Her selection of earrings for babies and her expertise and patience were very reassuring. She started off with numbing each ear lobe with numbing cream for 15 min. Afterwards she measured and marked the center of each lobe and showed us the result. Once everything was set, she pierced each ear and took her time which we appreciated. Our baby girl didn't cry which was very surprising to us! Cleo then demonstrated how to clean each ear lobe and sent us on our way. We recommend using her for your baby. I am so happy I found this place! I took my daughter in to get her ears pierced at 9 months old. It was very important to me to have her ears pierced with a needle and not a piercing gun as it heals much better and there is a lower risk for infection I believe. Cleo was very nice and informative. She really took her time and was very precise. I did not feel like the service was rushed at all and everything seemed super sanitary. Cleo went over everything with my husband and me, we selected the earrings we wanted (14k gold with Swarovski crystal), and signed forms. She numbed my daughter's ear with topical numbing. Once numbing was done, she measured both ears and marked the spot she was going to pierce. My baby cried when she got the piercing (expected), but settled pretty quickly after. We gave her a bottle of milk immediately after and she was okay. She did end up waking up a bit more that night, I'm sure because her ears felt warm or were sore, but by morning she was back to normal! Came in here to get my (don't laugh) 18 year old cartilage hoop earring replaced. I didn't get any new piercings, but my only prerequisite was that it had to be gold. So I did do a bit of research online, and stumbled across Cleo's business with rave reviews. My daughter wanted to pierce her ears. I started asking friends about their experience and often came across cases where ears were pierced unevenly or hygiene was poor. And then several people at the same time advised me to contact Cleopatra. There was no appointment on the website for the near future (we wanted to pierce our ears before returning to school) and we decided to go. When we arrived, we found out that everything was booked and were about to sign up for the following week when they called in front of us and rescheduled the appointment. All we had to do was wait 30 minutes. Ear piercing for my daughter was not just a procedure. It became a whole event that she will definitely remember. Cleo helped her choose earrings, explained how the procedure was done, she was very nice and left only positive emotions. My 7-year-old sat like an adult in a chair. I was afraid that she would cry. I looked around at a lot of places to pierce my 3 month old daughters ears and I'm so happy I decided to go with cleopatra! After reviewing all her yelp reviews I was confident she would do a great job with piercing my daughter's ears! I was so nervous for my daughter! She has a very nice area and it's bright clean space. You make the appointment online and have a 30min time slot. She actually spent 45 mins with us! I pierced my ear and my daughters. She does use a needle which I did extensive research on the internet and that's the method that's more sterile than the gun piercing. She measures multiple times before piercing the ear. She does numb the ear as well. It didn't hurt at all! It was a little pinch. The piercing with the needle is really painless! My daughter did cry which was normal and did bleed very little in one ear but she was fine after a few minutes. It's been a week and she's doing great with her piercings!! Highly recommend Cleo!! I had already been researching places of where I wanted to take my 6 month old to get her ears pierced. The night of December 27 I went on a mission to find a local piercer with more of a beauty shop. I was looking to avoid tattoo shops because my mom was going to be with me and I knew tattoo shops would make her uncomfortable so I was really happy when I came across Cleopatra's as recommended on Yelp. Not only was it local but the shop looked cute from what I saw on Instagram.   I managed to book the very last appointment for December 28 using the website. The process was super simple. I had to put down a $20 deposit to book my appointment, which goes towards the service you receive. If you're a no-show, Cleo, the shop owner keeps it, which is more than fair. I made it to my appointment with 15 minutes to spare and loved what I saw when I walked into Cleopatra's. It's very quaint, clean, well-lit, and welcoming! I loved the cute holiday decor and the vast display Cleo had of jewelry. It's all SO pretty and Cleo herself is so sweet and has a calming presence about her. I didn't feel nervous at all once I met her.   When I first arrived, I had to sign a release form. While I did that, Cleo started setting up to pierce me. Once I was finished signing, it was time to decide how many piercings I wanted. I wasn't sure how many I'd be able to fit on my lobe. Cleo looked at my ears and said I'd be able to do 3 lobe piercings per ear aside from the main piercing I already had.   She asked me if I wanted 4 or 6 lobe piercings. I was unsure so she told me she'd mark my ears so I could see what it would look like with 6. She started by sanitizing my ears. Then she marked my ears with red ink dots so I could see where the piercings would go. She used a ruler to make sure the dots were evenly spaced. While she did this she had me hold a handheld mirror so I could see the process, which I appreciated. Once all six dots were marked on my ears she had me look at them to decide what I wanted. I was happy with what I saw so I decided to get all 6 piercings in one session. I'm very grateful to Cleo for accommodating all 6 piercings because the website states she does max 4 per session but she thankfully was able to squeeze in all 6 for me in one go.  Once my decision was made, she put a numbing cream on both the front and back of my ears to help with the pain. It takes 10 to 15 minutes for it to take effect. While I waited, Cleo had me look at the selection of earrings she had. I went for the cheapest earrings because I knew the bill was going to be hefty between 6 piercings and 6 studs. I ended up choosing 2 studs that were $35 each and 4 smaller studs that were $30 each, making it a total of $190 just for earrings. She also had gold options but those are obviously pricier. Once my jewelry was selected, she sanitized it all which only took a few minutes. Finally, it was time to get pierced. Cleo had me take a seat in her comfy white chair. She already had needles ready to go. One for each piercing. Plus the earrings I chose with her help. She had me look straight ahead at the mirror behind her register, and then it wasn't long before she started piercing me. She was very quick and efficient. As soon as she'd pierce me, she'd put the earring in. I won't say it was painless because that would be a lie, but it honestly was not that bad. I was able to easily tolerate the pain. Although, I do have to note, that getting my left ear pierced hurt far more than my right, but again, it wasn't that bad. No tears were shed in the process and with how fast she went it was easy to sit through all six piercings in one session. After she completed the first 3 piercings she had me look in the handheld mirror and I loved what I saw. She moved on to my left ear and got that one pierced in no time. Before I knew it I had six new piercings. Once all six piercings were done, Cleo went over the aftercare instructions with me. She showed me how I need to take care of the piercings twice a day at home. She was very patient and answered any questions I had. Once I understood what I needed to do, she gave me a bottle of the solution I needed to use to take care of my piercings and bagged it up for me along with the earrings I was wearing when I showed up to her studio. She told me to avoid wearing my regular earrings for 24 hours. Finally, it was time to pay. Cleo broke down the cost for me and showed me how much I'd have to pay for the piercings themselves. It was $35 per piercing times 6, which came out to $210.  She made sure to show me that she removed the $20 deposit I had paid to book the appointment so instead of $210 I only had to pay the remaining $190 for the 6 piercings. Then she showed me on her calculator that the earrings came out to $190 for all 6 studs. It ended up being a hefty sum for 6 piercings and 6 studs but I think it was worth the splurge and am excited to be able to change up my earrings in the future. After much research, I decided to get my 5-month old baby girl's ears pierced at Cleopatra. It got rave reviews for cleanliness and quality of care and service. Please note th Cleopatra is inside Sola Salons in the Woodbury Plaza. My husband and I were very happy and satisfied that we went here. Bora was amazing! She answered all our questions, was super patient with us, and very gentle and kind with our baby while she was piercing her ears. The entire process takes about 20-30 minutes and it is only by appointment. First, Bora cleaned my baby's ears and applied numbing cream. While we waited for the numbing cream to kick in (about 10-15 minutes), we chose her earrings. Bora was helpful and recommended earrings that would best fit her ears. Once we chose a pair of earrings, she sterilized them. After, she marked her ears. Before she pierced them, she made sure we were okay with the placement. Finally, it was the moment we had been waiting for... I was so nervous, anxious, excited, etc. My heart was beating so fast. It was over and done with in a couple of minutes. I would definitely recommend Cleopatra for your piercing needs, especially for babies. My wife and I are glad that we chose to come here to get our daughters ears pierced. We knew that we did not want to go to a Piercing Pagoda or any other mall stand. I made an appointment online the day before and had to pay a $20 deposit that went towards the service. Cleo's keeps her suite very sanitized and put a new plastic cover and small mat for our baby. She then put some numbing cream and let us choose the earrings (sold separately). Based off our baby's ear size she made a recommendation, although we initially wanted diamonds she explained why she recommended otherwise for now (due to ear size, and baby tendencies). Although it was a bit tough to watch our little girl cry when the needle went through, Cleo handled it quick and was very clean/precise with her measurements. The storefront is located within the Sola Salons in a suite to the left within the Woodbury shopping center adjacent to Ralph's. The place was super clean and everything was sanitary. The earrings they have are hypo-allergenic and there's a great selection. Many are very dainty and perfect for first time piercing.
