I wouldn't do business with this company, I requested a quote, they said they'd email it to me in a couple of days, a week went by and no one sent the quote/estimate, I showed up and they acknowledged I was there but they didn't quote a thing and wanted me to give them all the information again so they could sit on it again and don't send it again? no thanks. Very unprofessional. Update: they contacted me and tried their best, although the timing won't work for me at this time they certainly cared enough to contact me and try a solution. Simple shelf to build. First time customer. Came for lumber. Excellent service and attention at the service desk. Great guys pulled lumber from which I selected my shelf. Left with lumber cut to spec... not ripped. In and out in less than 15mins!! Loved that I was treated as a knowledgeable consumer and had my questions answered without feeling foolish- not always the case when I'm shopping at other lumber/hardware stores (girl meets "boy" world). Swung by after a long day's work just before closing time--a situation most store owners would not appreciate. No one batted an eye, but let me browse to my heart's content. Needed some catalogues and color chips for a replacement patio door slider that came off its track. A polite young gentleman assisted and gave me everything I need. Happened to be at the back of the store when some of the more seasoned pros were packing up for the day. A courteous, knowledgeable, and kind associate named Rick also helped me swap what I had for more appropriate literature that better matched the project. He gave me a mini education in sliders (alas, not the hamburger kind!) and even let me borrow an additional set of color keys. I went away feeling respected and valued as a potential customer. Not to mention way less stressed about finding the correct new door. We own two homes and I will be back for future projects in both. Five stars, hands down. You guys made my day. read more

Great selection of lumber with a huge drive thru covered yard. Worth checking out compared to Home Depot or Lowes where you risk body & limb loading up and the quality is higher imo (and a tad more expensive). Decent paint and lock departments too. Check them out. read more

When I went to Home Depot and they told me they had a long backlog I figured why not go to a regular lumber store. I went in to Koopman had to purchase a storm door I couldn't see because they didn't have it for display. Then I asked if they had installation. No, but they gave me names of people to ask. All three of those names were people who DIDN'T install storm doors and weren't interested in the job. I was told the door was coming in a week. It didn't. I was told it was coming again in two weeks, it didn't. Until finally a month had gone by and every time I called they said it was coming but it didn't arrive. This amounted to 3 days taken off of work. Finally, it was in. And I called my contractor to install it. When he got the door it was very hard to install... it had no pre drilled holes, is missing a handle for the screen pull down, and had a ding. And because I was not able to see it in the store it was different than I thought it would be. Next time... Home Depot. read more

Top notch service. My husband and I needed to buy shades for our home. Originally we went to Babels and was quoted and an outrageous price. Feeling discouraged we decided to try another place, enter Koopmans. We met Dave right away, he is over the top phenomenal. He showed us so many options, gave an excellent quote and came to our house that week for measurements. The blinds were installed yesterday. They are exactly what we had hoped for.
