A close friend of mine and I came here in January. Getting piercings together was our third stop during our girls day in the OC. Unfortunately, parking at The Camp isn't all that great. I have yet to find a spot by myself so I just bit the bullet for paying for valet. We came in an hour before closing and were greeted by Samara - who did a wonderful job getting us set up for our spontaneous piercings! We were then directed to Lucas. He did my friend's tragus piercing and my dual lobe piercings. I haven't been pierced since I was a baby, but Lucas made the whole experience real easy. Overall, he's a super chill guy that makes an effort to strike up a conversation and make you feel comfortable about the whole process. Other than the fleeting hot sensation from the initial pinch, the process was pretty painless. Bonus: we got some sick stickers featuring his bull dog Everyone we met at the shop was friendly, knowledgable, and professional. Their website is also a fantastic resource in case you don't ask all of your questions about healing in-person. My friend and I truly felt like we were in great hands so kudos to everyone for setting such an easygoing vibe. I've been back a few times since January for a quick monthly check and to get my piercings downsized recently. As expected, I was met with top-tier customer service, true to the shop's personal brand. I feel confident coming back for future piercings. Lastly, if you're downsizing - I highly recommend making an appointment. I was in and out (no more than 15 minutes), but I was surrounded by 4+ walk ins. I had a truly unfortunate experience. I read all the positive reviews and wanted to love this place but instead of professionalism, I was met with rudeness, arrogance, and an obvious undertone of condescension. It was as if they're so used to having rude customers, that they treat everyone as such. When I asked about pricing, she immediately assumed I wanted the cheapest option and kept insisting on it even though I was clearly looking at the more expensive options. It was not only insulting but it was as though they had already judged what I could afford based on how I looked. Disgusting. Things only got worse from there. Asking for clarification on a piercing process that I'm obviously not an expert in only visibly irritated the staff members more. One even felt the need to jump in and address me in a way that felt unnecessarily dehumanizing. The interaction wasn't helpful and I was so turned off by how I was being spoken to that I no longer wanted the piercing at all. The shop is spotless and extremely well-run, something I really appreciate as an older professional. Contacted them through Yelp and Samara was great getting everything figured out. We worked out what exactly I wanted and set up the appointment with Mario all over Yelp messenger. This was my first tattoo so I was pretty nervous but Mario was great. He drew up my sketch and took my slight changes and made it beautiful. Mario was very friendly and we had a great chat while he worked. My tattoo ended up costing $100 less than they originally quoted too so that was just an added bonus. I absolutely recommend him and Outer Limits and I will be going back when I'm ready to add more to my tattoo or get a new one. I also went to Outer Limits years ago to buy a new back to my cartilage piercing when it fell out because they were the only one not requiring an appointment just to buy jewelry during COVID. Glad to find an APP certified piercer nearby work! I had an older piercing randomly flare up and couldn't wait for an appointment in a few days. I had seen Outer Limits on the safe piercing .org website and wanted to check them out. This place was pretty busy right at open (including a walk in) and they were on time regardless. The gal working the counter was helpful at quoting the pieces I was looking at and helped me pick out what was going to work. Always get quotes for the jewelry! Do not be shy! These pieces range in price and if you're looking at gold tops for BVLA you'll want to know the price. Hanna provided me with a troubleshooting need as well as a downsize. I have been coming to outer limits here and there for the past 10 years and have never had an issue with my jewelry.Their jewelry is HIGH quality golds, white golds, silver? And titanium. The price ranges can vary depending on what you get. I have succumbed to yet another addictive hobby that is ear piercings! I came in about 5 months ago on impulse to get a double helix and daith. I was lucky enough to have Luc as my personal piercer. He is very knowledgeable and will tell you how it is. Luc KNOWS HIS ANATOMY. He was skeptical about the real estate space for my daith. After his long and intensive analysis, we decided to carry through as long as I took care of it to decrease chances of it getting infected and leading to migration of the piercing. Behold, the cutest and snuggest little daith piercing was born. Circling back to Luc telling it how it is, he has scolded me for 1) sleeping with wet hair and 2) cleaning my helix with q tips (sorry again). WONT HAPPEN AGAIN BOSS!!! (He examined my ear due to an irritation bump on my top helix, and I was proven guilty as charged :( ) I came back for a second visit for a possible double vertical stacked lobe piercing. Luc suggested having a piercing on either side of my stretched lobe. I said "f it" and it turned out beautifully! It is different than your typical lobe piercings and it customized to my anatomy which is so dope. I have a lot of respect for Luc's creativity, professionalism and knowledge. I would like to say we are at the point where if he gave me a recommendation for piercing location AND jewelry I would not hesitate because I whole heartedly trust him. I feel 100% comfortable in the shop. He makes the piercing itself practically pain free for me, and inserting the jewelry is quick as well. I also love the gals in the front, they work well with Luc and are TRANSPARENT about all the pricing and pieces you are purchasing. Anyways, thanks Outer Limits for the fun experiences! I have been wanting to get a cartilage piercing for awhile and fibally bit the bullet and did it. I was searching for piercing parlors since my only experience with piercings is from Claires (lol), and a friend told me he had a good experience here so I gave it a try. My bestfriend and I came here originally to just see their jewlery options and WOW were we impressed! They had a huge selection of different pieces, it was a little overwhelming honestly. So so many cute and modern pieces of all different sizes. The staff here was very welcoming and friendly! We made small talk with them and they really made us feel comfortable. My friend and I eventually just said yolo and got pierced that day! Granted they DO NOT normally take walkins but we were lucky the guy that helped us told us he had openings right now. Our piercer even helped us pick out pieces that could fit the area we wanted to get pierced. It was nice hearing his recommendations. The experience was great! They made you have a mask on when getting pierced, sanitized thoroughly and walked you through how the piercing would happen. I have a terrible pain tolerance but he literally had the hands of an angel because I felt no pain! I got this done in October 2022 and am still healing but so far I have had no issues!! Similar to some other one-star reviews I've seen, I've been here a few times to inquire about piercings and shop for jewelry and unfortunately have had an extremely negative experience each time. The people who work at the front desk seem annoyed and irritated whenever asked about pricing and were especially condescending when I brought in my own stud (front piece) to search for a post that would fit. (For context I have multiple healed piercings and have switched out my own before with no issues.) The piercers are fine and I appreciate that they are APP Certified, but I would definitely recommend going elsewhere for a shop that is more welcoming and friendly (such as At Last Piercing in Garden Grove) especially if it's your first time getting a piercing. read more

SHADY! DO NOT GO. Purchased over $300 dollars for 14k studs. A few weeks later I was very confused to notice my backing was not 14k, but an iridescent titanium!!! The woman on the phone said that it is not there standard procedure to use 14k backings, that they were trying to save me $$$ by using titanium backings. Are you kidding!? They not only did not disclose this upfront, they automatically gave me backing of a completely different color, and cheaper material. I said who has ever been to a store that sells jewelry, and doesn't not include the backings if you buy studs. You literally can't wear studs without the backing! It's half the jewelry. You would think that given the 7-8x the mark up you already pay, that you would at least get the other half of the same material, right?! Keep in mind, you have to buy their jewelry no matter what. You cannot bring in your own earrings. I told the woman on the phone that this should have been disclosed ahead of time. She said she would pass on my message to the piercer. This also did not make sense, because my piercer was not the same person who sold me the jewelry at the register. In the end, she would not pass along my request to the actual owner, only to the piercer which does no good. She would also not give me 14k backings for the 14k studs I purchased. All the workers were very stuck up and rude - I went by for a quick question and for some new jewelry couple weeks ago and from the moment I walked in I could not only feel the distasteful energy in the place but could audibly hear the workers from both the tattoo shop and piercers making off the wall comments about being a walk-in. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bummed that I have to make this review. The shop is wonderful, super clean and good customer service - however the piercer (one with stretched nostrils) pierced my navel incorrectly. It should have been properly placed (pierced down straight through my navel) but instead he pierced it up WAY too high - making it a surface piercing - leaving me with ugly scar tissue. He was very polite and seemed knowledgeable which is why I am confused to how he could have made this mistake? Needless to say, I won't be coming back here and is just an important reminder to go to piercers that are familiar with female anatomy. UPDATE: Even more frustrated with this shop and the piercer Gregg. I went in a few days after making my original review to talk to someone in person to see if we could clear this issue up. I walk in and Samara greets me and helps me out by listening to my situation and letting Gregg (the one who pierced me) that I'm there. He's helping out a big group of people before me so I'm waiting for a bit. No biggie. The thing that pissed me off though is after sending the client he pierced to Samara for payment, he continues to talk to another customer for about another 10 minutes. The customer was asking basic piercing questions, one where Gregg probably could have redirected her inquiries to someone else because tbh I did not feel like I was being prioritized, despite this serious situation. He didn't even acknowledge me or let me know he would be done soon to help me out. I just ended up walking out and Samara calls me a bit later apologizing for the inconvenience and offered to set up an appointment so I don't have to wait (which I appreciate). However, I'm just not going to waste my energy any further at this place, especially after that and the response they gave me to my Google review. I know for a FACT this piercing was done incorrectly. There is no 'lower hole under the flap on my navel'. What they are referring to is a shadow lol. Gregg turned my should have been navel piercing into a surface piercing that rejected painfully and ugily. There's a couple red flags to this response. 1) they added the ending part to their response 'we can totally check it out if you'd like to come by' AFTER I came in. You can't really be sure from a photo and it's the fact they were so confidence in that response for something so serious like a body modification is alarming. 2) I also have been to a billion other piercing shops (one where all my piercings have healed and turned out fine) and they have NEVER been so adamant about monthly check ups. If you pierce it right and take care of proper after care on your part (which I did and I also have a billion other body modifications that I have experience with) you wouldn't have to come back. It's that simple. Please do not go here. Protect your energy and peace by going to a shop that actually cares about its clients. read more

Came in just to purchase 3rd hole earrings because my old ones fell out. The front desk experience sucked on terms of attitude. No one told me they were going to put the earrings in for me. They had me sign a release form and I stood there for like 3mins until Hana was like "are you ready?" and I was thinking ready for what....? So she brings me back to put the earrings on me and I'm like okay I guess. She then puts a rod in my ear and it hurt A LOT(my piercings are fully healed). Note: I just got a surgery to close my gauges but I put in my 2nd hole piercings just fine without pain. I asked her why it hurts and she said because of my surgery, I said not possible so she said they carry a certain size and that's their smallest and my piercings must've been a size smaller, so SHE STRETCHED MY EAR without my permission! :( I was not consenting to that at all, but it was too late the jewelry was already in my ear. I really wanted to get a tattoo here but I'm not well versed in tattoo pricing and language. I asked how much a tattoo would be for 3 minimal/small ones (literally one tattoo were 3 lines). Person who assisted me at the front said each tattoo artist would have a $100 minimum, but I had no idea what that meant. $100 minimum per tattoo?!?! Or per visit? Or per session? I wish they had a set price for size and more clarification on their pricing. I get artists want to be paid for their time, but I really walked out feeling puzzled on the possibility I was gonna be charged $100 per tattoo instead of the whole session for all three.
