I been a client of Bowser since a few years back when I moved to Anahiem. Being in a new area, I didn't know who to trust and went to many different shops until I met Bowser. Get quality work done by someone who knows what he is doing than someone who saves you an extra buck. He tattooed my leg sleeve and my entire back. ThIS review is long overdue and if i can give more stars, i would. My artist as everyone calls him BOWSER, was very professional from setting up the appointment to my last session. I have an existing tattoo from another artist on my right forearm and i politely asked if he work the pieces of details around that - and he did! He would ask what you want tattood, and would make suggestions. YOU HAVE TO TRUST THE PROCESS! He makes the stencil and lays it on the skin and would ask if placement is okay before he even starts. His line work and his control with his lines are just out of this world! His attention to details and shading and how he doesn't over crowd his art is on a different level as well. He is very light-handed. To a point where i was falling asleep Overall, im one big happy customer and it was fun! For the shop : It's very clean, you get that comfortable feeling that the artists are like brothers/family. I instantly felt safe. Oh and complements to the restroom! For a shop with all male artists - it's very CLEAN! Tip: if you are planning to get art done, you need to communicate with the artist and you need to trust the process. Your skin is their canvas, they know what they are doing. Photos posted are after 2 days of my last session with Bowser. I'm still healing and would post updated photos when everything is set.

Don't recommends they do not anything about pircings, they need to training more. IT is not possible

Thank you Chris Nguyen! Chris created this koi fish design to cover-up my tattoo. Much appreciated, love it! Chris specializes in realism; however, has had years of experience with Asian art. Upon going to the shop and telling them I wanted either a samurai mask or koi fish, they immediately told me to hit up Chris. I sent Chris a text and he responded right away. The cover-up ended up being done in 3 sessions. First, just look at the before and after pictures. I will let the work speak for itself. Second, Chris was very flexible with accommodating to my schedule. Very happy patron. Thank you again!

Literally a clean and comfortable environment for first timers. I was bit nervous at first but my artist Lino was professional & cool as hell! Ceaser did amazing work, he's easy going & works quickly, I barely felt any pain & he goes above & beyond to make his work look great. I like the fact that I told him what I wanted and he didn't try to change my mind however when I asked for his opinion he gave it to me and had asked me if he could do some shading before he started doing it. I think it's important to be on the same page & I'll definitely be having him do the rest of my work. I'm pretty damn impressed!

Grind Time is the best place to get tatted especially from Chris Ngyun! He has been inking me since 2015 and his art always comes out amazing especially the fact he is really cool on being flexible on scheduling for a tat. Great location with some parking available. Had the privilege of getting artwork done by Brian the owner of the Grind time studio. Greeted upon arrival and the whole studio screams professionalism. Very clean and fancy. Got a portrait done of my wife and I to add to my "family tree" leg. Highly recommend this tattoo studio. read more

I was looking for a new artist to work on my hand ( alot of tattoo artists I've had work done with don't do hands) I found an artist at this location who does great work. However. It is Sept in California and we are in 100 degree weather. Sweating during a tattoo is not comfortable for anyone. Your body is already going through pain, then to add major heat and sweat. Its just not okay. Im not sure how sanitary that is either. I already placed a 200$ deposit and made an appt. I messaged the artist to verify that his shop had a comfortable room temp ( as client safety and comfortablity should ALWAYS come first) When I asked if he had ac available this is the response I got. (See pics) I highly suggest you ask questions before sending a deposit. I've had the opportunity to be tattooed by some amazing professional artists who genuinely care about the client, this was NOT that experience. So I wasted 200$. I don't suggest going to anyone who doesn't value their client. Or calls them "high maintenance". read more

got tattooed by Brian for the 4th time today. He did 7 tattoos for me and he did me solid. I get so many compliments on them . He's so fast. What takes someone else 5-6 hours to do, he can do better work in 2 hours. He's done my torso and I'm super happy with it. Everything comes out so clean. read more

Long over due. Brian does amazing work was able to fit me in to his schedule. I'm very picky and ocd when it comes to my tattoos. Brian is very priced very well. I would not recommend Don Lino the artist SO unreliable and will charge you 100$ deposit and then no call no show you and not give you your deposit back even if HE was the one to not show up to the appointment that was confirmed the day before. read more

I had a wonderful experience at this shop. I came in as a walk in. The shop is clean. Steve worked on my tattoo. He drew out what I wanted, repeatedly and patiently, until I loved the design. I would give this shop zero stars if I could! So unprofessional and the shop manager is so rude. I had the worst tattoo experience and to make it worse it was my first tattoo! I went to the artist DON LINO to get a quote tattooed I ended up realizing that it was misspelled and contacted him, he tried saying it was my fault but he is the one who designed the tattoo and I'm looking at it backwards so I couldn't tell. He ended up offering to cover it up for me and kept saying he could easily do a cover up and so I chose to let him fix his mistake. We set a day for the appointment and he constantly kept canceling and i would see him partying on his Instagram stories, and he showed up an hour later the day he finally came through. He asked me to send him flowers I wanted and never sent me what he created. He ended up doing the worst cover up ever ! How are you okay letting someone have that forever on their body. The stencil looked nothing like what I ended up with he changed so many things around. I'm 21 years old and this is my first tattoo, I'm literally dealing with depression thanks to this horrible artist and shop. I recommend going to a shop with extremely talented artist that care about your satisfaction and feelings. And most of all will make sure they're feeling amazing work on your body knowing it will be there forever. read more

Since the beginning we met Chris which was last year, he has been so nice and is very talented with tattoos, my first tattoo with Chris was my husband's and I wedding bands since we were getting married, we told him what we wanted and he design it perfectly, after that, since my father passed away so many years ago, I wanted to have his portrait on my inner arm with praying hands, which Chris did an amazing job and I thank him so much, because I was able to still have my father with me on my wedding day, since then, my husband and I have had other tattoos with him, he recently tattooed my husband's chest with our current wedding photo, it came out awesome. Chris's tattoo design's are so great, you tell him what you want and he is very creative, he makes sure that when he is tattooing that everything is perfect and pays attention to details, he also does body piercing, I had him do an industrial piercing for me one month ago and it's healing perfectly, we will definitely recommend him to others and will continue to go to him. Came here cuz I wanted my dogs paw print on my arm. Talked with Steve and he was really nice and friendly, he gave me the instructions on getting the print. So I followed his instructions and came back and we were able to get the print on my arm. He did a great job and it came out better than I thought it would. Was really happy with his work and would highly recommend him if your considering getting a tattoo. read more

What an amazing shop! The staff are top notch. Both professional and friendly. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and knew this was going to be a good experience. I had the pleasure of having my first color piece (definitely not my first tattoo though) by Nicholas and I showed him my idea, but told him I wanted him to feel free to take artistic liberties and wow! He did such an amazing job. I'm still in awe looking at the piece he did. He's got an amazing eye for the contours of the body and how a tattoo will fit that particular area in the best way possible and he's got a very light hand which makes what could easily be a painful experience almost unnoticeable. His knowledge and passion for traditional pieces too, for example, my tattoo had a strong Japanese influence infused with Brazilian aspects, he had a vision for it that was just mind blowing! Weird shop. They appear to want actual business, the advertising out screams "come in". Yet when you arrive they are just unprepared for any real clients! We stopped in for a nose ring and was denied! They had more than 5 people in the shop yet no one was able to help us?? If you are unable to preform the services you are advertising DONT ADVERTISE. This place must be a tattoo ONLY shop, or just a front for gang activity because they turn away paying customers when it comes to piercings! That's ok though because COOLSVILLE Is down the street! And they provide Quality piercings and doesn't turn away paying customers! read more

Worst tattoo shop around. Unprofessional took $100 deposit for next day tattoo, called me next day to cancel because he was going out of town. Then refused to return deposit or do tattoo. Never again will I return to this place again. read more

Awesome shop! Jared does amazing work as does everyone in the shop.. He made a very special piece I got look amazing!!! I couldn't be happier with my new tattoo.. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help and answer any questions or concerns. Saw two girls get their first tattoos while I was there and the artist couldn't have been more helpful. He immediately sat me down we went over some ideas, and he immediately begin to work. He's expertise, and finesse with his work definitely re-assured me that I had made the right decision to allow him to tattoo me. The friendliness of the staff, and the ability to make you feel comfortable was superb. I also must point out that the shop is one of the cleanest shops I have walked into, the professionalism that Brian held definitely didn't go un-noticed. This is the shop you have been looking for! They are beyond professional and make the process so easy as well as personal. The vibe they create even for a walk in as myself is bar none. The artist Tommy Touché is a magician with a tattoo gun in his hand. For someone like myself the entire process of getting a tattoo is something that I hold close to my chest. At Grind time they really do it right, and are more than willing to LISTEN to you and your ideas as well as give you feedback until you end up leaving with a piece of art that you will love until your old and grey. You also never have to worry about an unkept shop, or an ugly personality meeting you at the door as well as being in the chair. All in all I will never get anything else done somewhere other than GrindTime....nor will it be anyone but Tommy. I decided the other night that I wanted to get a tattoo as just an impulse decision lol. After searching and seeing very few shops were open past 9, I stumbled upon grindtime tattoo. I decided to give it a shot and gave them a call. Tommy was very patient with my friend and I (I was literally looking up tattoos as I was on the phone because again it was an impulse decision and unplanned). I asked multiple questions about pricing because I like to be sure first how much it's going to cost and wether or not the artist can actually fulfill what I want done. I had an amazing time at this shop. First of all the atmosphere is awesome! Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to and very understanding. They answered any questions I had. Their flash sales are the best flash sales I've seen yet! Second of all! The quality work is literally to die for! I know it's cringe saying that but it's the honest to god truth. The tattoo I had received was so great it stands out from my other tattoos! And it's just shading for Christ's sake!! I personally love that they use a film on the tattoo that keeps it covered for a few days! Definitely shows they care about quality work in my opinion! Drove from San Francisco to get tatted by the homeboy Spanky loco,I got some freehand work done on my right leg that had a couple of unfinished tattoos which he said he'd take care of them & All I gotta say is DAMN! Homeboy went all out with his freehand which I wanted. The homies out here in The Bay Went crazy when they saw the ink. Would I recommend getting tatted here? I HELLA recommend it!
