I have had so many various great experiences with different artists as ive grown over the last 15 years, each one fitting to where I am in my life. I had arrived to Charlot at the exactly perfect time. I've been dreaming of the perfect chest piece and I waited until I found the perfect artist. Im so happy I waited! Where should I begin.. PRE Planning - everything was done remotely, so convenient! Super smooth communication, started off with my very vaguely described vision. She asked for inspiration photos, description, and photos of the area I wanted done, i sent her a few different angles so she had a good foundation to lay a design out. she later returned with a few mock ups that was in alignment with what I wanted, the amount of sessions it would take, her price range. All checked out well so we set a date to meet in her studio. DAY 1- THE SETUP looked over initial mockup together and we played around with all the options to really make it come to life on screen. I put my trust fully in her hands! Super fun process, she gave me a verbal play by play with each step of the process in real time so I never had to guess what was coming next or what she was doing. She laid the stencil on me and when we felt confident it was perfect, it was time for her to get to work! During our session we chatted, she made sure i wasnt in any discomfort at any moment. I was relaxed the entire time. I almost fell asleep. Her amazing apprentice was present to view and learn and it was so nice to witness Charlot teach as she was working on me. She put great energy into the fine details for our first session, so we ended the day to rest for day 2! DAY 2 - TRANSFORMATION I came in and Charlot had mapped out our finale, stencil on, breakfast eaten and back to work! she laid the rest of the design on me efficiently and meticulously until everything was perfect. Again, she made sure I had zero discomfort even though she had worked on me the day before. We shared laughs, she let me vent, cry, and even shared peacefully silent moments. She added the final touches at the end, some of which was challenging but she made it look SO easy and made sure I was comfortable all the way to the end. we were both so worked by the end of the day but you couldnt tell cause the excitement for the outcome was so real. We took pics, and marveled at the final outcome together. Then I went home to sleep so good! My session with Charlot wasnt just a tattoo appointment. It was seriously INK THERAPY. I feel so brand new, I rediscovered a love for myself I had almost forgotten and sprouted so much more love for Charlot. Tattoos hurt its normal! But through the process, She had poured love back into me as I released inner pain I held deep down. I learned to love myself even deeper now! Her passion, compassion and soul manifests through her art and im so excited to wear on me forever as a daily reminder that life is so beautiful knowing there are people still taking care of each other this way. She helped me choose a font, size, and the perfect placement. The details in the writing is identical to the font example.
