The owner then I guess recognized me or my review and asked me if I had left a three star review and I told her I did and then she said that I could have the jewelry I was trying to buy, for free. She said that because of my review, it was free. I insisted that I paid, but she wouldn't take any form of payment. I gave it two stars because that interaction in itself was very yucky and condescending. Highly uncomfortable. I never went back. The owner is definitely sensitive of her business, which I understand but you can't be condescending towards your customers and expect them to retain them. I now go to the piercing shop in Orange. Great service, super helpful. & good prices. If you're looking for spending $250-$1200+ on extremely high-end yet minimal (?) body jewelry then this is the place to go. If you're not, I recommend the piercing shop in orange that will still give you good quality jewelry at a normal price, including the piercings at a normal price and they are just as knowledgeable as the piercers at C&M if not more. I walked in and picked a set of earrings and off to see Eric, who literally made it painless. He gave me post-care instructions, and asked that I come back in 8 weeks for a follow-up visit and to shorten the posts. We just shortened the posts and it's been great. I've followed their care instructions and have been very happy. If you need a place where they keep standards high to protect you as a client and make things easy, this is your place. Instead of helping a nervous first-time customer he made us feel like our questions were an inconvenience. His behavior alone was enough to lose a customer. You can say what you want, but based on how we were treated, I believe we experienced racial bias. Whether you agree or not, that's how the interaction made us feel, and it was unacceptable.

Vibes were chill and tattooer was professional and quick :) Gave us an aftercare sheet on how to protect the piercing, gave professional opinions on existing piercings/questions we had, and we were in and out within the hour. We called the same day and Rachel was able to schedule us for the date and time we wanted! When we got to the shop, everyone including the tattoo artists greeted us and were extremely nice. The shop was super clean and well decorated, which we loved. Rachel helped us the whole time and she is such a gem (pun intended ). She walked us through the whole process for the teeth whitening as well as the tooth gems and she told us exactly what she was going to do before she did it so there were no surprises. We had such an AMAZING experience with Rachel and the whole staff over at illusions. Everyone was super professional and so sweet to us! We're definitely going to be back for more teeth whitening and maybe some piercings in the future
