Kokio Chicken had an opportunity to be a great dining experience, but right off the back, the menu is hella confusing and the cashier is clueless. No fountain drinks with the meal combos we ordered, so now we are making a second purchases for beverages for an in dining experience. It literally took more than half an hour to get our food, while we sat in a barebones restaurant with the ambience of an empty building. A complete trash experience although the chicken was okay. One star might still be too much. Not coming back to this $30 mediocre dining experience.

    Takeout bagged 20 piece wings

We ordered for pickup on a Saturday night and it did take a few calls to get through on the phone because they were very busy taking calls! A lady answered and took our order, gave us a time frame for our 20 piece wings order (20 mins) and called us to let us know when our food was ready. We left we she called us and it took us about ten mins to get there...and then we were told that there would be an additional wait of 2-5 mins. So either they called us incorrectly or they gave our order away and gave us the next order up? Either way, that was sketch. We left with time to spare because we do not like waiting and ended up waiting anyways. The food was well packaged and was still very crispy when we got home and ready to eat over 15 mins later. They don't come with anything besides the chicken themselves. We chose original crispy and honey bee, since the reviews raved about that flavor. I liked it and it did have a little spicy kick to it. Enough so that I wouldn't serve it to kids but not enough where you'd need to bust out the milk or ranch dressing to dull the pain. The original crispy was ok, nothing special and really, really battered. It would have been better with some sort of sauce or topping, so it's worth paying the $1.50 to make it a different flavor. It was just too doughy, if that makes sense, and there wasn't enough chicken to balance it all out. The crisp factor was on point, so positive there. For 20 wings, our total came out to be $29ish with tax. I think there is like a $7 hike of price ordering through yelp's GrubHub Collab, but no upcharge if you call it in or order through their website which uses Clover. We ordered on the phone just to be sure. Will be back to try other flavors since price for the wings aren't too bad, considering how much Asian fried wings cost, and hoping for other yummy flavors.

I a in the area and my buddy suggested this spot for fried chicken. The place was clean and the staff was super friendly. I ordered 3 drums legs, with garlic flavor. When the order came out the chicken legs huge! The flavor was outstanding, and the chicken was tender and juicy. Will definitely come back to this place and order more chicken. I was particularly looking at the spicy chicken, I can't wait to try.

Yeah i seen this in the bag and busted down a drumstick in the car this chicken is the truth. Perfect amount of crunch and spice and not over done on the breading. Had my order up and ready to go on Thanksgiving day. Staff is very friendly and personable. Environment is clean as well. Definitely coming back!

Burnt chicken... No thank you. So it's not the first time I have ordered from here so I expected the same quality of food. but this time I ordered they sent me burnt chicken and poor quality I called the place and the customer service was NOT great. The person I spoke to who says they are the manager/owner said the sauce is suppose to be black but clearly it's burnt. Never will I give them my business again.

Finally! I have found a great chicken spot within the Katy, Richmond, Fulshear area. This place did not disappoint. I ordered the 20pc wings (Original and Sweet & Spicy). The chicken was fresh, hot and crispy. The owners were very nice and friendly. The establishment was nice and clean. Like I said, the food did not disappoint. I will be back soon to try other wing flavors!

I love chicken. A little too much. This place has only worsened my chicken addiction. I was shocked to find Korean fried chicken in the heart of Cinco Ranch - I've been to several other places, but this one... this is it. *chef's kiss I just discovered this scrumptious place two weeks ago, and I've already ordered more than four times. I definitely don't think I'll fit into my favorite Christmas sweater this year. Location is easy to find with ample amount of parking shared in a plaza. Traffic isn't bad, but I would avoid school hours since it's located near a junior high and high school. The restaurant is small with lots of space and a good amount of seating. Customer service is amazing here, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The original chicken is my favorite. It has a slight spicy-mild taste to it, with just an incredible amount of crunch. The chicken isn't overpowered by an insane amount of skin either - it's a perfect ratio. Honey-bee is just as delicious! It's crunchy with sticky sauce that is sweet with just a hint of spice to it as well. This was a big hit with my kids. Honey rice cake tastes similar to honey bee without the spice, and makes the perfect appetizer. The rice cakes were soft and chewy, and topped off well with the boneless chicken. Waffle fries are average, but they went great with the chicken. Really crispy and not too salty. The spicy rice cake was my least favorite, but still very good! It's different from what I anticipated - it's more of a soupy, stew-ish like dish. It wasn't overwhelmingly spicy, and it had a great amount of rice cake, fish cakes, and some veggies. Overall, the chicken is phenomenal! Crunchy and juicy, cooked to perfection every time. Out of all the Korean fried chicken places I've visited here in Houston, this is my number one, go to spot!

I love Kokio Korean fried chicken! I've been here a few times and everytime it's been great. Today I got the drumstick plate(original crispy) combination with french fries. The food is always made to order fresh so there is usually a 20-25 minute wait time after ordering. I recommend that you order ahead if you don't want to wait. The place is very clean and the staff is welcoming. I definitely recommend others try this place out.

This place was really good and the service was great, I really enjoyed the flavours i got! I just wish they were actually spicy. This place is kinda pricy too so just take note of that.

Nice flavor! I ordered the spicy crispy wings with fries. Very crispy and nice kick! Not too spicy at all but great taste. I ordered the Cajun sauce on the side. Ummm not a fan. Neither was my husband. I'm not sure where cajun comes in...it gave more of a sweet spicy soy sauce.

Robin was our server and she did great. The problem was the cooks in the kitchen. They may need some more training. Well, 2 of us ordered breakfast and 2 of us ordered dinner. The dinner portions both gave 2 thumbs up. 2 breakfast people were not as happy. First thing , plates came out to tables one at a time. Pet peeve of mine. It throws people dining experience off. Whoever cooked the breakfast one came out to greasy and the other came out almost after we were all done. She had asked for a scrambled egg on the side of her French toast and if you look at the photo it was a fried egg chopped up and the French toast was soggy. Only the kitchen to blame for that one. Now the impressive part, they acknowledged it right away and told us it would be taken off the bill, no worries and also served us a complementary dessert for the trouble. Now , that's how a situation should be handled. Hands on managers and making it right. I will give them that. They care about the customers. Everything that was brought out by our table looked very good and saw a couple things brought back to the line. We were sitting right beside the pick up area. It is a very family friendly restaurant and it was very busy. So I'm not going to bash this restaurant or review because I feel if they know- they will work to fix any future problems in the kitchen area. I can only review our situation with hopes that it helps with training. Your line managers did a great job at rectifying the situation.

That said, my go to order is the Soy Garlic and Honey Garlic Wings. They're crispy, juicy, not over sauced and cooked perfectly. I love the pickled radish though be forewarned if you're not used to them. They will stink but trust me. They taste better than they smell. One important note about Korean wings: since they're double-fried, the bones will break and splinter pretty easily so BE VERY CAREFUL about giving them to younger kids unmonitored. Other items I've tried and while good, not what I would drive here to get (especially with how expensive the wings are). Traditional Original: Reminds of me Hooters wings a little. A bit too plain for me and while they're good, the flavored wings are why I come here. Boneless wings - Tried a couple and while they're good, not worth the price. But we do get these for the younger kiddoes. Secret sauce wings: I'd skip these. Flavor isn't bad, but way over-sauced and the wings are borderline soggy. Needless to say, they don't have the same crisp the Soy Garlic and Honey Garlic wings have.

I ordered the cheeseburger, and while the burger is big, it still has to be put together well--and the bread should not be soggy at the bottom. Mine was, and the whole burger ended up being pretty messy. The onion rings had a cake-like texture--soft and sweet--but I think they could improve the batter so they stay a little sweet while still getting that crisp bite. The steak fries were not fresh at all and were extremely salty to the point of being uneatable. We only ate about half of our burgers, and the rest had to be discarded. It felt like a waste, especially since the steak fries had to be thrown out too. A few of my coworkers didn't enjoy their burgers either.
