Met these folks at Tucson Home Show. We liked the way their grills/outdoor kitchens looked so we paid a deposit and it took them several months and several phone calls to get them to come out and do the survey of our area. After they were there they showed us how it fit it. It is not custom made and we were not happy how they were going to install. Tried to call and get our $500 back but they gave me the run-around and said it was non-refundable! These company is AWFUL!!! read more

2 stars. The first star is for the initial conversation, where Ubaldo told us they would take care of us. The second star is for going to Kokomo and getting everything signed with down-payment (half of total) to proceed the project. At that point, I can easily start taking off stars, but left them, out of mercy. We were told our project would be finished in 2 months. That would be this week. We were told that they were not busy and that the 2 months was so that they could have extra time if needed. No problem, we can wait 2 months, perfectly in time for Easter weekend, family, friends, pool and our brand new bbq kitchen. Well that is not going to happen. We were told that it can still be another 2 weeks, and the only reason we know this is because we have calling them to try and get updates. We were told that we would get updates, pictures, but instead we got none of that. Actually, I am wrong. We did get a call 3 weeks before the project t was supposed to be completed, to tell us that the tile we picked and put a down payment for, was no longer available. Why they wouldn't have all this material set aside once the order is placed, is beyond me. No communication in 5 weeks, but than suddenly as I've been trying and trying to reach out to Ubaldo, or Jorge, i get a response from Jorge telling me he will look into an update for me. He returns my call and proceeds to tell me about the tile not being available. Already disappointed, we went ahead and picked out another tile, with the assumption that since he was calling about the tile, that they would be working on our kitchen, that had 3 weeks to be completed. I never got any pictures, reached out to Jorge again, who told me that the person he told to send them to me failed to do so. He said he would send me pictures and when he did, they had barely started working on it. At this point, I was already with the understanding that our kitchen was not being worked on in the time frame I were told it would take to complete in the time given. I reached out and have now spoken with Zach and David. Zach said that they are looking at another 10-15 days. That means our project won't be finished until May. I reached out to David yesterday, who now tells me that our project is currently on hold and he doesn't know why. This was yesterday, and apparently he still has no answer as to why our project is on hold. This is very disappointing. I initially told Ubaldo and Jorge (whom we met at the home and garden show) that my wife and I were very excited about having our kitchen made by Kokomo. Now when people ask me how are kitchen is, I tell them it isn't ready, and I have no idea when it will be ready. If we had to do over again, we would not have been utilizing Kokomo BBQ grill again. When you HIRE a company to do a service, and you have already paid half of it, the expectation is very simple. We expect our project to be finished in the time we were told it would be. We expect an exceptional job, because this is what we paid for. We expect good communication and transparency, since that is what we were told we would get. Saw Kokomo at the Home Show and went to their showroom when we were ready to move forward. Found the perfect kitchen/bar/grill for our backyard. Purchased the floor model (our sales guy was great) and it was delivered in August of last year (within a few weeks of purchase). Install was great - the crew was awesome. Loved this unit until the electric went out a week later. Since then it's been a frustrating experience of trying to get the electric fixed. Without electric we don't have a fan, lights, TV or fridge. We've had Kokomo come out several times to try and fix the issue. This included replacing the fridge. Nothing worked. Note that you can't talk to anyone to get service...you have to put a ticket in and wait to be contacted which can be weeks. Seriously...I put in a ticket on 3/1, didn't get notification until 3/29 of a service call for 4/8! That's over a month waiting to fix a defective product! We replaced the ceiling fan in Feb - we wanted something more tropical to go with our backyard. We continued to have electrical issues. Kokomo came out last week and now they are saying all the issues we've experienced are from the new fan install, not taking into account that we were having the same exact electrical issues from 9/4 when the unit was installed until 2/4 when the fan was installed. I got a text message from Kokomo today telling us to pay a $150 service fee and if I didn't pay it would void any future services or warranties. Service fee was not mentioned in the confirmation text I received nor did they mention it when they were at our house last week. I talked to the person who texted us for the $150 service payment. He does not believe me when I told him our electrician didn't touch anything before the fan install. I told him what I am telling him is the truth but he says he can't trust my word. I did pay the $150 because I didn't want that hanging over my head. But this company really lacks in service, communication, ethics, etc. We've paid a lot of money for a unit that has worked only part of the time. We paid to have someone install the fan and will have to pay to have it installed again because it was taken down at the last service call. I asked that they leave it down to ensure their fix is going to stick and they said they would come back and reinstall. But now that sounds like it's going to cost me $150 for them to do that. Do I love the unit we got? Yes...that's why I gave them 2 stars. But Kokomo Grill's business practices are really bad. They don't stand behind their product or the work they do. read more

Do NOT recommend this business. We purchased an Aspen Monarch spa from Kokomo at the home show in January 2023. We looked and looked for a spa we liked and this was the best we could find. Kokomo let us put half down and pay the rest in delivery. They told us at the home show that 1) delivery would include the initial fill and water adjustment and 2) if we didn't like the so we could exchange it for another. Both were false. We've had two repairs needed for the spa. The first, which was still under warranty, was handled by Drew and in a timely fashion. The second d just occurred where the ozone generator started leaking. At first Zach said it was all covered under warranty. After running them down for several weeks with still no repair, he told me that labor was not covered but they could ship me the part, which was still under warranty. That was on 12/23/24. I asked them for a tracking number and never got one. Nor did the part arrive. Eventually Zach quit answering my texts and my call. I called Kokomo on 1/6/25 and Brady told me that Aspen Spa was closed over the holidays and they had "just opened today." He said Zach had requested the part be shipped. I asked for a tracking number and Brady said he'd email that to me. Today (1/7) I called Brady to say I hadn't received a tracking number. Brady said it was just ordered today (1/7) and he would get me a tracking number. I highly suspect they just want me to go away. But rest assured I'll be calling every day until something happens. Zach down in the Mesa office was great. within 15 minutes he had a CAD drawing of what I had requested in terms of spacing and BBQ appliances. Over the course of the next week or so, he adjusted the drawing to include a few other storage cabinets etc. He was always very responsive and we were able to get the order in without difficulty. About 2 years ago, we found out about Kokomo grills at a home expo show here in Las Vegas. Saw the Aruba and fell in love. It was the last day of the expo and they had a big sale going on. We talked to the really great salespeople and ended up putting a deposit down on the outdoor kitchen after customizing to fit our needs and requirements. We knew we needed to get our back yard done before getting this built and installed. Fast forward to January of 2019 and I called them up ready to put it in production. They were happy to help me and told me 6-8 weeks, which was perfect. They put it production with 1/2 down and 1/2 when it was finished. They finished it on time got the other half of payment and scheduled delivery. The delivery was spot on time in March. The delivery guys were amazing. I spent $15,000 on an outdoor kitchen which I had seen at a show. My entire experience with them has been very frustrating. Over a 6 month time period I called at least 4 times and got routed to a different person each time. No one seemed to be able to give me an answer. I called on Tuesday Nov 9th and had my electrician speak with the installer to find out exactly what he needed to do. Now this is the same question I have asked at least 3 times! He was told to leave a "whip" which he did. Now the installers are finally here to install the kitchen (the 11th) they said they do no electrical! All they do is plug in. Now why was I not told that the 3 previous times I asked??!! It's a simple question and they should have clear and concise information they provide customers as to what they need for electrical. That's a very big part of this kitchen. Without electrical you just have a big erector set! I am pretty unhappy about this. Now I have to pay my electrician to come back and fix this. Kokomo should pay for this since it was their bad information. I was always told they would connect the electrical! Their communication is horrible. I would avoid this company! We found Kokomo Grills at the Home Show. They had a perfect product for our situation. We spent over $30,000 on what we thought was our dream back yard. It took over 7 months to receive our gazebo, but the wait was worth it....we thought. 5 months in, the whole thing came crashing down. They did not provide any drainage for the roof. No slant, no gutters, nothing. We mentioned this at delivery and they claimed it was fine, that's how they build them. Unfortunately we believed them. One heavy rain storm was all it took to take it down. All they had to do was put a support beam in the middle to say the least. When this happened all they could say was "go through your homeowners insurance". They did not offer to fix their faulty design. They are not licensed, bonded or insured. Save your money!! read more

Four hours later, we notified them, by text and voice mail, that there was no possibility to have the work done since we will be breaking the HOA rules. At 6 pm today (24 hours later) 2 teenagers show up to our residence trying to convince us to get a different unit, to place the unit in a different location, they were talking to us to the point we felt intimidated by them!!! Honestly they scare us one was Sach and the other was the owner's son. They don't want to honor our request to return the money if the unit was not suitable for our backyard. Do not buy from them. We ordered a bbq in January. We were scheduled for installation on 4/18/23. When they went to install it the measurements they did were wrong. We were promised we would be expedited and put at the top of the list because they had been paid in full. This company is a rip-off! We ordered our kitchen 2 years ago at the Sacramento home show. The unit was delivered late in the day so the install was finished in the dark (while using cellphones as flashlights)! There were broken switches that were promised to be replaced and never sent! The metal roof was installed wrong and caused it to raise up on windy days! We are now in the process of replacing the roof due to concerns it will fly off and do damage to our neighbors property! We also had a Kegerator installed with the kitchen that we have never been able to use. There is no access to mount the C02 tank! They just left it inside the kegerator with all the hoses and handles uninstalled! We have attempted many times to contact this company and when you finally get a response it "too bad, we are not going to correct your issues". This unit cost over $10,000! After putting down a deposit for an outdoor kitchen at the Maricopa Home Show, this company has literally been impossible to get ahold of. We put down our deposit to secure the pricing, but we did inform our sales associate that our actual purchase is dependent on the measurement of our patio and approval from the HOA. The outdoor kitchen has to fit of course. After coming home to measure, we learned that our patio is just a tad too small for the outdoor kitchen due to the location of steps and doors. There is no other spot to put this kitchen, and we are not interested in a much smaller version. The sales associate doesn't disclose that the deposit is non refundable. It's hidden in the fine print of the purchase order. This is even though they have not even started fabricating anything, ordered anything (we haven't picked out colors, tiles, etc), or done any other work other than take our money. Unfortunately, it's literally impossible to reach Kokomo. The phone number the sales associate provides in a business card goes to a switch board. You cannot reach your contact, nor can you reach an actual person. It takes you to a generic mailbox, and WEEKS later there hasn't been a single call back. Avoid. Thank goodness for federal government (FTC) 72 hour period of rescission. We have already canceled our purchase via fax and certified mail. Again, there hasn't been a single response. My wife and I purchased a backyard grill station from Kokomo Grils in Arizona it was delivered to our home and had damaged parts when it arrived. It took year to wait for them to repair/replace 3 damaged issues. It finally got done. Joe in customer service was very good. Thank goodness for him responding. If you live out of state Don't expect them to fix anything them selves. I had to do all the labor on a damaged power burner. Install a vent I paid for. Replace the refrigerator door that was incorrect and the access door that was scratched up. It's all because of COVID 19 bull SHIT. Their products are good but I'd never recommend them to anyone because of the poor service I got. I made a complaint to the BBB 6 months after the purchase. Then Kokomo responded. I got on their top of the list to get our outdoor kitchen repaired. It's been a few days after I got the new parts. So I cooled off so I could be fair on reviewing this company. If you live out of driving range of Arizona I bet they won't warranty the labor. Just say no to them buy local where they service what they sell. read more

Chairs with the grill are coming apart and they didn't put them together they dropped and ran. Customer service is the worst they never would get back to us. They still owe us a grill cover. For the cost of their islands I expect better customer service and more attention to details. Long post, but they screwed up A LOT and I think prospective customers need to know how little these people care about quality or their customers. First off the delivery was more than a month later than we were told when we purchased, but with covid and other factors we gave it a pass. We were told they would communicate during the process from work start to finish, but not the case. But that's just the annoying part... First, two weeks before delivery (part 1, but we'll get to that) they did send pictures of the island. Missing outlets we had paid extra goer which were clearly marked on our paperwork. I pointed it out and they played it off as if they were going to add them next even thought was already painted and one outlet was in place. Then they sent pictures of the newly added outlets on the day I was expecting delivery, I asked when they planned to deliver since there was no confirmation of delivery and the date had been set three months prior. I was told it was out for delivery (whoops, guess I'm working from home today) and the crew will call before they come to deliver. No call. They dropped the grill section in place quickly, but then no movement for 45 minutes. Went to check and the delivery crew was loading back in the truck with the bar section of my island on the truck. The lead guy then told me they had damaged the island trying to get it through my gate and it needed to go back to the shop for repairs. Did someone call and apologize and provide a new delivery schedule? Nope, I had to follow up. Next while getting a quote for gas to be connected the plumber pointed out that the grill was setup for propane. This is frustrating for me because we told the salesman we were going to use natural gas and I told the project manager multiple times we were running gas even though it's written on the paperwork. We even joked it was going to be delivered set up for propane. Whoopsie. So finally the rest gets delivered. They converted the grill to natural gas but not the side burners. They didn't bring the right size but driver and I didn't have the right size (yes they asked). I bought the right size nut driver and fixed it myself. Now we get to the big day. The plumber runs the gas line to the grill. Grill side works great, but he can't get the side burners to light. After some investigation we realized there was no gas flow, removed the cover and found the gas weldment was not connected to a gas supply line. The factory cover was still on the threaded end, obviously completely missed. Sent an email with pics , no response. Called, they put my on hold for half an hour. Called back and got voicemail. Finally got a response to my email saying that the grill works fine and what I was pointing out was the wire for the lights at the knob. Yes, I'm so stupid I don't know how to tell the difference between a 1/2" gas line and a wire. So I have a side burner that I paid a lot for that is unusable because it doesn't work on magic gas and Kokomo doesn't care about the quality of their products and they think their customers are complete morons. The island looks nice though. If only I bought it from someone who cares about their customers. read more

I have mixed feelings on the purchase and quality of the island. The sales process went well with good communication and quick turn around of drawings. It was a long wait time between order and delivery but that's to be expected with everyone spending their stimulus money on home improvement. The delivery dates got a bit mixed up but ultimately they accommodated me a few days later than originally planned. Delivery guys were great, however, upon testing the electrical there was a short on their end. The delivery guys worked on it for an hour before giving up and coming back the next day. Another hour of completely rewiring it, they got things working. No fault of the delivery guys and they did a great job with the exception that the didn't shim it perfectly level (Ill take a little blame that my concrete guy didnt get the pad perfectly level. Now why a 3 star review? Its primarily due to the quality of the bbq and build. They didnt use conduit for electrical, which worries me as it is outdoors. There is no "floor" on the inside. The propane tank simply sits inside on the concrete. The BBQ knobs get pretty hot when the bbq is heating up with the lid closed. This is just a design flaw. The tile option doesnt have a finished edge, so the edges are a different color than tile itself. Overall, would I buy it again? Maybe. But for the price, I would probably either have someone build one on site custom or at least buy one from a local company that I could see the build details before buying. read more

I am basing this review on a very poor customer service. We bought an outdoor kitchen that included also a stainless steel cooler. The outdoor kitchen unit is good, but we had problems with the cooler from the beginning (one week after delivery). When we used it the first time, we noticed that even with the plug inserted, it was leaking once the ice started to melt. We realized that it was missing the drain seal, so all the water leaked inside the unit, causing the insulation to retract a little. On top of that, the bottom part of the cooler (the corners inside, and the whole trim on the outside) was already rusted one week after delivery. We tried to contact somebody about it, and it took forever to get a call back. We were finally able to talk to somebody and send them pictures of the damage; after receipt of the pictures, they told us to bring the cooler back to them so they could swap it out with a different one. My husband had to drive 40 minutes to bring the damaged cooler to them, and when he arrived, he was told that they were not going to swap it, because it was only rust and it was not damaged. A $500 outdoor cooler should not be already rusted after only one week! So my husband had to do a one hour and a half round trip for nothing! After that, we tried to contact a manager and were not able to receive a call back yet, after days of waiting. We are really upset about it! read more

We ordered a rotisserie for our grill summer of 2019. Took a long time to get. Used once and it stopped working before the chicken was cooked. Made several attempts to reach them while still under warranty with no response. Finally got someone to answer the phone and now they say they won't honor the warranty. Have zero confidence they will honor the warranty on my grill if there is an issue. Customer service has been horrible from the beginning. Not trustworthy and would never recommend. read more

Stay away from this business. If you have any issues after purchasing, they will NOT call you back or try to help. We bought a grill and paid additional for installation. Like others have mentioned, they send some teenagers to do the install who don't talk or maybe are told to not tell the customer that they don't actually do the full install. The sales rep was fully aware of our setup, with natural gas and never said there would be any issues with install. Even though I was home, they did not say anything about not connecting the gas line and did not even leave the connection for us to hook it up. NO WARNING that they left the gas just open if we were to turn it on. When we tried to call and send messages, no-one responded or called us back. We had to pay extra and find a plumber to fix the gas connection. Apparently they do this to everyone, since the plumber knew about their scam already. We try to help local businesses but now regret giving them our money. read more

Took my deposit for a fireplace and informed me they (KG) would be in contact with me to come out to measure and take the first 1/2 of the payment. I called them on 10/4 and was told that they were really busy and not sure when they could get out to me. They called back with an appointment for 10/10/22. Jayden Watts from (KG) shows up and does his initial drawing and measures. We go over access points and rout for delivery. He said no problem with getting the fireplace into the patio. He asks for me to take pictures of the gate and access point and send them to the company which I did. He also told me he would be e-mailing me a receipt of the transaction along with pictures of the progress on the fireplace. On 11/10/22 I received a text to confirm the delivery of the fireplace on 12/20/22. Around 11/16/22 I received a call from KG. Spoke with individual Mike who said he was a manager at the company. He starts the conversation out with I (the consumer) may have a problem. I ask what is the problem I may have. He proceeds to tell me that the fireplace may not fit through the gate and passageway. I ask how is this my problem. Your company's representative (Jaydne Watts) measured and told me that it was not going to be a problem. He was very persistent that this was my issue and that there was nothing more he could do about it. I disagreed with him and the conservation got very heated. I suggested that we call it quits and he could just send me my money back but that was not an option. I ask him why the receipt was not emailed out to me and where was the follow-up emails and pictures of the construction. He said that was promised by someone else, not him, and not his issue. I informed him that I would not be giving a positive review of the company and his response was "Write whatever you want to about the company I don't care." On the same day right after that I called the company back and talked to someone named George who pulled up my record and looked at pictures and assured me that it would fit no problem because it comes in three pieces. He gave me Brady Shaw's number and told me that would be my point of contact. On 12/9/22 I received two texts from KG. informing me that delivery of the fireplace will be on 12/17/22 between 8 am-11 am. 12/14/22 Brady Shaw leaves me a voice mail requesting final payment or a late charge will be imposed. This is the first contact I had from them talking about the final payment and they are telling me I will have a late fee if I do not contact them for the final payment. I reach out to Brady Shaw later in the day and question him way he would make such a statement. No response to that. He was quick to take the final payment. Questioned him on the delivery day and he confirmed with me that the date had not changed it was scheduled for 12/20/22. I referenced and sent him copies of the text I received about the 12/17/22 delivery. He reassured me no delivery is scheduled for the 20th. I question him about sending a receipt and the pictures. He did provide me with a receipt and pictures but the pictures could have been from any fireplace under construction. 12/17/22 around 1030 I get a call from KG telling me they are about 1/2 hour out from my house for delivery. I told them no problem and headed home. I called Brady Shaw when I got home and had to leave a message no callback. I would and will never refer this company to anyone. I have nothing positive to say about them other than the delivery crew was great. Appears to me no communication at the company and they are more interested in getting paid and will worry about delivery later. After reading the fine print I would have never started this process with them and numerous complaints about KOKOMO Grills.
