Stopped by for a quick meal and the food was great! The spicy crispy wings were tasty and juicy. The fries were crispy and hot. The cole slaw was nice and light. I also really enjoyed the honey chicken rice cake dish. The rice cakes and chicken are crispy and coated in a sweet and spicy honey sauce. Everything was made fresh to order. The man running the place was very kind. They offer a variety of chicken options and flavors. The one thing that brings down a star for me is that it was pretty hot inside while we were eating. No fountain drinks with the meal combos we ordered, so now we are making a second purchases for beverages for an in dining experience. We ordered for pickup on a Saturday night and it did take a few calls to get through on the phone because they were very busy taking calls! A lady answered and took our order, gave us a time frame for our 20 piece wings order (20 mins) and called us to let us know when our food was ready. We left we she called us and it took us about ten mins to get there...and then we were told that there would be an additional wait of 2-5 mins. So either they called us incorrectly or they gave our order away and gave us the next order up? Either way, that was sketch. We left with time to spare because we do not like waiting and ended up waiting anyways. The food was well packaged and was still very crispy when we got home and ready to eat over 15 mins later. They don't come with anything besides the chicken themselves. We chose original crispy and honey bee, since the reviews raved about that flavor. I liked it and it did have a little spicy kick to it. Enough so that I wouldn't serve it to kids but not enough where you'd need to bust out the milk or ranch dressing to dull the pain. The original crispy was ok, nothing special and really, really battered. It would have been better with some sort of sauce or topping, so it's worth paying the $1.50 to make it a different flavor. It was just too doughy, if that makes sense, and there wasn't enough chicken to balance it all out. The crisp factor was on point, so positive there. For 20 wings, our total came out to be $29ish with tax. I think there is like a $7 hike of price ordering through yelp's GrubHub Collab, but no upcharge if you call it in or order through their website which uses Clover. We ordered on the phone just to be sure. Will be back to try other flavors since price for the wings aren't too bad, considering how much Asian fried wings cost, and hoping for other yummy flavors. read more

I noticed a lot of people just order for pick up, I went to try their chicken and it was pretty good just a bit cold and greasy. The service was great, the restaurant gets a little smoky after they cook, maybe they need more ventilation in the kitchen. I guess it is way better to get it as take out. Finally! I have found a great chicken spot within the Katy, Richmond, Fulshear area. This place did not disappoint. I ordered the 20pc wings (Original and Sweet & Spicy). The chicken was fresh, hot and crispy. The owners were very nice and friendly. The establishment was nice and clean. Like I said, the food did not disappoint. I was shocked to find Korean fried chicken in the heart of Cinco Ranch - I've been to several other places, but this one... this is it. *chef's kiss I just discovered this scrumptious place two weeks ago, and I've already ordered more than four times. I definitely don't think I'll fit into my favorite Christmas sweater this year. Location is easy to find with ample amount of parking shared in a plaza. Traffic isn't bad, but I would avoid school hours since it's located near a junior high and high school. The restaurant is small with lots of space and a good amount of seating. Customer service is amazing here, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The original chicken is my favorite. It has a slight spicy-mild taste to it, with just an incredible amount of crunch. The chicken isn't overpowered by an insane amount of skin either - it's a perfect ratio. Honey-bee is just as delicious! It's crunchy with sticky sauce that is sweet with just a hint of spice to it as well. This was a big hit with my kids. Honey rice cake tastes similar to honey bee without the spice, and makes the perfect appetizer. The rice cakes were soft and chewy, and topped off well with the boneless chicken. Waffle fries are average, but they went great with the chicken. Really crispy and not too salty. The spicy rice cake was my least favorite, but still very good! It's different from what I anticipated - it's more of a soupy, stew-ish like dish. It wasn't overwhelmingly spicy, and it had a great amount of rice cake, fish cakes, and some veggies. Overall, the chicken is phenomenal! Crunchy and juicy, cooked to perfection every time. I love Kokio Korean fried chicken! I've been here a few times and everytime it's been great. Today I got the drumstick plate(original crispy) combination with french fries. The food is always made to order fresh so there is usually a 20-25 minute wait time after ordering. I recommend that you order ahead if you don't want to wait. I had high hopes for this place. Sadly, something was off, but I couldn't quite make it out what exactly. Either their marination was bad and the chicken was good, or the other way around. Tried Kokio Chicken and was not disappointed. Their prices are higher than national chains. I tried the hot chicken sandwich combo. At first I thought it would be a filet but it was two tenders. Due to my drive home I decided to pass on cole slaw in sandwich. The size of tenders and side of fries was good. Taste was good and sauce on tenders was not to spicy. Overall it was good and tasty. This place is excellent, and very close to home! Literally a few minutes away which is very convenient. The chicken is cooked fresh to order, very crispy and flavorful. When you order takeout, takes around 15-20 minutes so I suggest calling ahead, and when you pick up your food they will leave the container for your wings open with the flaps up on the box so the chicken stays crispy. So far I've only tried the wings with 2 different sauces (Cajun, Honey Bee) and both were delicious! The fries are good as well, I actually prefer the regular fries over the waffle fries but both are good and large portions. I look forward to trying more items off the menu. I haven't written a review in years and honestly I didn't really want to write one, but I just felt the need to. We have dined here once before sometime last year. We had an okay experience the first time around. It was run by some Asian people back then so I'm not sure if ownership had changed since then. We came here tonight on a whim really because we didn't know what else to eat. We came in and it took a good 10 min until we were able to order because the guy was on a call with a customer. We order our food and took a seat. It literally took over an hour for 10 wings, a basket of fries, and 5 big drumsticks. They kept saying they have been slammed and running behind. Ok, we get sometimes things happen. Came out with our order and the wings had no sauce on there. There was only 5 pieces and no sauce. Sent it back and luckily they came out with it in about 5 min. Mid meal, we looked at one of the big drumsticks and saw there was a small pool of blood juices coming out of the chicken. Told the people and sent it back... cook came out and asked what the problem was and we told him. He said well there is always going to be blood close to the bone because the drumstick is so thick. They had the audacity to clean up the pool of blood before coming out to show us what the heck we were talking about. Should have taken a picture. He kept arguing and saying well it takes a long time to fry- 20 min or so. Yeah, we get that but there shouldn't be blood juices running out like that. Sorry. He offered to remake it but hell at this point we were livid and hell it would have probably taken another hour before it came out or got our chicken spit on. What a horrible experience. They barely had any plates. All they had were the paper box that was so tiny. Where exactly are you supposed to put all your bones? To me probably has the best sauces of Korean Fried Chicken that KATY has to offer. The lady who owns the place was super sweet, and when I requested to have the sauce on the side so my chicken doesn't get soggy, she assured me not to worry, her chicken is very crispy!! She was really helpful and patient with me while ordering, answering my questions, and giving recommendations. I came first thing when they opened after a grocery stop at HEB, it's a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the drive! I got 3 flavors of chicken, Honey Bee, Garlic, and Sweet&Spicy. My favorite hands down was Honey Bee, however the other two were both equally delicious, she did recommend for me to not do the garlic on the side because it's better cooked into the chicken (I'm glad I went with this recommendation) they have many options to choose from ranging from traditional KFC, just wings, tenders, sandwiches, and salads. They also have numerous different kinds of appetizers. I'm glad they brought the franchise here and will most definitely be back to try the Cajun flavor!!!! read more
