coco pan

Top-notch seafood paella and coco pan! I came here for solo dining and they were nice enough to let me order the paella for one (menu said 2). Get the coco pan to make it yourself.

Mussels in sauce (starter)

The fact that this is a paella place motivated me to write this review. I couldn't sit idly by and watch others make the same mistake. They need to 1/100th of the amount of salt they put in paella. It was difficult to eat because it was so salty. Despite still being hungry, I couldn't bear to eat anymore lest I develop high cholesterol on the spot. The mussels were subpar, they did not taste good, also salty, and I would not recommend either dish. The staff are friendly and amicable and the ambience is nice. However, the fact that this is a paella place and they fail to deliver on the main concept of the entire restaurant is reprehensible. The one thing I will compliment them on, is the crawfish tasted good. That is the single concession I'm willing to make. I do not recommend eating here unless you like extremely salty food and poor tasting mussels, clams, and prawns. I would not return.

Late night joint with a huge outside terrace located right on passeig san joan and Valencia. This is a really cool area to enjoy a nice warm night with some cervesa and just hanging out. They serve TAPAS. surprise! Nothing really off the chart good, but almost all the food was decent. The marinated artichokes were good quality and the perfect combination to the squid andulucia. These are the small fried baby squid that you eat like potato chips. Yummo! Oh, and don't forget the cana! Cana is a glass of draft beer. It's all over Spain and seriously cheaper than H2O =) Nice servers. Gets really full and crowded at night - just like the rest of BCN!

Followed our noses, saw a crowd outside enjoying entrees, have it a try - lucky accident as the paella is delicious, the salmon tartar melts in the mouth, the wine exceptionally tasty. The service was attentive, prices pretty reasonable, all to ay a good value for food. Only negative was seafood was overly salty, but offset by the delicious dry Tempranillo wine.

Outside dining

Great food, the tomato bread is authentic and the Rafi White Sangria is the best there is and our Seafood Fiduea was amazing. We just happened to be walking by and stumbled on to this amazing place. The staff we encountered speak almost perfect English. Highly recommend.

Very happy we found this place. The food is excellent, well priced, and the portions are big. The first time I went with 3 others. We got a carafe of sangria, candied artichokes, a salmon salad, risotto, pasta Bolognese and tuna tartare. Everything was very tasty, with fresh ingredients and full flavor. I highly recommend any of these things. The second day my husband and I got a pre-fix lunch menu which consisted of 2 courses, a dessert and a drink, all for €12.90. I imagine it rotates, as no English version was available. No biggie, since they have free WiFi you can look up words on Google translate. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried, which was a salad and risotto as first course, fish and beef as second, and tiramisu and merengue for dessert. I was not a big fan of the merengue, but tiramisu was excellent. The staff speaks just enough English for a basic exchange, but don't always know all translations. The first time they tried giving me a plate of anchovies instead of artichokes, but corrected the error once I pointed it out in the menu. The full menu comes in English and French as well as Spanish. I highly recommend this place for a quick delicious bite or a long lunch.

Chicken tacos very great too.

Excellent lunch after walking all morning. The cod was delicious. The beef tagliata was hot, medium, and bursting with flavor. Loved it!

My wife and I were by the Sagrada Familia and my wife knew I wanted to try some paella. I thought…read moreit might be a little too close to the Basilica, but I was wrong! We got there right when it was opening and our waitress spoke real good English and I ordered a beer and the black ink paella. There were a lot of good looking dishes available though! If we were here longer, I would have tried their regular paella as well, I liked it because you could order a single serving, which seemed a little rare in Barcelona. The dish came out about fifteen minutes later, which is good for paella, because you know they made it fresh. I heard some places just nuke it and bring it out. It comes out in the cool looking pan that looks like a gold mining pan. It is colored deep black and has a huge prawn in the middle and lots of clams and mussels and calamari. The rice was cooked perfectly and the black squid ink sauce was delectable. Great service and my second beer was a great pairing for a lunch that fills you up perfectly. Highly recommended place, that could have been touristy, by was a delightful surprise!

Quite pleased with my meal as a whole. Lot of positive a tad bit of negative during my dining…read moreexperience here. On the positive side, the food was very good and very fresh. My Greek salad was very authentic and was as good as any salad I had while I lived in Greece. Very fresh vegetables, great Feta and seasoned to perfection. The shrimp scampi under the Tapas menu with garlic was equally good and oh so tasty. The smallish inside restaurant is best described as rustic and a tad warm. Instead I opted for the outside dining area, which has just a few tables but offered a very pleasant ambiance in the small side street this business is located on with low foot traffic and a very nice breeze on the warm day I dined here. The relaxed dining on the outside is definitely the way to go here especially during the summer months. From a negative standpoint, certain aspects of the service were too slow. I was seated pretty quickly upon arrival but I waited a tad bit too long to get my order in. Once ordered though, the food came pretty quickly on a positive note. However, for all intents and purposes the service stopped at that point where I had no follow up and literally had to walk inside the business to get my bill. Overall, the dining experience was still great for me slow service aside as the quality of the food and outdoor ambiance far outweighed the negatives. I would say if you are in a bit of there rush you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a relaxing dining experience with great food than this business will be definitely fit the bill!
