From the start, Gina's communication was clear, patient, and very understanding, which really helped ease any nerves. Quick note: this review will be from Dec Friday the 13th first and also from my most recent visit on Jan 10th 2025 Parking overall is small but I can say that if you struggle a bit definitely worth it December Friday the 13th tattoo flash was definitely an experience as I had never done it. Everything was very well organized. There was a table outside to do check in whether it was tattoos or piercings. The girls there were great and explained the whole process, despite being packed, they were definitely cool, chill and provided great customer service. My kids were getting piercings and I was getting a small tattoo. Once it was our turn to go in, we made our payment and waited for a few more minutes. For my tattoo GinaVee was my artist that night and she was awesome. Tattoo placement was perfect. As for piercings Travis was their piercer and I have to say that every single staff member were still courteous and gave good vibes overall. Cleanliness overall 10/10 Now as for most recent visit, I had scheduled an appointment with tattoo artist Apolo for mom & daughter tattoo sesh. It was my daughter's first tattoo and he made her feel comfortable and was very professional. She was looking for a specific color to get done and Apolo did give a suggestion in regards the color due to skin color. My daughter took suggestion and Apolo did some color mixing and was able to get a color to her liking. Now it was my turn to get inked and for me, this was not first time obviously but it was my first time getting tattooed by Apolo. Again, he makes you feel comfortable and is professional. I felt he was done in a blink of an eye with both me and my daughter. I mean it was a small tattoo but only because I didn't want my daughter to do something bigger being that it was her first tattoo. I did schedule with Apolo again for February. WOW!! Came in as a walk in, on my way to Thriftyland lol and had the best experience. The shop itself is beautiful. Very open, organized, and plenty of flashbooks offered near the front desk. The girl at the front desk was super chill and kept up with my banter, which I appreciated. Edgar was my artist and he was AWESOME. I have had some bad experiences with artists causing some scarring from having a heavy hand and it was quite the opposite with Edgar. I was so worried about getting my knee tattooed again and his touch was so light that it was truly painless compared to some other tattoos I've had done. His lines are super clean and his work is precise and QUICK. He had me out of there in under 30min. I also appreciated how much time and care he took making sure I was pleased with every aspect of my tattoo before starting. He was patient and gentle throughout the process. The piercer is not professional , he used a short lip ring and it ended up imbedding inside my lip, and I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed because when I text him that the jewelry was hurting and the jewelry was too short he said he used a long one, I told him I would wait a few days and keep him updated to see if it would get better, but it didn't. It got worse, and when I text him, he never replied back and mind you I tipped him. I don't know about the tattoo artist, but don't trust the piercer horrible experience.!! read more

I got in contact with him, and he is super friendly and approachable, even just through messages. The pricing is fair, the deposit was fair, and the quality of work is stunning. Next month (today) I went in for the tattoo and was immediately greeted by both the ladies up front and Rick himself. REVIEW ON PIERCING- I came down to so cal to celebrate my bday a couple weeks ago. My mom and I met up with my sister and found out she wanted another piercing and was gonna search around for a place. I took that as a sign for me to get one cause I was never the type to just get a piercing/tattoo just cause. I really thought about it for YEARS! also cause my cultural background lol anyways... We searched and called a handful of places that either did not take walk ins or was very weird and/or rude. Then we called this place; no issues at all and good feelings talking to the person who picked up and they accept walk ins! The universe was still telling me it's time to get a piercing! Lol if this call didnt go well I wasnt going to get one. We walked in and was greeted right away. It wasnt busy at all for it being a Thursday in the late afternoon. It was the usual tattoo parlor and it was clean. There was one customer ahead if us and the wait wasnt long at all. The guy that pierced us was really funny. He made it comfortable for us even when were got a bit nervous. He was super patient too cuase I kept asking stupid questions even after he answered them lol he wore gloves and made sure he used sterile tools; he is very good on changing out his gloves every time he touched something else. I absolutely LOVE this shop! Let me preface by stating that I do not live in or near the area--I come down from the Bay Area to get tattooed by Rick and it's worth every mile! I found this place by accident when a fallacious tik-tok led us to the sadness that is thriftyland101. After an extreme disappointment at the thrift store, I came across some of Rick's vday flashes and was stoked to get one! He unfortunately was off that day but they gave him a call and he made his way to the shop to tattoo me ON HIS DAY OFF. I've had such bad experiences before with ego-driven artists who aren't easily relatable but Rick was friendly, humble and very intentional with his pieces, and it definitely manifests in his art--they guy is HELLA TALENTED. Aside from the phenomenal experience that I've had with the artist, the shop is VERY clean and is even 420 friendly which is definitely clutch when getting a big piece. Overall they have amazing customer service--not to mention the playlists hella slap so it's definitely a vibe. I loved my ghost boy so much that I have been back twice and on two separate occasions to get a pair of portraits of Lilly and Herman munster which look insane, so much detail and color! Not gonna lie I still have ptsd from this place from Friday the 13th. They were taking cash but wouldn't do change, you had to bring the exact amount which is a BIZZARE practice. When it was time for our tattoo this group of ladies that work there accused us of writing a one star review before we got the tattoo. There was 4 or 5 of us and none of us did it. They kept on going back and forth with us so we basically wasted 20 minutes of our time arguing with them because of the accusations. They said they won't tattoo us because of the review and but eventually they did because they couldn't prove who did it or not and we already paid. They were basically stalking the yelp account of who left the one star review and it was shocking to see as a customer......they were hurt because ONE bad review. We are a group of black girls, I was told after I left they kept on refreshing the yelp page to see if the review they got was removed. Overall, I would not recommend coming here they are extremely unprofessional. The tattoo I got was blown out anyway. I regret big time. The customer service was atrocious, the accusations over a review and the integration from it was uncalled for. Please learn some hospitality. read more

I went to Anaheim Ink on Friday the 13th looking for a simple tattoo. The artist I got took an hour and a half to do a 3 x 3 tattoo and it came out terrible. There are multiple lines that are not supposed to be there and half the shading is not even shaded in. This isn't my first tattoo and I took care of it and it still ended up scarring in almost every spot. Easily the worst tattoo I have ever seen. If you're looking for a good tattoo shop go to Black Palm in Tustin. They did the picture of the skull with a snake wrapped around his head in 35 mins for the same price as this tattoo($100). I heard amazing things about this place, when I called to request a consult they were very polite and professional I was stoked to find a talented female tattoo artist and I was excited for my new ink. I scheduled an apt and gave them a 50 dollar deposit for my design to be drawn... on my way home from the apt my daughters heart specialist called and said they only had that same day and time available so I called Anaheim ink to reschedule which the graciously did. No issues. Well a few weeks later I found out I was pregnant so I had to reschedule again and so I messaged them and they told me I had to forfeit my deposit and they would not be drawing me out a tattoo, that once I had the baby I could come back in and give them another 50 dollars and they would then draw out my design. All because I had already rescheduled my tattoo once. That is something beyond my control and it's completely unprofessional to treat someone like that because of a pregnancy. read more
