Got my 6th tat on 11/17/21. My last 3 have been by Stan Corona, and I couldn't be happier with his work. I went in with an idea I had seen on Social media, and he completely blew my mind with the changes he made to make it my own. Shop is clean, all the artist are friendly, and there is also a piercing area. They have tons of art work you can look at and choose from, or bring in your own. Stan goes over all the details about how he is going to do the art, any changes that might be made and the process of doing the actual tat. I am definitely going to keep going to Stan to get all my tats. I walked in here yesterday around 2pm. There was a sign that said "We're Open", their Yelp page said they were open and so did Google; as soon as I walked in some guy comes out and rudely asks "What do you want?" I tell him I was looking into talking to someone about getting some work done. He then abruptly basically yells at me that he's on his way out and that the shop is closed. He tells me I can wait for the next person who is coming in to show up. And claims that the neon open sign isn't on, therefor they are closed. I told him that I would go somewhere else since it seems like he's having a bad day and he ends up telling me yeah ok have fun with that. read more

I've had terrible luck with tattoo artists, they always end up moving out of state. So I was hesitant on finding someone new since it's always scary letting someone put something permanent on your skin. I've had an idea for a while for something small and simple and decided as I was driving by to at least get a quote. The place was empty which didn't concern me, I've gotten a few piercings next door and it was always packed while I was there. The artist, Drew, gave me a decent quote and had time to take me in right then and there. He took my idea and made it better as well as took the time to make sure the placement and style was fitting to the tattoo. The end result was awesome. I'm extremely happy with it. What made my experience better was the service. Drew was extremely nice and everyone in the shop made a point to say "hi" and was super welcoming. One gentleman even asked what music I'd want to hear which was also cool. Most tattoo shops scare me because people tend to be on a high horse and act pretty stuck up/annoyed when you have an idea or questions. Everyone that was here when I came was nice enough so that's why I'm giving the 2 stars and I didn't want to write anything at all but tattoos are too permanent for something like this to happen. The tattoo itself is nice I suppose but it is NOT what I asked for and NOT my style at all. I wish he would have stopped and asked what I wanted if he suddenly wasn't sure and not take the liberty to do what he wanted. I was so shocked when I saw the picture I started weeping in the car because I didn't like it so much. Again, the tattoo itself is fine in a different scenario but what I wanted had little to no color and it was more detailed. He could have stopped before he put all the blue in it and I would have been stoked! But because it's on my back I can't see what's going on so I had no clue until it was too late. What I saw as the stencil before he started was great and I was excited. I feel like he was trying to do a rush job anyway because it only took barely 30 minutes. I'm hoping I can find someone who can somehow take out all the blue or even it out or something. I did not have a good time at Charlie's so just make sure you over explain what you want and keep watch what they're doing because the more I think about this the more upset I get :( read more

It's fair to say that I have some experience when it comes down to tattoo shops. I've been to 6 tattoo shop for about 15 sessions in about 3 + years. I decided to stop by Tattooland because I was in the O.C. and had one of my compulsive urges to get a another tattoo.(I'm trying to finish my off sleeve). When I walked in I was immediately greeted by a friendly young gentleman who was able to squeeze me in for a tattoo by a fine young lady by the name of Brandy. Brandy was sweet, sincere, artistic, honest, vibrant, very talented & skilled, But most importantly she is one of the best tattoo artist I've ever dealt with, if not the best. The shop minimum is 100, which is what I was charged for my small nautical tattoo on each heel. While I think the price is fair and it was great that I was able to just walk in, I think it was weird that they didn't take my ID or do a release like every other tattoo place I've been to. Also, the guy who helped me seemed really annoyed through my entire experience, which really took away from it. 2 stars for convenience and 1 star because my tattoos don't look awful, however I wish that more care had gone into the stencils and making sure they were equal width. -2 stars because I felt like a burden the whole time I was there. I talked to him at least a dozen times over the course of a couple months, just so I could get my idea out of my head and into my skin. My sister and I got similar skeleton keys tattooed on us by Stan. I sent him a couple of sample keys a week before and when we came in he had a variety of novel sketches that he drew up himself. He was also able to manipulate the key design so fluidly with our on the spot suggestions. He's truly talented and knows what he's doing when you request full color or black and grey. These tattoos had very sentimental value for my sister and I and Stan did them beautifully.
