a little disappointed because my friends had good experiences, but i had booked an appointment for my mom, which unfortunately due to illness, carrie had cancelled; this was okay! because of course things happen.. however, carrie did not offer a reschedule at all when she texted my mom about the situation, and never followed up. ive been looking at the website in case something opened up, but nothing ever did/still has not. this is just a small critique, to follow up on your clients that you cancel on, even if for good reason. read more

Carrie is such an amazing piercer! I went back in March (I believe) of 2024 to get my septum repierced after a medical emergency and she was very polite. I have never left a bad review before but I cannot honestly rate my experience here above 1 star. I came here last year to get my septum pierced. I was pierced not where the septum should be pierced but much lower so it looked ugly and it started to rise backwards, another sign that it was pierced in the wrong place. The jewelry I was given was very unflattering but I was reassured that it looked good by the piercer. My biggest ick of all is that there was so much pressure to tip. the door had a sign that said smth like "good tipping is good karma" and other reminders when checking out and even a verbal reminder from the piercer herself like who does that . I felt I had no decision but to tip. I was expecting to pay 60 dollars that day but instead paid over 90 for a terrible piercing. I took it out a month later after realizing the "swelling" that would make my septum ring rise backwards never went away. I got it repierced a few months later at Rebel Rebel Body Piercing and I never had those issues AND it actually looked good. Another thing I noticed is that my piercing at Koolsville hurt so much more than the same one at Rebel Rebel. Plus, it was significantly cheaper! I get mad every time I think about how this place robbed me of 90 dollars for a shitty piercing. read more

Carrie is AMAZING!! I had my nose pierced by her in 2017 and I've never had to have anyone else touch it since then. I had one side pierced already and she was able to symmetrically pierce the other nostril. She measures every angle of your nose and is so precise. She also pierced my septum and put numbing cream on before hand because I was so nervous about the pain. The shop has great vibes and is very clean & organized. Besides her amazing skills, Carrie is a delightful person. She's funny, welcoming, professional, and full of good vibes! I went here in April 2021, but forgot to post a review. If you've been thinking about getting a new piercing, look no further!! I went in for a conch piercing, which I was kinda nervous about because I heard it was painful. Carrie is the absolute sweetest, and she knows what she's doing. She made the whole experience as comfortable and painless as possible. She put numbing cream, and I don't know if it helped much, but the pain was literally a 1/10. Barely felt a prick. She also takes the time to explain aftercare which is really great. I highly recommend this place. Prices are very fair and place is very clean!! My friend got her earlobe pierced and I got my helix piercing and Carrie was absolutely amazing. She talked through my friend and I about cleaning and care and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. I sometimes get lightheaded and she had sugar cubes for me to have after when I did. If I could give this place a 3.5 I would. The service was good and my piercings did come out well. My real problem is that some of the studs they are selling to get with your piercing are just really bad options. I got a long hanging bar set for my two new lobe piercings and they've been impossible to sleep with without almost ripping them out. They tell you not to turn your earrings or mess with them at all but these turn on their own. My piercings are barely healed because I keep bumping the stupid studs and I've just now been able to deal with the pain of changing them after 3 weeks. I just really wish they wouldn't sell that kind of jewelry for a new piercing. Doesn't make much sense. The work they did was good, but just don't choose the wrong piercing. read more

Very knowledgeable with everything she is doing, walks you through step by step, and makes you feel comfortable even when you're doing something so obviously uncomfortable. I got two piercings done with her and it was smooth sailing. A couple of months later after sleeping on them and some discomfort, I noticed two bumps forming (she diagnosed them as keloids). I came right back to ask for advice on how to heal them, she stopped what she was doing and saw me right away. No more than one week after her advice, I saw noticeable improvements. If I ever have anything else done, I'm coming straight here. TIP: Texting her is the best way to reach her. She doesn't answer the shop phone when she's in the zone helping others. read more

I love Carrie! I'm still a dedicated client. She's so informative and thorough, she really knows everything there is about piercings and aftercare. She's willing to help no matter what the issue. I removed a belly ring for a couple weeks after having it in four years and couldn't get it back in. I called her to see if she could re-pierce it. She told me belly piercings don't close they develop a buildup if the ring is out too long and she'd be happy to place a new ring for me if I wasn't sure how to clear it up. She did this for free! She spent about half an hour making sure I was comfy and took her time. I came to her for my third lobe piercing and two cartilage piercings as well. I wanted to wait before writing a review just to see what the outcome of my piercings were. So far it's been great no pain really, I got my upper lobes and my cartilage pierced. Carrie was truly amazing and so patient with me, she made me feel so comfortable and answered all my questions. She broke everything down for me and I honestly loved my experience! She was able to help me decide what would look best on myself as well as my brother who came to get a piercing as well. I cried happy tears at the end of the piercing I am absolutely in love with my piercings! For my three piercings it was 80 dollars she took off ten I don't know what the average price is but I felt that was beyond fair. Also I tipped her because she totally rocks, it was a bit of a long process but that's because she takes the time to measure out your placement and make sure you're happy with it. So be patient with her and if your waiting just know she's not going to rush you when she's with you. Also she doesn't answer the phone or even look at when she's piercing you which is great and she's got a gentle touch which is nice! If I ever decide to get more I would definitely go to her!! I have a very low pain tolerance and I am glad I went to Koolsville. I found this place on yelp and I was not disappointed. When I was younger I had ear piercings but it closed up and I never got it again. Today I went in and got them re pierced! She used a numbing cream and tried her best to distract me. The first earring, I couldn't even feel anything and the second one, there was a small pinch. Carie is very knowledgeable about piercings and she truly cares for her customers.
