Seriously the best tanning salon(s) I've ever been to in my life!! From the amazingly informative & knowledgeable employees, to the exquisite customer service, I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else now... (except maybe one of their other locations!! Lmao) Not only do they have an incredible selection of products & beds (stand ups, laydowns, infrared sauna, body wraps, spray tans,/custom airbrushing.... Etc) but they also have the new freakin #K-11 (aka the first ever LED Red light tanning hybrid bed!!!!!!!) What's that you ask!? Let's just say that it was love at first sight.... I mean tan... I moved to Kool Rays sun spa from The Body Lounge in Montrose. At first I was bummed because they took the tanning beds out of The Body Lounge and I wasn't going to be able to go there anymore. I found Kool Rays Glendale and now I am sorry I didn't come sooner. Their beds are so much better and I have an amazing tan. I didn't look this good at the Body Lounge! I last went to this tanning salon just before the pandemic, when all the tanning salons closed down in 2020. When things started up again , I was working convenient to another tanning salon on Ventura Blvd (which I found out, was coincidentally also owned by the same people). Due to another change in schedule, I stopped tanning probably more than a year ago. So earlier this week, I decided I want to start tanning again. So I walk into Kool Rays this past Wednesday I believe, and there was an Eleanor at the desk. I like to know exactly what I am buying. Eleanor knew exactly the answers to ALL my questions except one and she was going to have to call the owner on that one. She got that answer for me by the next day. So, when I came back to pay for the whole thing, everything was exactly as she had initially described it. While tanning isn't cheap... at least you can do it at a nice location. I used to come here back in 2018 and recently wanted to do some red-light therapy. Came back in and bought a 30-day unlimited package. Got the run down on the machines and the lotions by an esthetician who was not only knowledgeable but so kind. I recently came across this salon on yelp. It is a big and clean place. The prices are reasonable. The reason for deducting two stars is that they have a promotion of receiving one free tan on yelp. I was surprised the second day I came in to redeem the free tan it was not honored. It does not state that it must be the first visit. It's actually strange that the salon would deny a free tan to a returning customer. I may just drive the extra five minutes to the tanning salon where after years of being a client they honored a free tan on yelp. It should be stated clearly on the yelp offer that it is for first time visits , it is not so it is deceiving. It just asks to check in and write a review. read more
