I have yet to find a spot by myself so I just bit the bullet for paying for valet. We came in an hour before closing and were greeted by Samara - who did a wonderful job getting us set up for our spontaneous piercings! We were then directed to Lucas. He did my friend's tragus piercing and my dual lobe piercings. I haven't been pierced since I was a baby, but Lucas made the whole experience real easy. Overall, he's a super chill guy that makes an effort to strike up a conversation and make you feel comfortable about the whole process. Other than the fleeting hot sensation from the initial pinch, the process was pretty painless. Bonus: we got some sick stickers featuring his bull dog Everyone we met at the shop was friendly, knowledgable, and professional. Their website is also a fantastic resource in case you don't ask all of your questions about healing in-person. My friend and I truly felt like we were in great hands so kudos to everyone for setting such an easygoing vibe. I've been back a few times since January for a quick monthly check and to get my piercings downsized recently. As expected, I was met with top-tier customer service, true to the shop's personal brand. I feel confident coming back for future piercings. Lastly, if you're downsizing - I highly recommend making an appointment. I was in and out (no more than 15 minutes), but I was surrounded by 4+ walk ins. It's really easy to do so over their website vs. calling.

I really love everything about this shop. I am big on vibes and here everything is positive. All of the artists with whom I came in contact were friendly and welcoming. The music was an eclectic mix from Snoop to Frank Sinatra. My artist was Julio Padilla. When I told him what I wanted, he drew a piece that was exactly what I asked for and more. This was my first black/grey tattoo, and I was so excited to get started. He was very meticulous with his station and his tools. He cleaned everything thoroughly including my arm. He made sure I was comfortable and we chatted about random topics for the first hour. After that, he knew that I just wanted to close my eyes and relax my mind and body. This was my 5th tattoo, and I don't like it when an artist feels like they need to keep talking and talking. Afterward he gave clear instructions and he told me to call when I was ready for my next session. The piece took 3 sessions with the last being more of a detailing session. I liked that after each session the tattoo looked good. I wasn't walking around with an obviously unfinished tattoo. The price was fair and my tattoo was well-worth the time and money. My overall experience was great. Since then I brought my daughter in to have a back piece for her 18th birthday by Julio, and we both love it. I have had strangers stop me to compliment my tattoo and ask where I got it done. I am planning my next tattoo, and I will definitely be back at Blue Collar. read more

This is the only shop I ever plan on going to again!! I've been here 3 times now, each time with a different artist. They have all been so kind and patient and are 3 of the highest quality tattoos I have on me. I saw their work on instagram and saw Willie had done some really good handwritten tattoos so I emailed him and got a quick response. At the appointment he was super nice and made me feel super welcomed. The tattoo also turned out great! I came back on friday the 13th and was in and out within 2 hours (which is super fast compared to the 5 hours I once waited at another shop). I wanted to mesh 2 of the flash tattoos together and Danny made it happen! Even though there were a bunch of people there, he didn't seem like he was just trying to get through as many clients as possible like I've seen other places. Today, I walked in with a friend and wasn't quite sure what I wanted, but Siena was super cool and made my SUPER vague ideas into a reality. I asked her to frame a really small existing tattoo that I had and she made it look like it was all one tattoo which was amazing!! I've been to several tattoo shops before, but none made me feel as welcome as I did at Blue Collar Tattoo. I've had two sessions here and I look forward to my third! My artist Siena did an amazing job sketching out my tattoo idea and had the design ready shortly after I contacted her. When I actually walked in for the first time, I was greeted by most of the artists present and even the owner Jason introduced himself. They were very kind and professional. Throughout the session, Siena regularly asked if I wanted to take a break or needed to stretch. She even offered a small space heater when it started getting cold. As for the ink itself, I couldn't be happier. Siena did a fantastic job with the initial line work and shading, and it just came to life with the color. It was my first tattoo and she clearly explained the aftercare and healing process, making me feel confident I wouldn't accidentally mess up the piece as it healed. With great music in the air and dope art on the walls, this place really makes you feel at home while getting worked on by some seriously talented artists. This was my second time getting tatted and my first time in California. I got the Gemini symbol done on my left pec and the word "strength" written in script on my right thigh. Overall I couldn't have had a better experience from the moment I walked into the shop to when I was actually getting my tattoo done the artists were friendly, welcoming, and really cared for what you thought or had to say, which I really liked. Siena is the artist who applied my two tattoos and was hands down one of the nicest people I have ever met and always had the best conversation. The whole experience was such...well that, an experience, because with every tattoo I like it to have meaning and these two that I had done are very meaningful to me, so the fact that Siena being the artist to give me these two tattoos and being the way she is made it so much more of an experience than just another random tattoo. I will be going back for more artwork in the future as well as getting my ears pierced. My friend got her belly button pierced the same day and she had Siena do that as well. Let me just tell you that Blue Collar Tattoo is the place to get a tattoo at. I came here for my first tattoo after being denied at other tattoo parlors because my tattoo was "small and would come out bloated". Jason took up the challenge and made a beautiful tattoo on my pinky and arm. I remember calling in and the person I spoke to was Will and he made a connection with me even though all I did was ask if it was busy to do a walk-in. After coming in I was greeted kindly and waited for Jason Lewis to arrive. My first tattoo and I was being tatted by the owner himself, I truly was blessed that day. Not only did he comfort me in my first tattoo, it came out more beautiful than I could imagine. The last place I went to wanted to charge me $200 for my small arm tattoo and could not guarantee a straight line. Coming to Jason really made my day and I would recommend this place to all my friends who are looking to get a tattoo in socal. I've been waiting a long time to get a Paramore tattoo, and have been very weary about which tattoo artist I wanted to do it. I sent Siena a design I had seen online, and she turned it into something unique and perfect for me. Siena is one of the greatest tattoo artists I have ever met. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she has the lightest hand out of any of the artists that have tattooed me before. She has such an eye for detail, and she is so incredibly sweet. The shop itself is wonderful- it's got a great vibe and everyone seems to really love it there. It's a very well maintained and organized shop. While I was there, they had a few walk-ins; they treat their walk-ins just like their appointment clients- they're very welcoming and accommodating. I can write an entire book on how amazing these artists and people are. I have been tattooed by Siena, John, Jason M, and Dakota. The best quality work I have ever seen at a tattoo shop. Not only that but these people are some of the most genuine, nicest humans I have ever met and really make you feel like your apart of their family when your getting work done there. Always available for me to chop it up about ideas when I pop in randomly to say hello. Jason M is a master at his craft and has hands steadier than a surgeon. Dakota gave me my first California tattoo and gave drew up one of the coolest designs I have ever seen. The vibe of the parlor is so welcoming and chill. Everybody is so incredibly friendly. And the artists are amazing and top-notch. I am working with Siena . She took the reference piece and made a unique piece of art that exactly fits my body. She freehanded these amazing incredibly beautiful flowers on my arm that came out so fantastic. She is friendly and fun and we have the best time while she is inking. You can absolutely feel her focus and passion for what she does by how she goes about her business . She tailors each piece to the needs of the customer in the most aesthetically pleasing way. I've already gotten so many compliments on my ink, even though the project is still only halfway complete. I moved out here from NJ in 2012 and searched for a new artist but kept coming across weird vibes and high prices. I met Jason Lewis in 2013 and he has been my artist ever since. He was able to fix and cover the not so great work I've had done in the past. He's done my right sleeve, my chest, and currently starting my left sleeve. He turns my ideas into masterpieces and I will never go anywhere else. The other employees are amazing and talented: Dakota, Brenna, Julio, etc. I've always felt welcomed and comfortable and everyone is super respectful and friendly. Their pricing is legit and reasonable and I've never felt overcharged like at other shops. This is the most down to earth shop I've been to and it feels like home when I'm there. I have an overall awesome experience each and every time. I'd recommend anyone. read more

First off, the shop is extremely clean. Second the staff and artist that work here are absolutely incredible and friendly. I started coming to Dakota about 1 1/2 years ago and I've been more than stoked every time. Recently I had him put his own take on a piece I wanted on the back of my leg. He did the most beautiful piece of work! I still continue to come here for the way I am treated not only by Dakota, but the other artist. If you want a tattoo done right, come here. They are good with working on price, but remember you're paying for something that goes on your body for the rest of your life. They make sure it's up to standards I am more than pleased with! Daniel Alvarez is your guy if you want a piercing. He's thorough, careful, and makes cleanliness a priority. They don't mess around with sanitation standards at Blue Collar, which is what you want from any tattoo parlor but especially during this time with covid spreading like wildfire. I was so sad when I thought my tragus piercing closed so I went in to get it re-pierced. Daniel took a look at it and suggested to first try to reopen it instead of re-piercing it. Which - if he was successful - would save me $80! I appreciated that he was looking out for his client first before his profits. In the end he was successful in reopening my piercing and I left beyond happy. Happy about the quality of his work & integrity, and confident that the whole process was clean and safe. I have been coming to this shop since I moved to Orange County which was in September of 2017. John is my artist and he never disappoints me with his work. John also checks up with me during the week to see how my healing process is or just to see how life is treating me. People who genuinely care , are awesome people.The whole shop is friendly, fun, good music , even a pool table for family or friends to play while the artist are at work. I have over 8 different pieces that John has done and there's a reason why I keep going back ! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with smiles. While I was waiting for my artist to finish up with a client several other artist came and talked to me, and offered me water. Willie did an amazing job on my tattoo and I couldn't be happier with it. He was professional yet I felt like we were best friends. I will be coming back to him for every tattoo in the future. By far the Best Tattoo Shop in Costa Mesa! The artists are super friendly and care about making your tattoo idea come to life! Willie did an amazing job on my piece! I'm so happy with and can't wait until it's fully healed to show off this show piece! Normally a 2 session piece Willie knocked it out of the park in just one! In sprue of the moment my friend and I decided to get piercings done. This place was closest to our work so we chose it with out looking at reviews. Well let me tell you how AMAZING our experience was. Siena was our piercer and she was so friendly, funny, and new exactly what she was doing. I've gotten my nose pierce before and it hurt like no other, but with Siena very minimal pain. We learned that the owner tattoos for a good cause and loved the story behind it. I'd highly recommend this tattoo shop. The vibe in this shop is so welcoming. All the artist wanna check out the work your getting and everyone converses while you're getting tatted. They take walk ins frequently. The shop is very clean and accommodating. Taylor added my grandmas handwriting to my previous tattoo (not done here). I gave her the second photo as a stencil, which is just letters that I combined together and then she drew into lettering. I've definitely found my new artist. Taylor you are super good at what you do and are so comforting. I recommend anyone to this shop, and to Taylor specifically. I'll be back for at least 2-3 in the next week. read more

Had my first legit tattoo shop experience (non-piercing) and it was so amazing. The tattoo artists here are so friendly, professional, and funny. The vibe is chill and relaxing. I have a very low tolerance for pain, but Willie made it tolerable and kept checking on me. The whole experience was so much fun, beginning to end. I loved that the other artists (Jason and Dakota) shared my excitement and just made my time here that much more enjoyable. I honestly can't wait to come back and get another tattoo. Blue Collar is the type of place that makes you feel at home, and sad when you have to leave. I'll be back ASAP the next time I'm in Cali. read more

I wanted a cute snake with a cowboy hat on, and Dannon nailed it. It was exactly the vibe I was going for and turned out great! The shop is in downtown Santa Ana, it's woman owned, and has some great artists that have space there. Great vibe, very friendly. Today, Joe made it permanent for me and he nailed it. Perfectly The pictures tell the story. Joe is one of the owners of Bemidji's newest tattoo shop, Cryptid Tattoos. The shop is fantastic. Spacious, clean, comfortable, and welcoming. And at a convenient, quiet spot on the edge of downtown B-town. Tony fits every categories!! I had to wait 2 months to get an appt with him because he was all booked up, that tells me he is good!!!! The outside of the shop looks pretty small, but when you walk inside, it looks like a paradise!! It's nice and clean and very modern. There are 2 small seats and a bench on the right side when you walked in. They have 6 tattoo stations, 3 on each side, and one eyebrow station at the back. This place is NICE!! I was at the shop for 6hrs from 11am-5pm. Tony greeted me when I walked in, then we went over all the details for my tattoo, he never rush his work, he is very patience and make sure everything is perfect before he starts the inking. We were suppose to do my tattoo in 2 sessions but we actually did it in one!! I m very satisfied with his work and I would DEFINITELY get another tattoo with him in the future!!!
