When I came back for my second visit, I showed another stylist how the previous lady had shaped them, and she got them spot on too! Like I said, my eyebrows are thick and stubborn, so I know they can be a pain to shape and match, but these ladies have already mastered them! I've loved everything about the salon and the service so far. As soon as you walk in, they're super welcoming and quick to attend to you. Both times I've gone, I haven't waited more than 10 minutes! And the ladies give such girl's girl vibes, which I absolutely LOVE Great service, wonderful stylists, and such great prices! The gurney is against the wall so the person doing my facial can't walk around me, but it was okay. She searched for every black head she could find on my nose and face. Very thorough. Also very painful having those pushed out, but I felt like I definitely got my moneys worth. The second time I went, I had a different person doing my facial, and she wasn't as through as the first person, but it was ok. Getting your underarm waxed here isn't painful. It was okay, but I feel like the European Wax Center does a better job. Still gonna come back here though for facials and underarm waxing due to the cost and convenience of free parking.

Yikes... it wasn't that I didn't have the money it's the fact that she "added on extra services and masks" without my knowledge and totally disregarded what was discussed before and in my booking notes. Lights throughout the establishment were flickering, and even the bathroom lights were not functioning properly. For a med spa offering medical-grade treatments, the environment did not feel professional or reassuring. I came in for PRP microneedling and was informed that the provider performing my treatment had only been working in a med spa setting for about four months. During my appointment, my blood could not be successfully drawn and I was poked three separate times. Afterwards, the provider forgot to even give me a Band-Aid and stated it was because she was nervous. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this did not leave me feeling confident or comfortable continuing treatment here. They did offer to substitute the PRP portion of my treatment with hyaluronic acid instead, but considering PRP microneedling is a significantly more expensive and specialized treatment, I did not feel that would have been fair for the amount of money I paid for the service. I purchased my session through Groupon because I had seen mixed reviews and wanted to cautiously try the service first before committing to additional visits. After today's experience, I asked about the refund process since the Groupon had not yet been redeemed. The receptionist with red hair initially stated they could not refund it because it wasn't redeemed, but when I asked if it could be redeemed so I could request my refund, she contradicted herself and said there are no refunds through third-party groups. I would have completely understood policy limitations if the conversation had been handled professionally and respectfully. What stood out most was the attitude of the front desk staff from the moment I walked in particularly the red head receptionist. As someone who works in customer service and as a receptionist myself, I understand how important first impressions are. I did not feel welcomed, acknowledged, or treated with kindness during my visit. I drove all the way from Long Beach to Glendale for this appointment hoping I would be in good hands, and sadly that was not the case. I strongly encourage Skin Agency to provide additional training for both their front desk staff and employees performing medical-grade facial treatments to ensure future clients have a safer and more professional experience.
