided he wanted the focaccia which was a yummy dinner side. And out of all the doughnuts I really like the ube the most. The peach was an impromptu pickup. Everything was good. We got the flan, coffee, ube, peach

We got to try the cinnamon, coffee, Ube, leche flan, peach & mango, blackberry & jasmine cream. And for the savory we had the spam and cheese pan suisse. The presentation of everything is BEAUTIFUL and the texture of everything is perfect! I felt that the cinnamon and coffee ones are a little be on a toned down side. I would like to taste more of the flavors Ube and leche flan are perfect! The flavors are there and the texture is amazing the cream is light and flavorful also The peach and mango is very tasty but a little bit too much on the sweet side for me Spam & cheese pan suisse has a hot honey coating. It taste so good!

3 years later and I'm happy to report Kora did in fact figure out their system! It's awesome seeing them go from the pre order era to now being a fully fledged brick and mortar bakery. The leche flan donut is just as good as it was back then. The newer pastries we tried were the peach and mango fritter, the coffee cruler, and the cacio e Pepe croissant. Just outstanding. We tried two of their coffee drinks, the seasonal mint Julep cold brew and the salted cocojam latte. The cold brew reminded me of the mint mojito from Philz Coffee in the best way. What really stood out to me though is that though there is a line outside the door, the line moves pretty fast and one of the owners welcomes/ushers the line along so that the bakery doesn't get too crowded. It was a nice personal touch.

I've been wanting to check out this place and I'm glad I got to on a Sunday morning. There are some tables and chairs to dine in. I highly recommend the spam pastry - so delicious! However definitely on the pricier side

The line isn't as crazy as when it first open since they can make more customers. They specialized in Filipino flavors. If you like brioche donuts, this is the place for you. They have a lot of other items including focaccia or open faced sandwiches. The cost is a bit high though it's worth it. If you haven't tried them, you need to try them.

This is my favorite bakery in NY so far. When I say there are no misses so far, I mean it. All the pastries I've tried are delicious and that's hard to do. Service is always quick and the line moves fast. The space has some tables and is very clean. I've tried the spam & cheese pan suisse, the kouign aman, the ube donut, the flan donut, the mango float donut, the calamansi basil donut, the macadamia sable. They're all good. I don't even know how to choose favorites but if I had to, the mango float donut from the summer menu is outrageously delicious. It's the perfect sweetness and amount of cream to mango chunks to mango puree to pastry. I also love love love the passionfruit matcha danish and the flan donut. Overall, I highly highly recommend Kora Bakery.

Amazing bakery. Extremely friendly service and the quality of the pastries here are a dream. I went on a Friday morning and most seats were occupied, but I was able to get a seat as the area is spacious and open. The standout here is the Mango Float donut. It's a seasonal special so make sure you stop by before it's gone! The chantilly complements the mango compote perfectly and without overdoing the sweetness. In fact, it wasn't too sweet, which is a huge compliment. If you're looking for decadence, the leche flan ni nola is great. Personally, it wasn't my favorite, but only because I think this made me realize I prefer leche flan as its own dish. Regardless, the quality of the flan was amazing. Had the perfect texture and caramelized taste. The drink--their seasonal matcha guava drink (the MSG)--was delicious. You definitely have to stir it as the guava at the bottom is a bit heavier than the other parts of the drink. But quality matcha and solid drink flavor profile. Felt very summery and fresh! I can't wait to go back another time!

I've been meaning to make it out to Kora for so long! I'm glad we finally made it out early on a Sunday morning. There was still a line, but pretty short. The cold brew was refreshing but a little sweet. The ube donut had a strong ube flavor but wasn't particularly impressive in terms of texture, flavor profile, etc. The flan donut was quite a standout for me. Obviously very heavy but split 4 ways it wasn't too bad. Unique concept, excellent execution = a fun and exciting experience. The flavors on the strawberry calamansi donut were particularly good - the sourness and sweetness of each fruit played off each other nicely. The croissant was pretty standard but I enjoyed it because I love cheese. I think it definitely could have been more cheesy and more crispy but overall no complaints. I'd skip the ube donut next tjme and would probably reorder the flan or the strawberry calamansi. I'm interested in their breakfast sandwich and other savory items. Definitely worth a trip out to Queens if you're a pastry fan like me

I've been wanting to try out Kora and so glad we did because it was worth the hype. We picked up a variety of their Filipino-inspired pastries, and every single one was fresh and well balanced. My favorite by far was the ube donut. The ube flavor was rich and earthy without being overly sweet. It was light, fluffy, and the natural flavor of the ube shines through instead of being masked by sugar. The matcha passion fruit donut was another standout with its creamy, tangy passionfruit filling which made it not overly heavy. The only thing is I can hardly taste any matcha. All the donuts and croissants were surprisingly light, fluffy, and decadent. Everything tasted fresh and not overwhelmingly sweet. Would definitely want to return for more when we're in the area.

I've been wanting to come here for a while as I also wanted to explore the Sunnyside neighborhood. I would say the best thing to get is the ube donut as well as the salted egg babka. I was sadly not a fan of the spam and egg croissant or the flan donut. The flan was too dense and thick for our liking, and I wasn't a fan of the sticky coating of the spam and egg croissant. Has potential, but needs a bit of improvement with execution - the flan could be lighter, ube cookie softer, and the spam and egg croissant could've been just crispy and buttery on the outside. 4/5

At one point, a street vendor even wandered into the restaurant and approached tables trying to sell baseball caps without any apparent response from the front of the house. The food was really, really good. All the flavors were on point. For the appetizer, we had some Crispy Chicken Skins. It was nice and crispy, but it needed some more salt. We had the Port Belly Kare-Kare, Beef Salpicao, the Pancit Palabok, Laing and Gambas. The one that stole the show was the Bagnet. That was mind blowing! Very flavorful and I highly recommend it. Dare I say that the food was better than Kabayan. The Key Of C band rocked the whole night through. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the great music. It was such a fun-filled night. Definitely worth coming back to whether it's for the food or the music.
