    Norwegian lobster and scallops paella
    Richard H.

Located along the beach, across from the W Hotel, this is a hot spot for locals. We saw at least 4 Bridal Showers, and many special occasions for Happy couples. I was in search of authentic Catalonian food and found a gem of a restaurant. They say that really good paella takes time to cook, and the waiter will warn you that your paella is minimum 30 minute cook time. Trust me, this place is worth the wait! This was the most delicious Paella- Norwegian lobster and scallops, which was in a rich saffron rice sauce. The Steak Tatar was absolutely amazing and paired well with the Pa amb tomàquet (which literally translates to "bread with tomato" in Catalan). Instead of bread, they provided deep fried olives!

Nom Nom Nom Nom! What Lunch with a couple of co-workers (total 4). We had lots of tapas and then paella for 3 (shared with 4). The mussels were really good! The little fishes were also very good. The croquettes were okay to me. The paella was good - the seafood tasted good, the rice had different level of cooked depending on where it was. Overall I really enjoyed the mussels, the rice and fish. Environment Located right by the W hotel, this was a great spot, nicely decorated interiors. Very brunch like if you'd ask me, very fitting for a lunch paella with a sangria? Niceness of the staff Super nice staff to attend to 3 foreigners. Loved the hospitality - loved the dessert display instead of a menu. I was able to see what I want. Dollar It was decently prized I guess. Yes I would return here just for the fish and mussels!

Wanted to try some really good paella and came here for lunch just as it opened. We opened for the paella with the noodles and with the shells on the seafood. Presentation was great and it was a nice lunch special with a starter too. The staff was very nice and friendly and attentive. They also gave me a free dessert since we were celebrating my birthday. It all was a pretty good lunch deal. I definitely recommend!

The ambiance at this restaurant is beautiful with a stylish interior that initially made me feel hopeful about the meal to come. Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown and ultimately a health concern. Even our waitress was surprisingly rude and dismissive, which only made the overall experience more disappointing. I ordered the seafood paella, and while it was plated well, the flavor was far from authentic. The seafood did not taste fresh as it had an off-putting aftertaste. A few hours after the meal, my friend (who also had the paella) began experiencing severe stomach issues, which continued into the next day. It was clear he had come down with food poisoning. I called the restaurant the following day to inform them, not to demand anything, but simply let them know what had happened so they could investigate and take precautions. While the person I spoke to apologized and said the kitchen would follow up, I never heard back from the kitchen. What was supposed to be a nice night out ended up ruining the next couple of days for both of us. There are plenty of other local spots that serve fresher, more authentic food. I recommend dining at Can Solé for delicious mouthwatering paella.

Located near the Sea, this beautifully decorated restaurant with its mixture of textiles on the walls, ceilings, and seating invites you inside like a warm and lovely Mediterranean living room. The service was attentive and on-point. The menu, varied and showcasing their "must" order: paella. So that's what we ordered: chicken and shrimp paella with green asparagus. 30+ minutes later, paella cooked with seasoning and soul was delivered to our table, and it was absolutely delightful! Until then, the Spanish potatoes salad was a treat: potato salad, but add peas, tomatoes, and tuna?! I mean, come on: mind blown and yet, I'd order it again. And the patatas bravas, this is now one of my favorite authentic Spanish dishes! Top it off with a sangria that sneaks up on you, and you'll probably only want to order one, not two. Definitely worth the visit!

I was recommended by our Taxi driver about Mana 75. He said the paella was superb, I had to check it out before going to W Barcelona. It was 4 pm on a Sunday and this restaurant was completely packed. The hostess gave us a table immediately since a 3:30 pm reservation didn't show up. The server Jon K was efficient, recommended some entrees. Vegetable paella - good, not as savory as I would have liked. Impressive display of paella for the large orders. Ham croquettes and the Bomba de la Barceloneta was excellent. Ambience- there were so many large parties celebrating their birthdays- this appeared to be a special place for family gatherings.

Read the great reviews of this place! It lived up to it's billings. Atmosphere was very nice, service was excellent (Wilbur was off). Definitely must try if you're in Barcelona.

The service was fantastic, the seafood paella (peeled) was very tasty. An overall great experience here.

The paella here is fantastic, whether you're dining solo or with a group. They also offer a seafood paella where they'll peel everything for you, making it an even more enjoyable experience. Just be sure to book a reservation in advance if you can, as the waitlist fills up quickly. The service is also very good - and Claudi was a pleasure to have as my server.

I had an amazing time at Mana 75 for my best friends birthday. The food is truly outstanding and a great place to get some authentic food from Spain. The drinks were great, and the host staff was so accommodating with our transportation issues and reservations. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant for a lovely dinner. The place is very clean and they also provide English menus if your not a fluent Spanish speaker.

The waiter was absolutely so kind and very patient given language and fact we were going to order way too much food. What's cool about this restaurant is they cook the paella right where you can see it. The paella chicken and shrimp was shared between 3 people and was so filling. Only reason it wasn't a four was because when making the reservation we thought sitting outside would be better but in fact it was freezing, and we couldn't be moved in side, on the bright side there was heaters which was definitely a plus ! In all I recommend make sure to book a reservation

There is so much food and so many choices in Barcelona, we narrowed our Paella restaurant search to the three top recommended, ultimately we chose Mana 75 due to its proximity to the water & it's reviews. To sum it up, this was a humbling experience. If you're staying at the W, attending a conference, or want to feel like your in Miami w/ sub par food and service... this is your spot! We went for lunch & ordered tomatoes w/ tuna (this dish was nice, but too big for two people planning to have paella afterwards), potatoes brava (skip this & order the mussel lasagna), paella (will talk about this more in next paragraph), desserts were okay... more about this later. The paella. They have quite a few options. We ordered the "Caribanero" paella, which is basically the seafood paella w/ two big shrimp (almost like mini lobsters). The waiter explained that people prefer it because it's more flavorful. The paella wasn't that flavorful at all, and the small oysters & mussels (three of each) were as dry as you can imagine. The desserts were average at best. We ordered espressos to go with the dessert, but they never came. This was the overall theme of the meal. Food, but no drinks. Water was never brought to our table until the end of the meal, even after asking multiple times. The bottle of wine we ordered (before appetizers were brought out) wasn't delivered until we were halfway through our paella. Again, we had to ask multiple waiters where our drinks were. Eh... lessons learned, but at 160 euro, if this review can save you (whoever's reading this) time & money... then I guess it's worth it. Look at my other reviews from Barcelona to find some cool, worthwhile spots.

Spacious, open, and with a view of the kitchen.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

While all of the food was great, for me the codfish was hands-down the star of the show and probably one of the best dishes that I ate on the trip. The flavor of the sauce combined with the texture of the fish actually blew me away, and I can see why my server highly recommended this to me. Taverna El Glop wraps you up in its warm, lively atmosphere the second you walk in. We were a group of four, and from start to finish, we had an awesome time. The open kitchen is a great touch -- you can watch the chef in action, which adds to the energy and makes the whole experience feel more connected and authentic. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was on point. The paella was rich and delicious -- exactly what we came for. The patatas bravas were crispy, creamy, and gone in seconds, and the shishito peppers were the perfect salty, snacky starter. Of course, we had to get a pitcher of sangria (okay, maybe two), which was fruity, refreshing, and just strong enough to keep things festive. The space itself has this great, rustic charm -- complete with checkered tablecloths and even an old cigarette machine near the bar (haven't seen one of those since I was a kid -- aren't those banned in the U.S. now?). I don't smoke -- smoking sucks -- but it added a bit of unexpected nostalgia and character. Service was excellent. I always make a point to be friendly, ask people their names, and introduce myself -- and that's usually met with warmth. It definitely was here. The staff were quick, kind, and seemed to enjoy the place as much as we did. Personally, I loved it. It's the kind of place you remember -- not because it's fancy or trendy, but because it's fun, flavorful, and full of heart. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
