If you go with a party of 4, I highly recommend sharing the BBQ Meats sampler, the fried sampler, and some rice on the side. Both samplers were fantastic, and you get to try a little bit of everything. The only disappointing item was the bistec meat, which tasted old and rubbery, so I wouldn't recommend getting that. That said, I will absolutely be back next time I am craving Filipino food.

Amazing Filipino restaurant in NYC…read more I am visiting from out of town and I did see the video of Jordan Clarkson going over his favorite restaurants in NYC, so this was from his list. I loved it. The restaurant is located in Little Manila in NYC, so the vibes are already very Filipino which I love. This restaurant is very authentic Filipino, being in here felt like I was in the Philippines again. Everyone working here is so friendly and remind me of the Tito's and Tita's that would take care of you at the Filipino parties. I'm obviously biased being Filipino but I can say that the food was great and very well priced. The amount of food we got for what we ordered definitely had us bringing leftovers. I highly recommend the BBQ Sampler, it was only $30 and even that alone was enough to feed a family. There were so many things I wanted to try. If I lived in NYC I would probably be here too often. Come here and support the Filipino fam!!

We had the lumpiang Shanghai, chicken barbecue, pancit Canton, and a vegetable dish in coconut sauce. Everything came out fairly quickly and was flavorful and well prepared. I'd definitely come back for the food. Service was the weak point. Our order was taken right away, but our drinks were forgotten and no one checked on us again until we were basically finished. At one point, a street vendor even wandered into the restaurant and approached tables trying to sell baseball caps without any apparent response from the front of the house. The restaurant looks like it probably gets much livelier later in the evening. They were set up for music and advertise live performances, so 5 PM may simply have been too early to experience the place at its best. Overall, excellent Filipino food with service that could use some attention. I'd return, probably later in the evening next time.

The place has changed a bit, slightly different decor from the last time we were there. The atmosphere was more "bakya" than Kabayan (from across the street). Still nice. They kept the bar, which is good. The staff was friendly, but kind of rushed us to get our orders before the show started. They explained it would have been more difficult to take orders later. The food was really, really good. All the flavors were on point. For the appetizer, we had some Crispy Chicken Skins. It was nice and crispy, but it needed some more salt. We had the Port Belly Kare-Kare, Beef Salpicao, the Pancit Palabok, Laing and Gambas. The one that stole the show was the Bagnet. That was mind blowing! Very flavorful and I highly recommend it. Dare I say that the food was better than Kabayan. The Key Of C band rocked the whole night through. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the great music. It was such a fun-filled night. Definitely worth coming back to whether it's for the food or the music.

I highly recommend getting them with a side of rice if you need a quick meal. The sisig was not my favorite item - I found the dish to be a bit too fatty, but it was well seasoned. Unfortunately, the tocino was a bit dry. As expected, the lechon kawali and longanisa were absolutely banging, so I would highly recommend getting them! In terms of drinks - my friend thought their sago was way too sweet. The halo halo was good, but the ice is on the chunkier side. Overall, it's a pretty good spot if you are craving Filipino food.

Famous for its charcoal-grilled skewers and communal Kamayan platters, the restaurant delivers an authentic, down-to-earth dining experience. The sweet-and-savory grilled pork and chicken skewers are undisputed crowd-pleasers. They are caramelized to perfection and pair beautifully with garlic rice. The restaurant offers multi-person platters served on banana leaves. It's a great, interactive way for groups to try a variety of meats and seafood. Beyond the grill, fans frequently praise the crispy pata (fried pork knuckle), lumpia(spring rolls), and kare-kare (oxtail in peanut sauce). Widely considered one of the most reasonably priced spots for quality Filipino cuisine in the borough. The dining room is located on the second floor. It has a lively, casual atmosphere that often features loud music. While many diners highlight the friendly and humorous service, online reviews show mixed opinions about customer service, with some visitors citing occasional long wait times or abrupt interactions at the takeout counter. Still, it is a pleasant place to have a meal when opting for Filipino food.

I do wish the tables and seating were more comfortable-the tables are cute- they are made out of old singer sewing bases. However cuz the bases are narrow your knees constantly bump into it The chairs/benches are also very narrow so keep this in mind as you won't be sitting there long. The food was fairly priced for the portions and was cooked to order. I did wish that my fish dish was on the crispier side but it was very flavorful and pungent. The soup has a nice kick to it and our appetizer was delicious. Would def go back again to try more items.

I prefer the honeycomb from other places but it was good. I would definitely come back and try other items. They have what seems like a summer seasonal drink list that looks yummy. Overall great addition to the neighborhood! Yes it is city prices which at this point feels normalized at this point unfortunately.

Beautiful Interior, Underwhelming Experience…read more I've been wanting to visit Qawah Valley for a while because I kept seeing the beautiful decor, drinks, and desserts on social media. I finally got to try it today with my husband, and unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the hype. I love a good masala chai, so I decided to try the Adeni Chai based on its description. I asked the guy at the ordering counter for a recommendation, and that was what he suggested. I also asked about sugar-free drink options for my husband to try, and he simply pointed to the Splenda and sweetener packets in the corner. I was looking for an actual sugar-free drink recommendation, so that response was disappointing. The customer service felt dry and unwelcoming. I was genuinely excited to visit and was hoping for a warm, accommodating experience, especially when asking for a barista's recommendation. Instead, the interaction was a bit of a turnoff, and my husband ended up not ordering anything. I got the Adeni Chai and a baklava, spending under $15 for both. The baklava was okay--not bad, but definitely not the best I've had. For the price of the Adeni Chai, I expected more in terms of flavor and overall experience. The interior is beautiful, and I can see why the place looks so appealing on social media. However, a major concern is the lighting. The lights visibly flicker, even if it might not be immediately noticeable to everyone. For people who experience migraines or are sensitive to flickering lights, this could be a real issue. I even took a video in normal lighting and then dimmed my camera to help show the flickering more clearly. Overall, this was a mediocre experience. The ambiance looks great in photos, but the customer service, drinks, and food didn't impress me enough to make up for the shortcomings. I came in excited and left feeling underwhelmed. Would I come back? Probably not. Between the lackluster experience, the price, and especially the flickering lights, this just isn't somewhere I could comfortably enjoy spending time. Unfortunately, social media set my expectations much higher than the actual experience delivered.

Cozy spot, elite service... seating a little tight if you're 6'4" and built like a retired power forward, but we made it work. Started strong with the French Toasted Crème Brûlée -- buttery brioche, vanilla custard, crackly caramel top, bananas doing their thing. Absolutely dangerous. Washed it down with a Thai Iced Tea packed with so much flavor it should come with a warning label. Then the CHEF'S SPECIAL pulled up in a hot skillet like it owned the place: sunny-side eggs, sweet pork sausage, ground pork, tomatoes, carrots, seasoning sauce, pepper powder... cooked to perfection. If you've never had it, order it. If you're Thai, it might just hit you right in the childhood. Fun fact: Maison means home in French. Manee means precious gem in Thai. Translation? This place is a gem for Queens. Highly recommended. No skips.
