If I could leave this restaurant 0 stars, I would. After an exhausting hike, my boyfriend and I were drawn to Restaurant Kono because of its location, charm, and view. We saw several open tables and we were absolutely starving. We were told by the parking assistant that our table would be a ten minute wait. Fine. But after 20 minutes of being ignored and after several other parties who arrived after us were sat before us, we finally were escorted to a table. Our waiter carelessly threw down our menus and our silverware and walked away without an introduction. After several more minutes of waiting, the waiter took our drink orders, but seemed so shocked and dumbfounded when I ordered an Italian classic: aperol spritz...but eventually he nodded his head and we waited some more. My boyfriends drinks finally came, but no sign of my aperol spritz. Fine. We finally ordered our food, after being ignored by our waiter for quite some time. He was nice enough to recommended a tasty "off-menu" dish, however, which was exciting and nice. Unfortunately the pasta was cold, the mussels were frozen, and there was little to no flavor. I had to ask for some salt to make the dish edible. I then reminded the waiter of my aperol spritz that never came, and one more time after that, but in the end I never received a single drink. We were so aggravated at this point, we decided to pay and leave. We went to the pay counter and our waiter encouraged us to go back to our table to wait for the bill, so we did. After ANOTHER fifteen minutes of waiting, and witnessing 3 other tables near us complaining about similar things, we finally payed for our overpriced, cold pasta and lousy customer service. Don't waste your time here. read more
